Nice job(crompers).. Have not recieved mail back for screw holder(roxy). Will continue looking. I have been side tracked with an order from fastech that was never filled and shipped. I may just get authentics for some time as I'm bummed about a 2 week delay on this. I did order screws(ebay) for posts so waiting for those. Was wondering if anyone has tried retapping the post holes so to use grub hex screws Instead. Thanks for all the info. You guys are the "BOMB" as kids say out here.

Wouldn't it be easier to just get grub screws that fit the existing threads?

Oh.. Okay. I haven't recieved my screws from eBay or ordered screws(for attys') before. Sorry my misunderstanding. Boy I'm in need of all types for others. Anyone have a list of frequently used screws for attomizers? I should order a bunch to keep on hand.

I had a chance to buy a Goblin mini today at a local B&M for 30 bucks which doesn't seem like a terrible price. Upon looking at how small the build deck is, I decided to think about it first. Does anyone think I should stay away from this as a first RTA for someone with very little building experience even on RDAs? I am pretty happy with my TFV4 quad coil and Crown nickel coils, but I do want an RTA although I'm not sure what I'll be gaining there, I just do lol.
You should get one. But there's better prices online. $20-$25.

Nice! Which site is this? Or did I miss that.
click on the red "grub screws" in the above post & it will take you to FatDaddys. Scroll down to the pic attached. They are about in the middle of the page on the left side.

I've got some in the US Mail for my Patriot rba, but you know how that is.

Not on Goblin Mini but on Silverplay and a few other RTAs which have stripped. Negative posts only, which are softer steel. In those cases a #2-56 tap did the trick, over-tapping the existing threads without drilling. They've worked just fine, though I can't say I love those tiny hexes.

Edit: Yes, if you can get matching metric SS screws that would be best. My mind went right to repairing stripped ones.

So, got my GMini today yaaay.

But, where the hell do all these O-rings go? It looks like there's...five? different sizes of spares in the package, but for the life of me I can't find more than two on the unit itself. One on the underside of the top cap where the chimney screws in, and one around the deck base. Where the heck do the rest of these go? Especially the teeny tiny little like 1mm ring?

*edit* Oh there's another big clear one on the top cap...okay so that's three.

*edit edit* Oh there's another one inside where the drip tip goes. Okay four.

The Teeny Tiny one is for the Fill Screw.

And then there was Five.

OH. So it is. hahahaha oh my god that's so adorable, such a tiny o-ring. Like the baby brother throwing a tantrum cause EVERYBODY ELSE GOT O-RINGS I WANT ONE.

Yeah... He is Adorable. But just know that He has a Dark Side.

In that He is Negatively Charged. And Shag Carpet is Positively Charged. And you know what they say about Opposite Charges. They Attract.

So be Careful if you take him out of His Zip-Loc Realm.

So playing with it for a few minutes now, is putting it together as hairy as it feels like?

Where the chimney screws into the deck sleeve, there isn't actually like a set level, you could screw the chimney in all the way down to the screws if you wanted to, so obviously the glass is meant to control how deep you go into those threads.

But the top cap is so slim and tiny, it seems like I barely get half a turn out of it before I can't tighten it anymore, and when I look into the tank I can still see two or three visible levels of threading on the chimney that haven't screwed into the deck sleeve threads. Is that just how it is? I'm trying to find some real good close-ups of assembled GMinis but it's hard to see.

*edit* oh managed to get another bit of turn out of it...I guess it looks the same as the pics online.

Phew. The way this whole tank fits together still seems a bit like magic. Feel like I should sacrifice a goat before I fill it up the first time.

Whoo. Got it built. 2.5mm 28 twisted, .4 ohms.

I've never built on a four post deck before, how in the heck are you supposed to deal with the leads on the second coil? Once the first coil is installed there's no way to even get a lead through for the second coil, at least on the middle post. I ended up eyeballing and pre-cutting the middle lead, but that can't be how it's supposed to be done is it? It's so sloppy, and such guesswork to make sure the lead isn't poking out but is still securely tightened.

It also led to the first time I've ever lost a piece of kanthal wire after trimming it, so now I've got nightmares running through my head of a pet finding it and choking to death ugh.

Anyhow. Sitting for a few minutes before I take my first vape, here's hoping it lives up to my high expectations!
