Good day everyone,

Just ordered a Buzz Pro and am eagerly (impatiently) awaiting its arrival. The only issue I see with the BP, and all electronic devices in general, is a personal one. I happen to be one of the rare few who are completely color blind. The fun part is red LEDs are invisible. Actually, most darker colored LEDs are. This makes the functionality of LED color codes completely useless. My request, if even possible, would be to consider using multiple LEDs for different status functions or a blinking pattern. Something along the following lines.

1 LED on / not blinking - everything is a go.
2 LED on / not blinkingg / 1 LED blinking - device is firing.
3 LED on / 1 LED blinking / all LED out - battery needs recharging.

I do understand this is kind of a major change and that a single, once in a blue moon, situation does not merit changing an entire product line but thought I'd throw it out there anyway. I tend to be fiercely loyal to the few electronics mfgs out there that don't use color patterns just for that reason (assuming they have good products to start with).

Keep up the great work and have fun at the conference.

That is a good point and has come up once before , we have a new interface in the works but it is LED based so ??? not sure if that will help in this case. It will have blinking lights for other functions however just not set voltage.

An easy test... Take a picture in black and white or convert it. High contrast is the key. I'm usually not that concerned about any ancillary features as I adjust voltage by taste and TH usually. It is the more critical ones that get my attention (battery dead, error, etc). If it is something that you would be interested in testing, I would be happy to look at any pictures or videos and give you my feedback.

Ok cool , when we get the new interface out that would be great, If we can serve people with color blindness then we will try ! if you can tell the difference between red / blu / grn ?? that is a clue to the interface. BLue and grn might be an issue.

Red is basically the same as off so can actually be useful sometimes. Well, as long as "off" isn't also an option. Blue and green are only distinguishable by intensity so are simply different brightnesses of white with green typically being the brightest.

Green = bright white
Blue = dim white
Orange = slightly visible black
Red = off

All that being said, a very vibrant green and a dull blue are fairly easy to tell apart. A dull orange and a bright red are next to impossible to tell apart. I see colors in terms of a dimmer switch on a standard light bulb. One single hue being moved through a series of intensities. In terms of say, Photoshop... If you pick any two hues but the same intensity, I will see those colors as being identical to one another. Hope that helps a little.
