Where is everyone buying their Goblins? Can't seem to find very many vendors. I contacted a local vendor and convinced him to order some but he is gauging interest. I think I may have already got enough people interested through reddit. The retailer is kemurivapes if anyone else is interested in ordering a goblin. He ordered them a few days ago.

That's where I'm at too. I emailed UD earlier today with a few questions but if the silverplay has more airflow, I'm heading that direction since, apparently, so many KF parts fit it and I can change the look a bit.

The only issue with using the KF parts, is that any part that requires the use of the KF chimney top section, is also going to reduce your airflow by 30%. The Stock flow on the silverplay is spec'd @ 6mm and the KF is only 4mm stock.

I vape pretty thick juice 85%VG/ 5%/Vodka 3%/Nic/PG 7%/Flavor/PG and have no wicking issues on the Aqua 2. I split my wicks so only a small leg fills the channel. I use this method for my Fogger and Orchid. Works great. I don't believe I would have any problem with 100% VG using this method. I imagine I'll use this method for my Goblin too if I can ever get my hands on one.

Thanks! Knowing that makes me feel like there is hope. Any way I could ask you to throw up a pic of this wicking style?

Gonna post up build pics shortly for you guys.

Oh thankyou thankyouthankyou!:laugh::toast:

Goblin vs Silverplay, isnt the full comparison but a quicky

Welp, looks like, at this point, from what we can tell, it appears like it looks like the

:evil:GOBLIN:evil:

has the Airflow!

...Now if I can just get my hands on one :-x

I do hope they really do come out with the larger capacity version, or even an upgrade kit, as well. I'll keep my fullsize Lemo for the endurance for sure.

Is there any operational difference between the split-wick technique and feathering the wick where you trim from the coil to the tip at an angle? It's interesting for sure, but it seems to achieve nearly the same with way more effort. Of course, most of us like to tinker and find enjoyment in taking our time to get the builds just right, so it's about even in the end. :)

Ive got a big quarrel with this tank though. The deck limits this attys potential a LOT.
Cant go above 2.5mm coils, cant have thick wicks because you will be drinking your juice from spitback on high wattage, and limits wicking speed because of smaller wicks.
I did fit 3mm coils but you literally have them a hairline away from the posts and chimney wall so it isnt usable.
The wicks basically fill the chimney also reducing its potential airflow.
Its still a great atty but the deck makes what could have been an INCREDIBLE tank a great tank.

Start with Dual 26g 2.4mm 8 wrap coils

Wicked with Chado japanese cotton, will trim a lot here so just cut to bottom of deck

Looking directly over the atty, trim straight down at an angle, your goal is to keep fluffy shoulders while having a thin tail just sitting in the channels going down about half way

My other two pics didnt save to my phone for some reason and Im not home so ill upload in a bit, but next you want to trim more to free up airways so youre not completely filling the chimney, you want the cotton no taller than the coils, you alsow want enough shoulder to compensate for the low wick mass so you dont go dry on long pulls at high wattage. If you just have tails with no shoulder to act as a "reservoir" it wont wick to the coil fast enough, its not the attys wicking ability, 2.4mm coil wicks just dont hold much juice.

Edit: Check page 13 for rest of pics

I do not have a Goblin yet, waiting for them to be available again.

How would this work.............?
Instead of a round coil, how would an oval coil work in the Goblin? Wrap the coil around a 2mm by 4mm oval shaped rod and mount it with the 4mm being from top to bottom. This would give a lot more room for wick and the 2mm width would give good clearance between the posts and the chimney side wall. This would also give more room for air flow.
Not sure what could be found that is 2mm x 4mm, but you could use two 2mm round rods stacked together to get a 2mm x 4mm oval coil.
The oval coil would need less wraps and would still give good surface area vs a smaller round coil.

The only issue with using the KF parts, is that any part that requires the use of the KF chimney top section, is also going to reduce your airflow by 30%. The Stock flow on the silverplay is spec'd @ 6mm and the KF is only 4mm stock.

The decision was made today. I ordered an SP for work because of the ability to go full stainless mode with KF parts at work (where I drop ....) and I'll keep the Lemo at the house but I'll still be picking up a Goblin also. Coincidentally, I've got 2 go to flavors currently which means one can be used in the SP and simultaneously either the Lemo or the Goblin and the other flavor can be used in the remaining tank. That gives me two tanks which can be kept in the car when I'm running errands and also by my chair at home with both flavors while still having one at work that's almost drop proof and can be converted to nice airflow whenever it is needed.

I couldn't pass up the $10 off code. I'm still jonesing to try a Goblin..... But at 29.99 for the SP, I couldn't resist.

Unfortunately, I need another mod also and this time I want something a bit smaller than my sig considering spring will be here in about 2.5-3 months. Spring=no big pockets on coats or jackets and I don't wear shorts. Something to fit in my jeans of the slim boot cut variety will have to suffice. The 50w IStick is tempting given the original's track record short of the 510 issue which was apparently addressed and corrected.

I'd like to just pick up a DNA40 device but I have a consultation with a sponsor of my offroad club to spec out/price/coordinate the next upgrade to one of my other toys (jeep) soon which is most likely going to cost well over $1k and I'd like to have the project completed before our spring run in April. Considering we haven't officially entered the planning stage, it will probably be a work in progress until the last minute....

Not to mention taking into consideration of the apparent failure rate of current dna40 chips. :-/
