Bench Test Results: Epoch 30P - 15A 3000mAh 18650…decent performer at a lower price

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
This cell appears to be accurately rated and is a decent performer that should be available at a lower price. It doesn’t perform quite as well as the Samsung 30Q but where cost is the priority, and as 30Q’s become harder to find, this could be a good cell to consider using.

The two cells I tested delivered 2999mAh and 3002mAh. This is fantastic consistency for a cell from one of the large, established China factories. Both cells tested essentially at their 3000mAh capacity rating but like the cells from the bigger manufacturers I prefer to see the typical capacity delivered by a cell be decently higher than its rating. This is a true 3000mAh cell though.

Two cells were donated for testing by 18650BatteryStore (18650 Battery Store - Lithium Ion Batteries, Chargers and Accessories). Thank you!

HELLVAPE AREZ 120 REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Hello again and welcome to today's review of the AREZ 120 Mod from Hellvape. The AREZ 120 Mod was provided to me from Healthcabin and can be purchased from them using this link Hellvape AREZ 120 Box Mod. The AREZ 120 as you probably guessed has a maximum wattage output of 120 watts when using a 21700 battery, you also have the option of using a 20700 battery that outputs a maximum of 100 watts and finally a 18650 battery using the provided adapter that will output a maximum of 80 watts. This is a very simple to use device being a wattage only one and has only 4 button combinations to remember, now that you know the basics of the device lets delve in for a closer look at the features of the AREZ 120 MOD.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I was very impressed with the appearance of the AREZ 120 upon opening the package, I was sent the blackish green color and didn't expect it to look as nice as it does. It's color matching buttons really blend into the device and the little bump out at the top above the fire button makes a nice fit if thumb firing. Included in the box is the charge cord, user manual, warranty card and 18650 battery adapter.

20210909_141831.jpg

Using a screw-on type of battery cap as many devices do the cap threads were a bit noisy and crunchy for the first few times of screwing on/off but that went away very shortly. Testing all 3 types of batteries I had no movement of them inside the device when it was shaken. Having a type-c charge port is a big plus unfortunately the charge port is on the bottom next to the battery cap.

When a battery is first installed the device will ask what size battery is being used, using the adjustment buttons move to the battery display of the battery your using and press the fire button to confirm your choice and the device will power on.

20210909_145404.jpg

Battery polarity is clearly marked on the battery cap itself with a minus symbol but no markings for positive are inside the battery tube. 4 ventilation holes are present on the cap in case a problem occurs with the battery. The Made In China placement location is a real eyesore for the device as you will see later on in pictures, I always thought something was stuck on the bottom of the device when first testing it out because of it peeking out.

20210911_065430.jpg

The top plate of the device is silver in color with 3 screws attaching it that surround the 510, this was a missed opportunity to really make the device match well with atomizers, it works with most but if the top plate was the same color as the device it would look even better. The device is resting on the included 18650 adapter. A 25mm atomizer fits perfect, you may get away with a 26mm with some overhang.

20210909_145450.jpg

20210909_153205.jpg

On each side of the device is a line that has been milled into the device that runs from top to bottom, I find no real function for them other than giving the device a accented appearance that looks good on it. My pictures really don't show how beautiful the color of my green one is.

20210909_152727.jpg

AREZ is only shown on the bottom portion of the spine in white, placement branding of the AREZ in this location works well for the device. I'm sure that you noticed by now all corners are rounded making it very comfortable to hold.

20210909_145224.jpg

The front face of the device has your control buttons with 100% color matching with the mod, the oblong shaped fire button works well being clicky but not very noticeable, the adjustment buttons clickyness on the other hand are.

20210910_125925.jpg

As earlier mentioned a 25mm atomizer looks the best on this device but even a 24mm works as well, there is a very slight gap between the atomizer and the top plate on all atomizers that I have tried on the mod. Notice the bottom of the mod looks like something is stuck to it, that's the Made In China marking I spoke of earlier.

20210911_105621.jpg

The color display screen is bright and vivid with easy to read fonts along with all the information you need. I wish it had battery % because there is room for it on the screen.

