Unless you truly enjoy and have experience tinkering with gadgets and already have a good working knowledge of electronics, start simple. Kicking the cigs and getting used to the differences between smoking and vaping is hard enough. Don't set yourself up for frustration!

Had this problem myself. I'm a complete ..... when it comes to electronics. There are idiot proof options like Vision Spinner batteries and Kanger EVOD tanks.

With all the advice that gets tossed around here, I thought it might be nice to compile a list of helpful tips. So:
What's the single most, number one, best bit of advice you can give to someone just starting? (Try to limit yourself to just one!)

I'll start with the most obvious: read, read, and read through the threads at ECF.

You must get over the other chemicals present in tobacco smoke, more potent neurotransmitter altering chemicals than nicotine. Some of them give you a "calm" feeling associated with that first cig of the day. To do that requires determination. Some times you will have to vape like a freight train to get through it, but those moments will get fewer and further between.

I'm new to the form, but have to say two things. First, switch up flavors frequently. My personal favorite when I started a few months ago was cinnamon, but after a few weeks I couldn't taste it anymore. Now using different flavors like watermelon, banana cream, coffee, and green apple flavors. It helps me not smoke when I can taste something awesome instead. Second, when purchasing from a local shop, ask for a sample flavor. Every time I buy something, I ask for a sample flavor I have never tried (usually ask them what they are using), they hook me up, and this helps me find new flavors I never thought I would like. After a while of vaping, traditional cigs just taste gross :)
