Anyone doing a dual coil temp build? I'm trying to run is on a istick 40(I use dna200 and sx350j at home) as my very small temp control portable setup but I'm having a hard time with the build.

28 gauge jacket is just getting crushed by the posts.

There's room for about a 2 mm coil (you can fit 2.5 but it's close) with 5-6 wraps unfortunately this puts it below .05 which is the cutoff for the istick. I am running a single coil right now with the stopper but I'd really like to go dual, if here are suggestions. I could use Ti wire and just drop the temp 150 degrees on the istick but that's not ideal.

Hanks for the input. I typically don't have issues finding the right build but this one is just frustrating me.
I would just use Ti, imo, its much less hassle for dual coils on this tank. I almost had a dual ni200 28g build in my GM once, but I tightened it down too much and broke a leg off one of the coils. Which quickly made it a single coil build.

Seems like going back to the initial Goblin launch there were direct comparisons made to the Silverplay. Well now VaporDNA has their answer to the Goblin Mini getting ready to launch, the Silverplay Nano.

Project Sub-Ohm SilverPlay Nano RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer

Looks nice, costs a bit more than the GM, but does give you a bell cap included. The SP Nano is 33mm tall vs 28mm tall on the GM, but SP Nano vs GM w/ 510 DT adapter would probably seem rather negligible in height. Bottom fill looks like it will be easier to use the glass bottle dropper style bottles if that was an issue for you on the GM mini.

There is always something that intrigues me with UD, but always too many downsides for my taste as well, Really sad cause i love the size and the looks, but just cant get over the bottom (screw?) fill and huge potential for leaking..too bad, maybe next time :(

I LOVE the Goblin Mini.

I have never had it leak.

Here is a description of how I coil and wick the awesome lik Beastie.

Coil. single coil mode. 2mm coil at .8 ohms. I like this level so If my mod needs a recharge I can put it on a mech, X6 or even my old Evod battery with Ego connection.

Wicking I have the wick tight but still able to slide in the coil without damaging the coil.

I leave the rails long enough to reach the bottom of the juice wells.

In the beginning I would see a film on the top of the mod. This was not leakage. It was the vapor in the chamber fallubg through the airflow. I reduced this by releasing the Fire button a fraction of a second before finishing my inhale. Reducing the amount if vapor in the chamber.

I am using 70/30 ejuice and that wicking feeds juice like a freight train.

nothing is perfect so it comes down to do the pros outweigh the cons
for me the compactness, generous juice channels and single coil option outweigh the bottom filling

I agree completely!

When I found this little tank I had just about given up on tanks.

I find the flavor of the Gmini to actually better than some RDAs, and my friend Jim G introduced me to the Kayfun Lite Plus with acrylic Bell cap and darn if that set isnt almost as good as the Gmini so I gave up on drippers

The Gmini does have several issues.

Itsy bitsy screws that tend to back out if you do not get them tight.

Claustrophobic build deck

Airflow under the coil(s)

Non standard drip tip

The thing that bothers me the most us the inability to work on my coil build without dumping my juice in a .... glass or tossing.

Since there are two threads and someone asked for builds Ill post the one I just completed here.

New build. 3mm ID 8 wraps of 26 gauge kanthal.

As can be seen it is a very tight fit.

Wicing the thing was a pain and I have no clue yet if it will leak.

It appears to be wicking ok from 30-40 watts.

The airflow is pretty tight with that large coil and wic in there.

Flavor isn't that great, but the build I had before wast either, maybe I'm spoiled after using the mutation v4 and the sapor a lot in the past week.

Overall, I don't know. I'll keep using this setup for a few days and see what I think. Next build will be a 2.5 mm twisted 26 build.

I had my Gmini up to 32 watts and the vape was too hot for me. One of the you tube reviewers had his Gmini authentic to 70 watts

I'm vaping the authentics at 15.3 watts with 25ga . Kanthal A1 8wraps . 71ohms slghtly spaced single. and getting Lots of vapor and great flavor. I think I like 25ga . better than 26ga. for some reason. I did try dual kanthals and didn't care for it that much. Anyone try a twisted coil or coils?

Glad you found a setup that works for you.

I am rocking withba .84 build 26 gauge Kanthal at 15-17.5 watts. On my Kayfun Lite Plus with Bell cap I rock a .78 ohm Kanthal 26 gauge at 17.5-20 watts.

I'm running twisted 28g at .27 ohms with dual coil. Running at 33w on my sigelei 75 and have no leaking issues and it vapes great

Thanks for the info. I think the Gmini is awesome.

Was surprised the twisted 28 fit the post holes.

Are you rocking a clone or authentic?

I haven't seen the Lightning Vapes drip tips get much love, so just wanted to show some of today's vape mail. Never thought I would ever spend $20 on a tip, but the design impressed me and I like it even more in person. Some of the wire I wanted was out of stock so I might pick up another with my next order.

Twisted 28ga...I have to check that out. I like the green color too on black. I m thinking of getting another box regulated 40-75 watt anything with great numbers you guys know of. Not too expensive say $50 or there abouts. I don't think I need a 200 watt device. I have the siegeli 75watt and yihi m class. One more for driving places would be cool to have. Something that fits the hand real well and easy to hit the fire button. Anyone have a good idea, heck let me know.