DISPLAY LAYOUT

* Name ( HELLVAPE )

* Wattage

* Lock/Unlock Symbol

* Ohms

* Volts

* Puff Counter

* Battery Bar

20210909_153638.jpg

One thing that I want to mention is that because the adjustment buttons are right above the display screen you should make adjustments pressing them from the sides of the device so you don't block the display screen.

The device adjust in .5 increments from 5-10w after that it adjusts in 1 watt increments which may bother some MTL vapers that use 1/2 watt increments over 10w. The round robin feature is on the AREZ, this is a reasonably fast scroller as well.

There is no menu on the Arez and only 4 button combinations to remember.

* On/Off - 5 presses of the fire button

* Clearing Puff Counter - Press the fire and down button simultaneously

* Wattage Lock/Unlock - Press the fire and up button simultaneously

* Background Color Change - Press the up and down buttons simultaneously

PROS

* ATTRACTIVE

* LIGHTWEIGHT

* 3 BATTERY OPTIONS

* 7 BACKGROUND COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM

* ROUND ROBIN

* TYPE-C

* SCROLLS FAST

* BRIGHT AND VIVID DISPLAY

CONS

* 1/2 SECOND DELAY WHEN COLD FIRING

* WHEN USING ADJUSTMENT BUTTONS SCREEN IS BLOCKED

* LOCATION OF MADE IN CHINA MARKING

USING THE AREZ 120

First off I will say my pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the AREZ 120 and having a choice of 3 types of battery is a big plus but I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the 21700 battery for more vaping time between changes or charges.

Hand fit is great using either thumb or finger to fire the device, in my cons I mention the location of the adjustment buttons blocking the screen when used like you normally would, but pressing them from the sides of the device is no real issue for me I just wanted to mention it.

Now what is a issue for me is the delay in firing, 1/2 to 1 second of a delay when firing the mod cold. After the first vape when the coil has been heated up it fires instantly but only after the coil becomes heated up first.

I thought it was happening only with low builds but just to make sure I put a build of 1.6 on a MTL tank and the same thing happens firing at 16 watts.

I tried 3 different atomizers all of which had the same results, I let the coils cool down for 5 minutes and tried them on different mods and all fired instantly without needing a pre-heat tap of the fire button.

After that first vape with all 3 tanks everything worked fine as long as the coils remained warm, once cooled the 1 second delay happened again on all of them. After the first 3 days of testing I just resolved to tapping the fire button once before a vape if the device sat or wasn't used for a bit.

The device reads coils accurately and functions perfectly after your first vape or the fire button is tapped to warm the coil, that's all it takes just a small tap and your golden

So in closing, it might be annoying for some like myself to have to tap the fire button because so many devices have instant fire capabilities but I did get used to it quickly. A 1/2 to 1 second delay may not bother you.

I would like to thank Sue and Healthcabin for providing the Hellvape AREZ 120 for the purpose of this review, I also hope this review answered your questions about it.

THANK YOU

Mesh RTA that will wick 100%VG?

Hello, for about 5 years now I have been running a Digiflavor Mesh pro rebuild-able dripper, 10MM wide stainless steel mesh at 0.15 ohm, I run 100% VG unflavored, make it at home for cheap. love everything about it except for dripping, dripping is annoying especially when driving. I drip because last time I was at this choice wicking 100% vg from a tank was unreliable.

Has that changed? recommendations for a tank that will wick 100% vg? bonus if it will take the 10mm stainless I have rolls of, or if I can at least get stainless mesh for it?

The Quest however is rated for 200 watts and contains the Quest 2.0 chip like the Ursa Quest and the menu appears to have stayed the same although the output is higher than the Ursa due to it using dual 18650 batteries. The Thelema Quest kit also includes the UB Pro tank that I am very familiar with it and the coils it uses as well as an optional rba for it.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The Thelema Quest kit arrived in what is quickly becoming classic packaging to me since I’ve reviewed and purchased other Lost Vape kits. It has an outer shell with a picture of the device contained within that slides off. Underneath is the two part box with the lift off top that once removed exposes the mod, tank, and accessory pack which sit in a foam cut out. Also included in the kit are the user manuals for the mod and tank, USB-C charging cable, two coils, and a couple 18650 battery wraps.

