Yes you can if you want crap coils, the coils FT sells are pure crap.
I do not and won't use FT anything. I'm not willing to wait forever and go through the hassle of packages of things that are illegal to ship getting caught by China's postal service and returned, then having to wait for a credit on your card. It simply is not worth it to me, I buy from US suppliers only. coils aren't that difficult to make, the hard part is installing them anyway. :)

Can't you use premade coils? I've run into conversations about ppl using FT coils and those are 50-100 for $3 or $5. Insanely cheap. All they do is install???

Yup. I know nuthing bout this.

Karen - You may want to consider these clearos. Lots of positive reviews coming in on other threads $6.07 KWX5 Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Atomizer (2.0mL) - 2.4

I'm still looking for something a bit bigger for 20mm mods (Provari). Hypertank is ok, not in love with protank or puritank.

They seem a bit pricey for plastic clearos? Is there something about these that makes them worth it?

I just ordered some of these:

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1528502 (2ml Glass tank) $3.35 ea

And have used a bunch of these (slightly smaller 1.5ml)

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1411/10004691/1369403
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1369401 (10-pack, less than $2/ea)

FT does have pre-made NR-R-NR wires that I'm going to try (wires, not coils). At the price it's hard to argue not giving them a go.

Claudia, although I understand your position, FT has actually gotten a lot better. They now ship batteries through a different, legal carrier, and the shipping delays and stranded packages (caused by HK Post) do seem to be a thing of the past. I do order a lot of stuff from them and although occasionally you get crap, most of it is good stuff cheap IMHO. YMMV

That evod pack can't be beat for budget, quality vaping..

The others are just getting surprisingly good reviews, anodized, blingy. I really need to look for something 19mm - 20mm for mods anyway. Rebuildables are tempting but in all honesty, I know me and right now it won't happen. I'm stomping out too many other fires right now.

I have a different perspective on FT. I think they are getting messed with. Batteries in devices illegal (egos)? That would mean all cell phones, laptops, tablets, mp3 players, etc are also "illegal". FT has been in biz less than 2 years. Too successful, too fast for someone's comfort. But then I don't agree with the principle of MAP's either. I can't afford not to wait.

I still support b&m's. I just wish they'd carry pretty stuff, not pipe bombs or things that look like they should vibrate. So far, my wonderful b&m's can't figure that out. They also can't figure out how to do a pg free liquid. They assume their number one clientel is 30-50 yr old males. Everyone else doesn't exist. I've talked with owners about this because that's not the demographic I see online.

I feel pushed into mech's and rba's if I want to stay within b&m's when the reality is I'm can be happy with ego's and ce4's at times. The local b&m's laugh at purple. Not my problem if they loose.

It would be kind of interesting to take a look at the demographics of vaping at the moment. Are there really more men than women? Ages? My suspicion is that older women (over 45) are being ignored in the states. It wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

The reason ppl became aware of vv/vw is because FT undercut the price of Vamo. They forced the original competition. Prior to FT the lowest price for vv/vw was over $80 per mod.

I'm interested in your review. That could be a game changer for me.

My biggest fear is that some 10 year old kid is sitting around making them for $0.10/day or something. One of those things I hate thinking about.

I am ordering online just from US sellers. I really don't like the waiting and I don't order enough stuff to save enough to make it worth the not knowing when or if it is going to arrive. Dealing with USPS is bad enough without adding a slow boat from China into the mix.
They may be getting better but I still am hearing stories every day about things taking way longer than I'm willing to wait. I'm not putting anyone else down for using them, it's just not something I'm willing to do. :)

With the way our own USPS is mangling packages I would be hesitant to order pre-made coils from anyone who couldn't hand deliver them, I imagine smashed flat coils arriving. LOL

Ah, good morning.

Don't have much to add except I got a couple of those cheep pretty mech mods from FT that don't seem like the would break and they did. So that's how I ended up getting the Provari. I got tired of constantly replacing my equipment.

Shari, I got some type M from the Plume Room because it was on sale. Do I need to let that steep or should it be good to go right out of the package?

