Quite a few people have been complaining about that on the MVP2's, it appears to be a common problem with them. :(

YIKES, Aikanae, you just HAD to mention that, didn't you!!!?? Share the DOOM!

But speaking of Protanks, of which I have a small supply because I decided I never wanted to worry about juice flavors cracking tanks (tho I've still loaded some of the "forbidden" ones into plastic tanks and so far no disasters) ... My stable of PVs is now mostly MVP2.0s 'cause I like them and they do the job. And my Protank IIs absolutely LEAK on them. I was devastated.

THEN last night I saw on a thread somewhere that MVPs are "notorious" for having a low pin connector (I think that's the right term), and that one should use a 510-Ego adaptor on MVP2.0s when using Protanks on them.

Does everyone else with experience already know this, and was it just me stumbling upon one of those key basic facts?

I hope it's correct though because I ordered the adaptors, along with a ton of dripping items, last night. <groan> says my credit card!

I'm interested in your review. That could be a game changer for me.

My biggest fear is that some 10 year old kid is sitting around making them for $0.10/day or something. One of those things I hate thinking about.

If my child was old enough to know what he was doing and have consistency while being safe I would use him for coils. Probably a bowl of ice cream for a few coils. Lol

Well, I did it - I'm now the proud owner of an iTaste MVP 2.0. I like it!................I was a little concerned though, I put one of my EVOD tanks on it and it wouldn't fire. MDW, is that the issue you were having?

CONGRATS on getting the MVP 2.0! I hope you love it as much as I love mine. Workhorse!

And no, I've never had a problem with any of my 510-threaded tanks firing on the MVP. Oh wait, yes I have. And I found I just needed to remove the bottom coil section of the EVOD tank, re-screw snugly but not overly tightly, making sure the little o-ring thingie is properly seated, and ta-daaa, it fired.

Looks like I just have an issue with 1 and only one of my EVOD tanks. Guess I'll just have to use my skinny battery for that one.

I'm having a blast playing with wattage. All the way up to 11, and it tasted like chewing on a battery - yuck!...guess I won't do that again. LOL! 7-8 watts seems to be my sweet spot on all of my atty's.

Here's a tip: most fruits and candies taste better lower, most coffees, desserts, and tobaccos taste better higher. Most of my tobaccos I do @ 10-10.5 watts, everything else sits well around 8. I don't do fruits, mostly coffees/desserts/tobacco, and a couple of menthols.

You're right - Prospector Peach (tobacco) really "pops" flavor-wise at 8.5, where Mango Peach does good at 7.

No matter what clearomizer I have hooked up, I get much more vapor with the MVP. It seems like I'm getting more constant power on that than my twist-style batteries. It seems like those pulse, where the MVP is constant. I don't have to hold the button as long to get a good puff.

I'm unimpressed with the avialability of tanks overall. Out and about is 90% of the time for me. If it's not ready to go, I won't vape. That's one of my biggest hang ups. Well, after it needs to look nice enough to pick up.

I haven't tried the Davide. I just can't picture being inspired by the aspires. I could be wrong. I've viewed videos on rebuilding them and comments weren't positive. I don't know why they'd work all that much better. The davide BDC is close to $25 from what I can tell. That's not chump change. I'd like to have some reason why they are better before getting one. When they first came out everyone said they were so great I grabbed some coils that were cheap for them but now don't have a tank for them. That feels stupid. Then I took a closer look and it's not adding up in my brain.

The hypertank I liked. I've got one more coming within the week I hope but it's VERY heavy and hard to carry. I find I'm leaving it behind. I think my shoulder is getting a permanent dent from hauling heavy mods around in my bag all the time. I go back and forth on that.

I'm frustrated enough to go back to Vision Novas. Cheap and work. I can adjust flavors to suit the tank I'm using so I don't feel I'm missing out there. It's finding the right balance and a dripper is not it for me. Just the thought of carrying an eliquid in my bag is asking for disaster to happen.

I bought parts to a protank and fiddled 5 min with it. I couldn't even put the thing together. Haven't played with it since. I'm sure I'll figure it out - eventually. But I do need ready to go. It feels like manufacturer are on this trend and they are forgetting everything else now.

I'm rambling.

LOL NO I am not going to get one of those mods, I'll probably regret that I didn't but I can't spend that kind of money now either. I am also not at all tempted by the sandblasted PT tanks, I've been very very underimpressed by PT completely. If I were to rebuild the ones I have with micro coils and cotton wicks I might change my mind, but honestly I prefer my Aspire ET-S to any I've tried. No muted flavor at all. I am gravitating away from tanks completely I think, to a point where I probably will only use them when I'm out and about.

