Sorry JJ I don't do commissions, for some reason that takes all of the enjoyment out of it for me so I just don't do them. This one was done as a class project a couple of years ago, it wasn't finished and printed until last spring and just now getting to the mounting, matting and framing.
Shari one of these days I put up the progression of this one, since I was doing it of his cousin's husband I would email her progress, I also wanted proof of it having been done freehand. This was not done as a commission it was one I just really wanted to do and I had no idea in the beginning how it would come out, I was very very surprised.
They were out of the matting she wanted so they ordered it and the painting will be ready next Wednesday.
I'm thinking about doing a collection of roosters, including my avi one, and doing them as 5x7 to 8x10 gallery wraps and hanging them in my kitchen. I have a good wide format printer that prints 13" wide and takes roll canvas so I could easily print big enough to do gallery wraps on those sizes without having to send them out for printing.

Lox, you nailed it! And I notice when I'm done done done and nothing tastes good, my old standby 555 that I made up months ago still hits the spot. Even my favorite vanilla custard begins to taste blah and boring after a couple tanks full.

I spent the day with my kids, my sister and her kids, and watched/smelled her smoke approximately 20 Newports. ONE time I felt like if she lit one more in front of me I was going to lose my mind, but then I turned up the wattage on the good old 555 and the urge passed. The kids finally got rid of the stomach ailment and it looks like the bug skipped meunless the best is yet to come.

In the last few weeks they have repaved the track we go to most and they opened today for the first time since the repaving, we decided to go down and have a look at the new track. Short story is they still have a little work to complete before it is really right.
There is a vape shop very close to the track, but normally when we are in that area we are towing the race car in a good sized enclosed trailer and are usually in a hurry to get there so we don't make side trips. Today we were in my car and I asked him if we could check out the vape shop. Bad news is Vintage Vapors doesn't have an online store and I don't know if they do any shipping at all and I forgot to ask. They are very present on FB and on the Scenic City Vapors FB group that I frequent so I have been reading about their juices for a while and really wanted to try them. I have found my coffee vape, it is Zen and absolutely wonderful, the shop is really nice and their prices are very competitive with the online stores (not Fastech I'm sure but I don't buy there so.....). I saw the VTR and loved it, didn't hold it but it sure is pretty, saw lots of other pretties too. I will go back even though it's an hours drive, I will have to get more Zen, I also got another juice I like called Ya Mon, it's a Jamaican Rum with a hint of caramelized banana and quite tasty.

Those sound like good flavors! Sometimes you have to pay more to get a) service, or b) quality product. I don't mind spending more sometimes, because most of the time it's worth it to me for a variety of reasons.
I'm afraid to ask, but how was hubby while you were there?
Is mentholyptus safe to vape? I know Lorann has menthol eucalyptus flavouring, but I read somewhere on the forum it's unsafe to use. And yet, I found this...

Their prices were not bad at all for premium juice IMHO, I think it was about $15 for 30 mil bottles, I would have to recheck the receipt to be sure. Their mod prices were exactly the same as I see online at the stores I shop at and if a tiny bit higher I don't really mind when it supports a local (an hour drive local?) B&M is ok with me, certainly not enough higher to consider it unreasonable. They were very nice and helpful and this shop has free rebuilding classes every Wednesday night, not something I am likely to do but it's a nice thing for them to do, they also offer free coffee and wifi along with the juice bar. SO did pretty well, he found a couple of the people in there interested in drag racing so he had someone to talk "shop" with while I tasted. He's been being a lot better about things since I started going outside and to the garage to vape when he is home.
Well, the free coffee alone is worth it!
It's kind of a shame that he sort of wants you to be as miserable as he is (having to go outside or the garage), but maybe it will soften him to the idea of vaping in general.
He hasn't said I have to go out to vape, I just started doing it when he is up and home, I am continuing to vape at the computer in the morning before he gets up and when he goes out, when it gets really cold I'm not so sure I will do that, I also vape in the basement which works. I don't need to chain vape all the time anyway, I think it is good for me to not have it in my hand at all times.

I just posted this in another thread before seeing this thread: "Been vaping for a short time and really enjoy it. Being a 2 pack a day smoker, I've really cut down a lot (approx 7 cigs a day now). But here is my problem. Why, if I am getting the nicotine (18mg) from this, do I still crave to have a couple of cigarettes a day. I'm sitting at my computer here with my Evod, but yet, I have such an urge to go out (it's cold) to have a smoke. Is anyone else having this problem? please tell me I'm not alone! lol."
Well, it's good to see I'm not the only one having this problem. Someone responded that maybe I should kick up the nicotine to 24mg. If I have to be honest .....and I will be......its more than that. For some weird ... reason, I still like to smoke an actual cigarette!!.....and I can't tell you why because I don't know! I've read all these posts from people saying they started vaping and no longer smoked. I thought great, I'll do the same thing. I mean vaping is much, MUCH more enjoyable than smoking! Ha, this will be easy.....Yet, it's not! I still smoke and like I wrote, still seem to enjoy having a few a day. I thought something was wrong with me and was embarrassed. But now I see no reason to be. Looking on the positive side, I have gone from 2 PAD + to 5-7 cigarettes a day!

You are absolutely NOT alone. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with you. I know you can't read all 10 jillion posts on this thread but at some point all of us were part-time vapers/part-time smokers. I vaped for a couple YEARS before I finally quit smoking, and I'm only one weak moment or bad decision away from a pack-a-day habit again. There are a LOT of members on this thread who still smoke and refuse to be ashamed of it, some who never plan to totally quit, and some to take each day as it comes. {That's me.}
It took a few things to get me cig-free. A few flavors I really enjoyed that actually satisfied the craving for a cigarette. A reliable device that didn't mute the flavor/leak liquid in my mouth/very little "fiddle factor". And the right TYPE of liquid.
I had tried the spectrum of ego-like devices but finally settled on a variable wattage Vamo with Evods/T3's.
I had tried the spectrum of gross to delicious liquid, but decided the best ones were heavy flavors like vanilla, caramel, coffee, tobacco and not so much the light fruity flavors. Oh, and absolutely no menthol, ewwww. 24 mg and no lower. Oh, and here's the kicker. WTA. WTA is a miracle. Please research Whole Tobacco Alkaloids on ECF, see if it's something you feel you need.
You have come to a fun place, everyone will make you feel welcome, we will shout at you if you start beating yourself up though, so watch out for that. And congratulations! Dropping from 40+ to less than 10 a day, what an accomplishment!!!
i stop using cigs for a week or so, then girlfriend forgets that im not using cigarettes and buys me a pack (she had a stressful day at work and out of habit buys us both a pack) and then when i have a stressful day or a bad day i remember i have real cigarettes near me and i go light one, then remember it tastes horrible but finish it because i dont like wasting anything. then i vape some more, and then that doesnt hit the spot, then i smoke, then im back to a pack a day, then im weening off and dont smoke for a while.
hoping i can buy some gear while in florida and some good juice... but does not seem like i will be able to get a ride anywhere off disney property. so ill have to DIY some fruity flavors that i like and steep quickly, and pack them and go with the flow. maybe disney stores sell Blu carts and i can buy those in a pinch...
anyone on here want to make a trip to disney (can be to my resort to hang out, or any resort or downtown disney.. if you dont want to pay to get into a park) and hang out with me? lol. and maybelet me try a sampler of your juice (please have a topper that i can put my 510 drip tip into.. dont like sharing drip tips with anyone)? lol. maybe im just too hopeful.
