Greetings everyone.

I am not sure if this has been discussed before, but I wanted your input on alternatives to a particular flavor: pink parfait. A while back I was interested in the original unicorns blood and was redirected to try pink parfait and immediately loved it. Since fresh pressed is no longer in operation, what alternative brands can even come close to the smooth flavor of Fresh Presseds Pink Parfait?

Something I noticed the other day when I was looking at old studies on nicotine and vaping.. I found a study about how nic is absorbed from vaping vs smoking. When I started - what got me off cigs on my crappy 510 cigalike with 3.0 ohm coils was 36 mg, which was quite common in 2011 maybe not as common as 24 or I think the lowest I saw people going was 18mg.. I could not buy a cigalike (NJOY) or others at 36mg I could only get it online which is where I shopped from day 1 because it was cheaper..

Well, back to the study from Febuary 2014 - Nicotine absorption from electronic cigarette use: comparison between first and new-generation devices | Scientific Reports a paragraph that stuck out to me like a sore thumb was this.. "The use of 18 mg/ml nicotine-concentration liquid probably compromises ECs' effectiveness as smoking substitutes; this study supports the need for higher levels of nicotine-containing liquids (approximately 50 mg/ml) in order to deliver nicotine more effectively and approach the nicotine-delivery profile of tobacco cigarettes."

I've never used a JUUL or Nic Salts. The reason is basically most of the long term vapors that I knew in the community were all vaping high power devices at 6mg or lower and thought that the JUUL at 50mg was way too high and overall they didn't seem to like the device... However, vaping had been around for almost 10 years before JUUL came out and made 50ml and a great closed system that actually turned some smokers I know (and millions of other smokers) actually quit smoking. All of them told me that the JUUL was the best thing they tried it actually got rid of all their cravings while mods and other things couldn't (for whatever reasons, too complicated, could satisfy their cravings at 6mg and didn't like all the vaper and tech difficulty)..

I think people that have been into these things for a long time can agree that JUUL was THE device responsible for more smokers quitting than any other brand. I KNOW they are big tobacco and we hate big tobacco but I think that products like JUUL and high nic salts are a VERY effective way of getting smokers to quit that are just beginning their transistion and may just stay with them.

I see them get a lot of flack but I've seen first hand me trying to convert smokers and there was always something about it they didn't like or reason why it didn't satisfy them or just to complicated to use and too cumbersome...

I posted this just because vaping and it's future has been on my mind a lot today.. I still will probably never personally use salts or JUULs but I'm glad they are here and getting it done when the other products just couldn't for whatever reason.

If you agree, great - if not I'd love to know a counter argument (peacefully).

2.5mm, 28ga, Ni80, 7 wraps, ~ 1ohm.

What is going to be the difference?
(except: less vapor, shorter ramp up time, power save)
Will it taste better?
Does this experiment make any sense to try?

I am trying to repair minor hairline cracks on some atomizers. I can't replace them or change the plexiglass tank.

Many days I am looking for food-grade epoxy/sealant. The best I could find was these after reading SDS and tech documents on Loctite products for Food and Beverage Industry:

I have 2 VooPoo drag X's still in the box - the 3rd one is falling apart like the first one I had.. I seem to only get a 9-10 months out of these things before they seem to fall apart.. I need something NOW while I can still reasonably get it and buy enough coils for a decade.. Any ideas?

Hi All - I am new to the forum. I live in NY and used to buy my e-liquid and supplies online, but since the ban, no one will ship to NY address. I went to 6 different "vape" shops, al who claimed they sold e-liquid, but none of them had PG/VG juice. In fact the last two stores, only sold hardware. No e-liquid at all. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions where i can find in Long Island, NY? Many thanks!

MVO initially filed a petition for review in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals at the end of September, as dozens of other vapor companies have done. Most have argued, in part, that the FDA’s denials were “arbitrary and capricious,” and that, in rushing to meet a court-imposed deadline, the agency overlooked vital information. Many manufacturers, too, have repeatedly complained of the FDA shifting its goal posts—and offering guidance on certain studies only after PMTAs had been filed.

As a result, MVO, like many other smaller companies, sits on the brink of financial collapse. “This financial harm is unrecoverable, as FDA, as a federal government agency, enjoys sovereign immunity,” MVO’s lawyers write.

Now, MVO’s attorneys are demanding that the appeals court grant a judicial stay for the company’s denied products by the end of October. In court documents reviewed by Filter, they paint the PMTA process as even more chaotic and unfair than critics have long maintained....."

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS


The first thing that surprised me was how weighty the package was because this device is supposed to be so tiny, this is a standard box without a top in a sleeve that when pulled out reveals the contents box. In the box is the user manual, lanyard chain, 2nd pod cartridge and charge cord sitting on top of the Drag Nano.

Like I said above the weight really surprised me because I thought like so many other devices of this size it would be cheaply made but the Drag Nano actually feels solid. Pre-installed in the device is the 0.8Ω pod cartridge, these pod cartridges click into place when pushed down, it feels like a tight connection when connected.

The devices finish on the blue one that was sent to me is smooth to the touch but looks like there is texture with a 3-D type of look in some lighting. Chrome surrounds the device and that makes for a good look but also makes it a fingerprint magnet.