I think I was reacting to other comments I've been hearing about FT being "illegal" and messing around with the post and a lot of rumour mill stuff than specifically to you. I apologize. No one likes to wait for vape mail. I think the coils are shipped in battery boxes and you obviously know more than I do about that stuff. I didn't know they could get mangled.

I have a tendency to be upfront about my opinions; sometimes called foot in mouth disease. I don't mean it personally and I don't take it personally, but I forget that not eveyone can do that. It's fine to disagree. I actually like it. I've changed my mind on a dime.

HOWEVER, I just discovered I'm doomed. Dang. Phiniac sells sandblasted glass protanks in colors. OMG. I want about 15 of them now. What am I going to do? This is serious.

YIKES, Aikanae, you just HAD to mention that, didn't you!!!?? Share the DOOM!

But speaking of Protanks, of which I have a small supply because I decided I never wanted to worry about juice flavors cracking tanks (tho I've still loaded some of the "forbidden" ones into plastic tanks and so far no disasters) ... My stable of PVs is now mostly MVP2.0s 'cause I like them and they do the job. And my Protank IIs absolutely LEAK on them. I was devastated.

THEN last night I saw on a thread somewhere that MVPs are "notorious" for having a low pin connector (I think that's the right term), and that one should use a 510-Ego adaptor on MVP2.0s when using Protanks on them.

Does everyone else with experience already know this, and was it just me stumbling upon one of those key basic facts?

I hope it's correct though because I ordered the adaptors, along with a ton of dripping items, last night. <groan> says my credit card!

... I'm a chef......Cheers mdw3258calif

Oooooh, Yakone, it's going to be FUN to have you around here! Nothing like a chef to discuss flavors with, and that is a passion for all of us I'm sure. I made the same mistake you did on my first e-juice orders. I did my research first, and ordered from well-loved vendors, so I felt confident in ordering lots of bottles including some 30mls -- but EWWW many of them were flavorless or downright BAD at first.

It was a huge revelation to me to then learn about steeping, then to actually be able to leave the juices alone for several weeks (patience? ME!??) -- my gosh, the transformation in some of those ucky or blah juices was incredible.

Anyway, welcome again, Yakone -- really looking forward to hearing more from you here!

Also, as to my username -- just call me "Marla" -- registering for this forum I did another newbie screwup and messed up the username :p)

Interesting. I'm having a hard time getting a good draw on my Puritank and just read a tip about using a toothpick between the tank and pv. Tighten the tank and break off the toothpick. It prevents the tank from becoming wobbly and unstable from unscrewing it slightly.

But my hypertank leaks a little on one of my Zmax's. I have 510 adapters. I may see if that changes anything. That would be sweet if that all it takes.

Well I'm waiting on my edit from Jwraps for the custom design. This is when I hate weekends. I think waiting for this feels longer than it does waiting for an order from FT. AARRGGHH!

To make it worse, I wish I hadn't ordered from FT now because all I want are protanks. LOL! I wish I could just walk into a store and match things up like I would an outfit or sheets to curtains, etc. Why can't vendors understand this agony?

I'm not overly thrilled with Protanks, but that's out the window with colors and designs. I'm totally stoked on them now.

I am another Fasttech Fan, from the beginning, I have ordered from Fasttech, I researched a lot before making purchases and started with Chinabuye then after that Fasttech, my orders from Chinabuye typically took 3 weeks from order to delivery, my orders from Fasttech have never taken more than 11 days from order to delivery.

I have received almost all good product and found that the clearos are an excellent value. They all have worked, I never got a dud. The batteries have been good for the most part, did get two duds but considering the cost of the items I ordered this did not surprise me. Since most of my orders are small, they come in small envelopes and are well padded. No broken in transit items. I can't afford to order from US companies unless they are having significant sales.

I do plan on getting one of the glassomizers that Mark posted, they are a good value and have excellent reviews. I love my Puritank and wish that was all I had, It's easy for me to clean, doesn't have a bad taste and the coils are easy to replace. If this is half as good I will be pleased.

Nothing is illegal" to ship they just have restrictions, I will order from there even if it's illegal in the future and take my chances. I will have to to keep vaping. It's no different to me than ordering antibiotics from a Canadian Pharmacy because I don't have a script. I do it all the time. A person does what they need to do.