The Thelema Quest uses two 18650 batteries and is rated for 200 watts. The sample I received is the clear version which I have mixed emotions about. I’ve never been a big fan of clear mods. I think I would rather have one of the carbon fiber series. However, from my understanding, the battery covers for the original Thelema DNA250C are interchangeable with the Thelema Quest. The battery polarity is clearly marked inside the unit and there is a ribbon inside for easier battery removal. As you can see below, the Lost Vape name is on the right side of the mod and on the right side is Thelema Quest with a small Lost Vape logo near the bottom.

upload_2021-9-11_10-18-11.png

upload_2021-9-11_10-18-30.png

On the face of the mod is the fire button at the top followed by the display screen, + button, select button, and – button on the bottom. Below the – button is the USB-C charging/ update port.

upload_2021-9-11_10-19-11.png

The interface of the Quest 2.0 chip on this unit appears to be the same as the Ursa. It reminds me quite a bit of a DNA interface. The display is clear and easily readable. The information on the main screen is as follows.

- Two battery level indicators with numerical percentages

- Mode of operation

- Set wattage

- Coil resistance and user record number

- Firing mode( Soft, Normal, Hard) and Puff counter

- Settings

Once Settings is selected using the center button the following options are available.

- Atomizer

- Screen

- Color

- User

- Reset

- About

- Back

With this type of menu there is no need to remember different button combinations besides five presses of the fire button to turn the mod on and off. There are five modes of operation and one of them is TC-SS904 which is good since the .3 ohm coil can be used with that mode. Simply use the + or – buttons to highlight the mode and press the select button. Then you can use the + and – buttons to scroll through the five modes which are

- VPC

- Bypass

- Wattage

- Voltage

- Temperature Control(SS904/SS316/Ti/Ni) mode

upload_2021-9-11_10-20-4.png

The top of the mod has the 510 connector held in by three screws and contains a spring loaded gold plated center pin.

upload_2021-9-11_10-20-44.png

The tank that is included with the kit is the UB Pro tank. The plastic upper section of the tank threads into the 510 base instead of using magnets to hold it like so many other pod tanks that I’ve tested. I very much like this design so you don’t have to worry about the tank spinning or getting knocked off accidentally. Tip for this tank is removable but I find the stock tip very comfortable to use. In case you’re not familiar with the UB Pro tank, it is a side fill tank with a nice large fill port and the rubber plug is very easy to pull away for filling and goes back in place easily. There is the word OPEN and an arrow on the fill port plug so you know which way to pull it.

11.jpg

upload_2021-9-11_10-21-51.png

upload_2021-9-11_10-22-6.png

The coils that are included in the kit are the UB Pro P1 .15 ohm coil rated at 70-90 watts and the UB Pro P3 .3 ohm coil rated at 60-70 watts or 260-290 degrees Celsius/ 500-550 degrees Fahrenheit. Both coils produce very good flavor and large amounts of vapor. The .3 ohm coil has been a favorite of mine since I first reviewed and then purchased multiple Ursa kits. Besides the included coils, there is an rba available that I have used and works very well. It is large enough that it is fairly easy to build. I like how the two included coils use different color o rings to make it easy to identify which coil you are using.

12.jpg

upload_2021-9-11_10-23-15.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I was excited to receive the Thelema Quest and was not disappointed. It works very well and with the dual 18650 batteries I experienced very good battery life. As normal I ran both coils with lower than recommended settings. Like I mentioned, I prefer the .3 ohm coil and ran it 45-48 watts and very much enjoyed the flavor and vapor production.

I don’t hate the clear model but would have much preferred one of the ones with the carbon fiber battery cover. It is very nice how clearly the battery polarity is marked and the ribbon inside makes battery removal a snap.

