I watched grimm's video last night also.

I've been looking pretty much all year for a tank to replace my drippers for pocket carry when out and about. I bit on the original goblin, silverplay and subtank mini and was a bit disappointed. They were all good tanks but not what I was looking for. I normally carry a dual parallel unregulated hammond box and my tugboat v2/anarchist cap or slammed cap with a dual 5 wrap 22g at around .15-.17 ohms.

Anybody rocking this thing on a mech or DUP box around .2 ohms?
How is the flavor in comparison to a decent dripper (tugboat, veritas, etc)?
What's the airflow like in comparison to something like the anarchist cap or slammed cap?
I would say its a noticeable bit more restrictive than an anarchist cap. I've used it on a mech, but with a build around .3 ohm, and it was good flavor.

I have been looking at the ipv d? It uses a single 18650 but regulated mod not a Mech the top wattage is 75. I have a SMPL mech and two 40 watt mods istick40tc and wismec press.
I think the IPV D2 was given decent reviews. So it seems(Rip Tripper 3 days ago) among others. Price is decent $40-49 online. Mike Vapes did say the resistance doesn't stay locked in(TC mode).I want a smaller device to use driving. The IPV D2 may just compliment the Goblin mini, both definately being more discreet and low profile. But I want a device that fires true to the numbers. The VT200 was my first choice but I may get by with the IPV for now. The VT200 feels the very best when holding a device and driving. At least the VT40 did when I had it. May make the plunge Thursday. I also am interested in the Tobeco velocity clone for $20(eciggity) .Dont have an RDA and hear it's a good one.

Right behind you...
The D2 is a fairly accurate device at higher wattages where it doesn't have to buck below battery voltage. And it always had a functional resistance lock, it just displayed realtime/last fired resistance.

For $40, it's hard to beat the combination of size, light weight, solid Yihi chip, and power output potential. For what you're looking for as an on-the-go beater device, I think it's hard to justify spending an extra $100+ for a DNA200.

As for the Velocity, it's a great RDA, clone or otherwise, and it'll spoil you to the point where you won't want to go back to "primitive" center post build decks like the one found on the Goblin.

@Two_Bears, the Joyetech eVic VTC Mini is also a solid choice in that category and price range, though it's physically taller than the D2 and lower wattage (60w), it makes up for it with that excellent display, better build quality, standard USB connector, firmware upgrades, and the bypass mode is a nice feature for somebody coming off a mechanical (which also makes up for the lower wattage in regulated mode).

Croak I won one of the Cloupor Mini Plus mods from ECF. JUST WAITING for it to arrive. That removed my itch for the Evic Mini.

So I was looking at something small and stealthy like the IPV D2.

I tried a twisted 28ga.nichrome and added a 32ga over the top. Spent 2 hours trying to molest that coil into fiting the goliath v2 deck already cottoned and juiced. ...... me off because of the time cleaning, lubeing, and twisting the wires. These decks suck for space to do anything. Sorry if I sound like a whinner. Same with the g.mini... No room. I did eventually just a twisted 28 on the goliath. Just a single. It works pretty good but a single coil deck with room for any build rta/rda would be great. At least it gives you options in trying new things. A low profile single deck atty with great juice channels and airflow that vapes like a dripper is what I'm after.

Sounds like you are looking for a Kayfun V4. Plenty of room for a single coil or dual small coils. It has four screws on the deck.

The flavor will be good because Kayfuns are known for good flavor. It also has juice control, and the ability to be top filled. But the flavor will not equal the GMini.

I know this because I bought one hoping there would be post holes.

No I like the idea here. I would prefer they design it with a better deck and increase the price to compensate. Some good posts (only 2 and more conductive) and better wire anchoring , more room , just a single centered airflow. Better machining and stainless to match. So it's $50-$60 if that's what it takes. I think it has more potential if they could see what I see.

It has great flavor just make it more worthy to work on. But that's only my opinion. I would try to get it that much better, so it's of a higher quality device. Could actually get a rather great response from many of the dripper only crowd.

From your lips to Gods ear!

Now you know why I never bought a second GMini but went Kayfun Lite Plus with Bell cap for my second tank.

Jim G. Woke me up to the Kayfun possibility. I was stunned the flavor was almost as good as the GMini.

If the Lite Plus had post holes I would be very very happy.

3.1 had post holes but has no bottom fill port so I can't use it with a dome cap because there would be no way to fill it unless drilling a fill port and making a silicone plug.

I have only seen 1 Bellus review but not a top named reviewer like Ruby Roo, Suck My Mod, Grimmgreen, etc.

Oh I know. Selling more for a low price. I think i'll just get the Tobeco velocity clone to try. I was just watching some reviews on utube. At least there's several types of builds to do. Plus $20 is a great deal if I enjoy it. You better chill out with your hand.

I would not get a Velocity

I would get a Velocity Mini. It is shorter same deck but shorter would be better flavor.

The velocity isn't a flavor RDA anyway. The mini clone is 6mm shorter than the regular. For $10 and a couple week wait from China, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Agree that Velocity is not a flavor chasing RDA but if you shut down most of the airflow it will vastly improve the flavor.