But then again who knows, I change my mind frequently. LOL

Haven't read back at all, just wanted to post an update on the Tumblers I got from FT.

Super easy to fill and vape well. They have a fairly tight draw which I don't mind but you could probably drill out the airhole a bit more if it bothered you. Lots of vapor production, flavor on par with the Evods.

No leakage at all that I've experienced so far.

That is all! :)

Oh and for those of you leery of FT--my first order went Singapore Post and took a month to get here (3 weeks alone it sat in Singapore). This was my 2nd order and I chose China e-packet.

Ordered 12/23, had a backorder so it shipped 12/27, and got it Wednesday last week (1/5?) so about 2.5 weeks, maybe less considering the holidays were in there. Much better shipping option, and still free.

Alisa, you hit on a point that I didn't necessarily notice...draw.

It seems tighter using my MVP than on my twists. This is regardless of clearomizer or even using the beauty ring. Is that just something I should get used to?

Yep--I didn't notice that, it may be a function of the shape of your MVP. I have the VV V3, so there's no obstruction when it's screwed on. What I noticed immediately wasn't the draw, but the sheer velocity of the vapor. You barely have to inhale to get a good amount. I was a little surprised by that.

ETA: now that you mention it, I am using my ProTank II today and it is hitting a bit tighter than when it was on my Spinner. I also have a different drip tip on it (the one that came with my dripping atty) so I figured that was the difference. Maybe not?

My experience with toppers is very limited. I had 1 Vivi Nova that came with a kit (didn't care much for it). I started with Evods and have been using the ProTank I since it came out. I've looked at many and thought about trying some, but just never did. I planned on trying a cartotank when I found a juice I liked enough to fill one, but still haven't gotten around to it. I guess I've become comfortable with my ProTanks and probably don't know what I'm missing out there. :(

I just can't get into cartotanks. I've tried but they're way too fussy for me. I think I've got the hang of priming the cart but for me there's just too much involved in getting it ready to vape. I still love the looks of the phiniac tanks and for that reason alone I want one, but I'm just not sure if I'd use it.

I was a little concerned about the fiddle factor with cartotanks, too, although some seasoned vapers swear by them. I'm at the point where I've been buying very little equipment as of late, and concentrating more on getting juices I can vape on a daily basis. I've found a few, so I may get back into updating equipment soon.

I finally got a little caddy (really just a little plastic container) for all my juices--they were cluttering up the cabinet and if I reached for something in the back, the ones in front would fall out, lol. I counted them, and I currently have 40 juices in various states of having been used. Gah! No need to tell me about finding something that you like, lol! I think I'm pretty much there, but ideally I'd like to have 10 or so juices to have in regular rotation. I use the same 6 over and over and I'm starting to get bored. Not that I don't like them, I just want something different that I like as much as those.

The only hardware I'm considering is maybe some bigger RDA's and RBA's, and eventually another mod (that's in the distant future).

I have countless bottles of juices, many of which I've given away, but it seems there's always more to take their place. I only have 3 or 4 that I can vape for longer periods of time, but even those get boring after a while.

I have no experience with RDAs or RBAs. Which would you suggest to try for a beginner with those? I'm not even sure of the difference between them.

I've only got one, and have had it since Wed, so really I'm not the best to ask. I've been told that the Empire RDA is super easy:

Stainless Steel RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer)

I've also been told that the Ithaka clone or the Trident clone are good--Ithaka for more experienced users, and the Trident for beginners. I don't think there's much to learn, as long as you know ohms/volts/watts, and can read the ohms on your build. After looking into it a bit more, I think coil wrapping is fairly straight-forward, although FT is now selling pre-wrapped coils, which look pretty cool:

$2.16 Pre-Coiled Welded Wires - NR-R-NR (50-Pack) 50-pack - 32 AWG / 1.5ohm / 30*30mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Thank you Thaya. I made it!

Love the Bananas. Hope they don't trigger a migraine. I am mesmerized like a child watching them. You outdo yourself again. Love it!!!

Good morning everyone! I'm finally home from work and catching up with everyone. It's been a busy night around here. I see we have some new night owls.

Shari, congratulations on six months cig free. I knew you could do it and I'm so proud of you! You get the crazy bananas. ;)

That reminds me. I've been playing with different drip tips (just taking one off and putting another on) stone, acrylic, ming, pawn, etc. and some might have subtle flavor changes but nothing I'd fuss about - then I threw a large big belly stainless on top and I thought I had a new juice. Quite a difference. Not better or worse, just different. I don't even know where I got it (none are over $5). I was surprised. That's all I know.