The Thelema Quest has a very user friendly interface and with five modes of operation, three user records, different color displays, three firing boost modes, a .96 TFT display and the very flavorful and well performing UB PRO tank it’s hard to go wrong with this one in my opinion.

I guess if there was one thing I could change then I’d like to see the tank made of glass or a combination of glass and stainless steel instead of being plastic. I do like that it’s so easy to fill without making a mess and that the pod section threads onto the base rather than using magnets to make it more secure.

So would I recommend the Lost Vape Thelema Quest kit for you? Well, if you like dual battery mods and like the form factor of the Thelema but can’t or don’t want to afford a DNA version then this is a really good option to try one without having to drop a lot of cash. Also the tank is 510 threaded so can be used on any mod and the coils are very good flavor producers with the option of purchasing the rba separately if you don’t want to stock up on coils. I would definitely recommend the Thelema Quest if the form factor is a good fit for you.

I’d like to thank Lost Vape and Chloe for sending the Thelema Quest kit for this review. Thanks go out to the readers as well. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read. Below is a link to the website for your viewing pleasure.

GEEKVAPE P SUB OHM TANK review by hittman

Well, it looks like Geekvape has been busy developing new products. This time I have received the Geekvape P Tank for review from Geekvape. You might be wondering why they call it the P Tank. Well, the P is short for Poseidon which was the inspiration for the design of this new tank. The P Tank in my opinion is a nice looking tank and kudos to Geekvape for designing a tank that isn’t just another plain looking tank.

Geek-Vape-P-Sub-Ohm-Tank-Z-Coil.jpg

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I was very pleased to get the P Tank in blue after getting past samples of tanks in rainbow which I very much don’t care for. The packaging on the P Tank was typical review sample packaging with the outer cover that slides off and then the top lifts off to expose the tank and spare glass with the accessory package underneath.

I hadn’t seen a picture of the tank prior to receiving it so was surprised to see that it had two separate glass tank sections with the airflow control in between them. I personally think it’s a really nice looking tank. Inside the accessory pack is a spare glass section for each of the tank sections. I don’t mind this but some people may not like it thinking it’s more accessories to keep on hand in case of breakage. However, the base of the tank is tapered and is 24mm at the bottom and increases to 26mm at the main body. The glass is somewhat protected since the metal parts of the tank are slightly wider than the glass sections.

upload_2021-9-11_7-43-23.png

The top cap has an o ring inside and the tip does not have any o rings on it. Like I mentioned in my last review, I really don’t care either way on this. The top cap has notches in it to get a better grip on it for removal.

upload_2021-9-11_7-44-17.png

Once the top is removed, you don’t have the usual slotted fill ports. The top of the tank is open and there is a red o ring around the center tube. I found it good practice to only fill the tank up to that o ring. At the top of the lower section is the usual fill slots but the top section is open and you can easily fill the tank and the liquid will run down into the bottom section until it is full.

The tank has what Geekvape is calling “center airflow” even though it seems to me like it’s still a top airflow tank. The air still has to travel down the side and go under the coil where the vapor is created and back up the length of the tank to escape through the drip tip.

upload_2021-9-11_7-45-7.png

upload_2021-9-11_7-45-27.png

The P Tank uses the same Z coils as we’ve seen in other Geekvape tanks and to be honest I didn’t notice that the flavor with these same coils was any different than when used in other tanks. I really like the flavor and vapor production of these coils.

When installing a coil, you have to align the tabs on the bottom of the coil with the notches in the base before installing the bottom cap.

upload_2021-9-11_7-46-4.png

The tank can be disassembled for cleaning. You must remove the top cap to slide the smaller glass tank section off over the top and then remove the base to slide the larger glass section down. The main body is one piece.

The airflow ring that sits between the two tank sections has three large slotted airflow holes and a positive stop. As you can see below, the airflow control ring can be removed for cleaning.

upload_2021-9-11_7-46-59.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have enjoyed testing the Geekvape P Tank. I already knew that I liked the Z coils so thought that I would. I like the design of the tank and think the blue is quite attractive. It’s not a perfect match but goes alright with my blue Legend 2.

upload_2021-9-11_7-47-41.png

I’ve been running both coils at lower watts than recommended without issue. The P Tank has a ton of airflow available and I have been running it with the three airflow slots barely open and still get a nice DTL. I’ve never been a huge airflow person so this has worked out alright for me but the airflow is available for those that like a super open draw.

