The killer 705 and diver does too - probably the Sophia and I would think the ody clones too.
NR wire N wire as claudia pointed out this is used in the ithika which is a real unique atty, reisitance and non-resistance wire the wire in a coil that heats up is resistnace wire, but the Ithika is a unique kind of design it requires two long legs of non resistance wire to the positive and negative posts.most atty's don't require it,occasionally some people like to make short sections of their coils at each end out of non resistance wire, the reason is so the coil doesn't get whatis called hot legs which affect the flavor.but 98% of the time it'snot neccesary. nr-r-nr non resistant leg to resistant coiled wire to non resistant leg the only RBAs that come to mind that use it are those made by the golden greek.
And congrats .....on the little one, you are becoming rich.
Good info...so my question is, can you use these in any atty, even if they don't require an N-NR leg? Or will it mess something up if you use it on an RBA/RDA that doesn't need it?

Claudia,
Are you finding that you are going through a lot more juice on the aspires and RBAs??? I have read that they eat up the juice. I know the iclears go through a lot of juice. Can you give me an idea. You know I drip on a 510 atty, probably the most conservative of juice eaters. My Evod will last me for hours, those hold 1.6ml of juice. Do you use more juice with a dual coil?
Any insight on juice consumption of these toppers would be appreciated. I saw a picture of your trident. It is pretty. So a single coil you have to put metal tape over an air hole?
Got you. I am not nuts about that type of thing and I am not good on my feet for any length of time. Just letting you know I am willing. I do not think I would go to something like that by myself either. Where is it that Pbusardo is going to show up?
Thank you for explaining that. It does help. Now let's see if I can apply it.
From what you are saying there, then I should be using that type of wire for my Evod and Protank head coils. The wire has to be touching the rubber type insulator in the bottom, so the legs should be NR. Am I understanding that right? That is not what the guy who taught me was using last night, he was using just a regular piece of 30 gauge wire. Or am I over thinking again.
They won't mess anything up, you just don't need them...... in the oddy the length of the non reistance leg is like i don'tknow something like 1 inch or 1.5 inches, but in a kayfun there really is no leg to the posts like 1mm, sometimes in gennys the distance from the coil to the postive post can be greater, but most genny are designed with ss mesh in mind and so people push their wick and coil close to the post then tighten it down.people that use ceramic and can't bend the wick over will put a wide washer on the positive post that reaches out to the coil, or sometimes instead of a washer if the distance is to great they will drape a piece of cotton on the leg of the coil and soak it in juice it keeps the wire from glowing red getting to hot and affecting the flavor. in order tomake a nr-r-nr coil you either have to make knots at the joints oryou have to pulse weld the sections together it is a pain in the ..... but in most RBAs the distance between the coil and the post is so small it is irrlevant to use nr legs you'd wind up with a section of nr wire about 1 or 2 mm long on each end..the coil itself needs to be made of resistance wire
Thank you all for the lessons in NR and R wire. It makes sense and I have read that the Sophia requires this type of wire. It gets real confusing and then I make it more so by over thinking everything.
Claudia, thank you for your honest answer. I do not know how much I vape either anymore. I am enjoying too many different flavors every day to keep track. You know I am horrible with the math and science type stuff.
I am still waiting and am on BabyWatch. This has been going on since about 2pm and it is almost midnight. I hope she already had the baby and everybody is sleeping. If not, this is taking longer than I thought it should, her being over two weeks early. So I wait.
I just got a call from my son. I am going to be a Grandmother tonight (or tomorrow). My daughter in laws water broke and they are at the hospital.
It should not take long. The little guy has been fighting for weeks to come out. Now let's see how long he takes to get here. OOhhhhh! I am so excited!
YIKES, Aikanae, you just HAD to mention that, didn't you!!!?? Share the DOOM!
But speaking of Protanks, of which I have a small supply because I decided I never wanted to worry about juice flavors cracking tanks (tho I've still loaded some of the "forbidden" ones into plastic tanks and so far no disasters) ... My stable of PVs is now mostly MVP2.0s 'cause I like them and they do the job. And my Protank IIs absolutely LEAK on them. I was devastated.
THEN last night I saw on a thread somewhere that MVPs are "notorious" for having a low pin connector (I think that's the right term), and that one should use a 510-Ego adaptor on MVP2.0s when using Protanks on them.
Does everyone else with experience already know this, and was it just me stumbling upon one of those key basic facts?
I hope it's correct though because I ordered the adaptors, along with a ton of dripping items, last night. <groan> says my credit card!
Thanks Karen
No problem with the iClear 16 clearos, they fired right away. Turns out only one of my EVODs isn't firing, could be the atty is a bit short or something. Not sure what's going on there. It still fires on my skinny battery, I just don't get as much vapor using that.
I've got 5 clearomizers now (Protank 2, 2 EVOD, 2 iClear 16). My flavor ADD isn't screaming at me anymore...I can change it up on a whim...woohoo!
I stopped at my original B&M and picked up some more Prospector Peach from Rocket Fuel Vapes, that was one of the first ones I got, and loved it. He's about to stop carrying it, so it's on clearance. I paid about $4 for 10ml. I got some Mt Baker Vapor Cinnamon Roll too...that was yummy. Mango Peach from the shop I got my MVP at. Looks like the brand name on that is Inno-Vapor.
Alisa, you hit on a point that I didn't necessarily notice...draw.
It seems tighter using my MVP than on my twists. This is regardless of clearomizer or even using the beauty ring. Is that just something I should get used to?