If you can afford to go US vendors all the time, god bless you and by all means do it. If you can't this is a great alternative. I will say if you order a Innokin product or name brand from Fasttech you will get the same quality product sold here in the states. Though on Innokin, I am finding competitive rates in the states now, so you don't have to wait. The point is if money is precious you have a viable alternative if you can wait, you should research price and make your decision accordingly.

Fasttech gives me an opportunity to experiment without feeling guilty. I can spend $5.00 a month without feeling guilty at all.

As for Protanks, I love them, I haven't had leaking, I do use adapters on all my Batts and Mods to save the 520 connectors. this also would protect the housing of a mod if there were a leak I would think.

As for Phinniac Tanks, I would love those, I can't ever (well,at least not now, think about it) They do have blue and purlple Authentic Kanger Protank !! on Fasttech if that helps anyone. $12.09 Authentic Protank Clearomizer w/ Pyrex Glass Tank (2.5mL) - purple / 1.8ohm / 2.5ohm / adapter ring at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping $15.98 Authentic Protank-II Clearomizer w/ Pyrex Glass Tank (2.5mL) - translucent / 2.5

They also have a knockoff that is getting rave reviews and it is glass.
$36.29 Protank-II Style Bottom Coil Clearomizer (5-Pack / 2.5mL) 5-pack - ships one of each color / 2.5ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Well, I did it - I'm now the proud owner of an iTaste MVP 2.0. I like it!

I went to the B&M, told them I wanted passthru and bigger than my eGo batteries. They pulled out a VTR, and it was just too dang heavy. Felt like a brick in my hand. They had the SVD too, but since it wasn't passthru, I said no. Asked them if they had the MVP, and he pulled one out. I like the way it feels in my hand. Not too heavy, but still some heft to it. I don't feel like I'm having to double-fist it like the VTR was. It fits in the breast pocket of my jacket, so that's good. Portability was key.

It also came with 2 iClear 16 clearomizers, so I'll try those out. I was a little concerned though, I put one of my EVOD tanks on it and it wouldn't fire. MDW, is that the issue you were having? My Protank 2 went on easy and fired right away.

I have to admit, the puff counter is pretty fun :D

The Phiniac is just the glass tube for $3. That's a lot more dangerous.

Hey Jim! Glad you got it! I really like those Iclear 16's you probably could pull the pin down from the I 16 just a bit to get contact, I would use a tweezer to do it

Thanks Karen

No problem with the iClear 16 clearos, they fired right away. Turns out only one of my EVODs isn't firing, could be the atty is a bit short or something. Not sure what's going on there. It still fires on my skinny battery, I just don't get as much vapor using that.

I've got 5 clearomizers now (Protank 2, 2 EVOD, 2 iClear 16). My flavor ADD isn't screaming at me anymore...I can change it up on a whim...woohoo! :D

I stopped at my original B&M and picked up some more Prospector Peach from Rocket Fuel Vapes, that was one of the first ones I got, and loved it. He's about to stop carrying it, so it's on clearance. I paid about $4 for 10ml. I got some Mt Baker Vapor Cinnamon Roll too...that was yummy. Mango Peach from the shop I got my MVP at. Looks like the brand name on that is Inno-Vapor.

It sounds like you are making great progress! I am familiar of course with Mt Baker, I had heard about Rocket Fuel , never heard of Inno- Vapor I'm sure it's good too. Peach is a good flavor, it also goes well with cream, pear, and cinnamon. The evod pin is too short, you can do the same as I described for the Iclear, just be very gentle.

So glad this is coming together for you!

Thanks Karen

LOL NO I am not going to get one of those mods, I'll probably regret that I didn't but I can't spend that kind of money now either. I am also not at all tempted by the sandblasted PT tanks, I've been very very underimpressed by PT completely. If I were to rebuild the ones I have with micro coils and cotton wicks I might change my mind, but honestly I prefer my Aspire ET-S to any I've tried. No muted flavor at all. I am gravitating away from tanks completely I think, to a point where I probably will only use them when I'm out and about.

But then again who knows, I change my mind frequently. LOL

Oh, PS. My fingers are crossed you are going to get one of those PDIB mods. It's out of reach for me now but I'd love to hear all about it.