After using the tank for a few days, I finally decided that the drip tip was too wide for me and put an 810 to 510 adapter with a 510 drip tip and this worked out much better for me. The tank did come with two drip tips but they appear to be the same. About the only negative I have on this tank is the drip tip and that’s a personal preference thing. The tank is kind of tall but it really hasn’t bothered me.

So, would I recommend the Geekvape P Tank to you? If you’re looking for a really different looking tank that uses the Z series drop in coils and like to have the ability to have plenty of airflow and shatter resistant glass that is somewhat protected by the larger metal pieces of the tank then yes I would. I know some don’t want tanks that use drop in coils but it’s nice that the Z coils can be used on multiple tanks.

I’d like to thank Geekvape and Allison for sending the Geekvape P Tank for this review. Also thank you to the readers. Below is a link to the website if you would like to see for yourself.

► Geekvape M100 Kit; First impressions:
A few days after starting the S100 Kit (Aegis Solo 2) review I received the M100 Kit model, so despite several similarities between the two products I decided to continue and schedule two separate reviews.

Geekvape M100 Kit is the latest model in the Geekvape Aegis series and is available in six different colors. This new kit uses the 2nd generation of the "Geekvape Tri-proof Tech" (IP68) specification which leads to a higher level of liquid impermeability, dust and shock resistance.

The Mod is equipped with a large capacity internal (fixed) battery, 2500mAh. Geekvape declares that M100 supports a stable output up to 100W, however I see no reason to try to reach such power with a Mod not equipped with at least a 21700 cell. In fact, I find right Geekvape's choice of having accompanied the Kit with an MTL / RDL tank like the new Z Nano 2 with anti-leak design (Top AFC). As on the "sister" S100 also on the M100 we find the A-Lock key for a quick locking of the device when you put it in your pocket. However and for personal habit I would prefer to have also had the classic lock of the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons, in fact this solution allowed with the power lock activated to be able to vape. The large 1.08 inch color screen is common to the S100 version and allows you to see the main vaping data clearly.

In the first photo below, you can see the remarkable aesthetic similarity between the Aegis Max ancestor and the S100.
M100 comes with a new pleasant look that I will highlight later. For this test I received the black version of this handy and compact kit, the good tactile feeling that M100 gives I consider it a further step forward. Will this be the style of GeekVape's upcoming Tri-Proof Mods?

Geekvape M100 tri-proof Kit 7.jpg

Geekvape M100 tri-proof Kit 8.jpg

► Geekvape M100 Mod; Front / back view:
The front is practically the same as the S100 with the 1.08-inch vertical color display that adopts enlarged fonts and is bright enough, allowing you to easily view the main and most important data. However I think an improvement could be the introduction of the battery level indicated in numerical percentage instead of the line of green LEDs.
The adjustment buttons are updated with greater sizing and with the introduction of a rocker for the "+" and "-" keys.

The handle no longer has the classic "belly" but has been redesigned with a straight profile, but on the leather insert there are still the two parallel seams arranged vertically with the 3 nylon strings at the top, this time in black. With the introduction of the "flat" profile handle, in my opinion, nothing has been lost in terms of ergonomics, indeed a few mm in width have been saved.

Geekvape M100 tri-proof Kit 9.jpg

► Geekvape M100 Mod; Side view:
This part has been completely redesigned, the Geekvape technicians have introduced a new type of protective frame giving up the classic one that distinguished all Aegis. The new frame is much thinner than the previous one and is made of heavy and sturdy steel for high structural strength. The A-Lock slider key is placed in a protected position inside an upright of this cover.
At the center of the side profile we now find a metal plate (one on each side). On both sides and on both metal plates there is the inscription "Geekvape" engraved with the laser and in white color. I liked the new look right away and I don't rule out that Geekvape will adopt it in the future for its "Tri-Proof" Mods.