On the the Drag Nano 2 the pod cartridge that's pre-installed is the 0.8Ω mesh that has a piece of plastic covering the contact points with first use instructions printed on it and must be removed before it can be used, there are no magnets holding the pod in place instead tiny tabs above the Voopoo name on the pods are used to click in place, you can hear the click when installing the pod.




Both Gold colored contact pins inside the device are spring loaded and between them are the 2 auto-draw nozzles that are black in color. No where in the user manual or on Voopoo's website mentions that the Drag Nano 2 is a auto-draw only device but on the one that was sent to me this is the case.

On my Drag Nano 2 the power/fire button does not fire the coil but only is used to change power levels and powers the device on/off as well to check battery strength so it's a auto-draw only device.




This is a better picture showing the lanyard connection point as well as the great auto-draw nozzles that perform great.




Auto-draw works extremely well on any airflow selection that I have tried, the pod cartridge uses 3 airflow holes to channel the airflow to the coil inside, the draw is smooth as well.





I'm so happy to report that the top fill on the pods work very well without leaving a mess when filling. To access the fill port simply tilt the mouthpiece backward to unsnap it from the cartridge then lift off, you will hear a click when putting the mouthpiece cover back on.





Voopoo uses a thin fill port membrane cover to plug the fill port, slide your finger upward over the end with the arrow to lift the plug, the fill port in pretty large but I don't think it would work for glass dripper tips. Juice viewing is no problem having a clear pod.





On the bottom of the device is the type-c charge port, I really with if was on the bare side of the device since there's plenty of room for it being empty, it was probably not possible because of the configuration of the internals. Gene chip is printed along side of it.





The Drag Nano 2 offers 3 power levels that are color coded on the 3 bright led lights, also the LED lights drop 1 by 1 as the battery is depleted.

The front face of the device is where all the controls and lights are, as I mentioned earlier the chrome in a very sharp look but quickly gets covered with fingerprints.

At the top is the airflow control that has a very tight resistance to it ( perfect ) that will not come off the setting you select when carried in a pocket.

Airflow can be adjusted from a loose to somewhat tight draw, I will say this in more of a MTL device but fully open a tight RDL vape can be had.

Below the airflow control are the power and battery strength LED indicator lights and below them is the the power button.

The way to switch power levels is by pressing the power button quickly 3 times then every press after will change the power levels, the LED lights will change colors and can be seen indoors but are very dim, but outside in direct sunlight they cannot been seen because there so dim.





I no longer own the original Drag Nano having given it to a driver that delivers supplies at my job but if memory serves me right the original Drag Nano was thinner. One thing to note is that while charging the device can't be vaped and the power levels can't be changed either, basically you can't do anything with it while it's charging.

USING THE DRAG NANO 2


I have been using the Drag Nano 2 for about 10 days and in that timeframe have not had any leaking or seeping of juice from either pod. Normally I gravitate toward a lower ohm resistance but I actually prefer the 1.2Ω pod even though it's a cooler vape than I prefer. I used this as a MTL only and am very happy with the results.

Flavor is very good and improves after a break in of about 1 pod of juice, I used 2 flavors in testing that I 100% know their profile and that Drag Nano 2 brought the flavors out vey well.

Being a auto-draw only device it better work well or your in trouble, the auto-draw works great on the Drag Nano 2 and is smooth as well. I really like the airflow because it's fully adjustable from a tight RDL to a tight MTL.

The airflow selector will not move once set unless you move it, perfect for a pocket or handbag.

This is a tiny device and having a lanyard connection is a nice touch that some people will find convenient to use and you get the metal chain with the device.

The Blue color that was sent to me looks alright but scuffs easily and picks up oils from your hands dulling it's look after a while, a fast buff with a cloth brings it back to looking good.





Overall I like the Drag Nano 2 and think that Voopoo did a nice job with it, hopefully I keep this one without finding someone looking to quit smoking and give it to them as I did with the original Drag Nano.

No more shiny objects of desire for me. Following my doctor's suggestion I stopped nicotine and vaping three weeks before having an operation in August that would leave me with three inches of surgical staples. I healed up quickly and without complications and did not return to vaping or nicotine. Quitting was surprisingly easy for me probably due to the low nic level I had been using for years. The worst was over after two days of mild craving. I was still using that same modified Sigelei ZMAX V5 that I have been using for eight years. Anyway, I don't need to clean windows often anymore.

► Lost Vape Ursa Nano; Decorated panels:
I received two copies of Ursa Nano from Lost Vape for this test; one in Wave Purple and the other in Wave Cyan. Both with wave decorations with captivating holographic reflections, personally I also find the Ocean and Twill versions graphically interesting.
At the center of these intriguing decorations we find the identification inscriptions laser engraved; on one side "Lost Vape" and on the other side "Ursa Nano".

* Under the word "Lost Vape" (indicated by an arrow in the image below) there is a stealth type LED, visible only during device activation. Depending on the color of the light emitted, this LED allows us to know the current battery charge level and any protection indications.



► Lost Vape Ursa Nano; Charging Led Indications:
During the charging phase the led indicator shows the battery levels as follows:
• Green; residual charge over 3.9V
• Blue; residual charge less than 3.9V
• Red; residual charge less than 3.7V
* With the battery fully charged, the LED indicator remains steady green.
* The device supports pass-trought, you can vape while charging.