The FDA a {RICO} Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization and vaping

Is the FDA a {RICO} Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization ? - The vaping problem explained as I see it.

Is the FDA a {RICO} Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization ? Is it in fact not working for the people of the United States and in fact working only for special interests that could not care less about the health of the American people? Is the current vendetta against the proven less harmful vaping alternative for tobacco use based on a corrupt receipt of money from corrupt organizations such as Bloomberg Philanthropies whose war on anything tobacco or nicotine related is not based upon science but rather a corrupt group whose only desire is to assert their will, even if their will is dangerous to public health?

Has the FDA {Food and Drug Administration, aka the Food and Death Administration} consistently denied the science and evidence of a safer tobacco product to satisfy special interests that promote the return of ex-smokers to smoking or to use alternative anti-smoking drugs promoted by the Pharmaceutical industry - And how much are these multi-trillion dollar a year industries paying the FDA to rule their way?

Does the current attempt to ban all flavored vape products really have anything to do with young users - - or is it in fact based upon a corrupt bias that is bought and paid for by corrupt organizations such as Bloomberg Philanthropies and corrupt politicians that are also bought and paid for by corrupt organizations such as Bloomberg Philanthropies ???

Also consider, that the FDA is and has been a corrupt division of government for a long time - Working for special financial interests such as big pharma - In '90s they were going to make all vitamins and dietary supplements subject to prescription use only - Apparently the supplement industry was bigger and stronger and had more people than the vaping industry because our nationwide petition drive worked and we got congress to pass legislation to block the FDA's corrupt attempt to regulate vitamins and supplements. The FDA bullies lost that one - Too bad the smaller vape industry can't come up with the super lawyers it needs to fight and win !

Again I ask: Should the FDA be charged under The RICO statues and disbanded as a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization ???

Newbie hello and looking for advice !

Hi everyone!
I’m a new member called Louie :)

just looking for a little bit of advice ! I’ve just started vaping over Covid - I used to socially smoke and have vaped on nights out before etc but only just started using it regularly - primarily out of boredom and it helps my anxiety.

Just a few questions! If I’m drinking I can get though quite a bit of liquid and I was just wondering what was a safe limit to have?

I currently have a Voopoo Drag S, with a 4.5ml tank and I smoke between 25-35 watts. I make up my own shortfills with one nic shot which I believe is 3mg of nicotine?

If I’m drinking i’ll probably top up the tank about 3-4 times ( I obviously don’t vape till it’s empty) so maybe let’s say max 16ml? Is that a dangerous amount to be having ?
I sometimes have a bit of chest pangs which I’m not sure if it’s because of the nicotine ? It may just be anxiety palpitations

this is my other problem! Although it helps my overall anxiety it does trigger my health anxiety a little so just some advice on safe amounts that can’t hurt me would be really useful and appreciated !
Also occasionally my vape spits out some hot liquid whilst I’m vaping - is this dangerous as it’s going into my mouth? It’s never a lot, I think the coil gets oversaturated sometimes?

thank you for reading and any advice ! Thank you :)

Vaporesso podstick pods leaking

When I first bought my podstick I had zero issues with anything leaking (I used the ccell pod), but when it came time to use a new pod, every ccell pod in both of the 2 packs I ordered online have leaked out of the bottom of the pod (where the two circular magnets are located). Is this due to the juice I am using? I am using the 3mg/ml Pop clouds brand juice (70vg/30pg) in the cherry bomb flavor (I also have the blue razz flavor, but it leaks just the same in these pods).

I can confirm that it isn't just the condensation that a lot of users have reported after podstick usage; I've had the pods set down on a dresser when not in use, and over time the entire contents of the pod will end up leaking out onto the dresser.

Nicotine test?

Hello, I will be starting a new job at a hospital soon(hopefully) and I have to take a required nicotine test. I’ve been drinking a lot of water and cutting back on nicotine. I was reading here that many people vape nicotine but don’t always inhale. If I did that would nicotine show up on my nicotine test?
Thanks
JB.
