RTA for newbie

Hi guys

I would like to buy an RTA, but I'm new to vaping. I wrote to the newbie section here in the forum, and I got some advice.

I tried Vaporesso Xros - Nicotine 3mg 50VG 50 PG, and it was not strong enough for me. I would like to get a stronger throat hit.

I would like to buy a mod where I can use some tanks with changeable prebuild coils first, and where I can use some RTA tanks after. I prefer a mod where I can set low wattage (from 5-10W). I prefer MTL and don't need big clouds..

I got a tip:
If you want to buy a device that you can use an RTA later without buying extra parts, then Buy an Innokin Kroma-R mod instead then buy an Innokin Zlide tank to go with it (you can find these in a kit together as well. That Zlide tank takes the same coils as the Kroma-Z mod system.

Are there more options?

Thank you a lot for your advice :thumb:

Pod Compatibility

Hello, I’m Jessi and I am new to vaping!! As the title suggests I have an embarrassing question... I am buying a juul and pods for a friend and since I am new to this I have no idea which pods are compatible with the ones I bought.

vaze-pods-mint-absolute-zero-20mg-en.jpg

Are these compatible with
juul-starter-kit-mit-pods-en.jpg

this type of juul? I am on a budget so I cannot buy it and try it out only for it to not work. .. I hope this wasn't too dumb of a question I am trying to get the hang of different juuls and pods. Thank you so much!

Making the switch to RBA need help!

Hey guys I am sure this topic has been kicked to death, but my situation is a bit more dificult. So besides not knowing what is best to make the switch from comercial coils to rebuildables, RDA, RTA or RDTA is the limited options in my country. So in short these are my options.

Wasp Nano RTA, Wasp Nano S RDA, Voopoo Pericles RDA, Requiem RDA, Zeus X(I think it's RTA), Bonza RDA, wismec Inde Duo RDA, Moonshot RTA.
That's about it.

The mods I own are a Smoke Mag grip 100W and a Vaporesso Tarot Baby 85W.
So what ever I buy must be able to work on those two mods.

Thank you community for your much appreciated help.

Any reputable canadian 18650 battery vendors?

Hi everyone,
Hope your all having a great weekend! Hopefully someone can help me figure out any good canadian or American reputable vendors for 18650 batteries for my arrow sense mod. Out of all the vendors listed in the battery thread, only one had the batteries I wanted, but it was in the US and would cost over $50 for shipping. Hoping to find shipping for $20-30 canadian instead. I am particularly interested in the batteries on the forums listed as tested by mooch in a stickier post. Or Sony battery with 2500 mah , I like to vape with two 18650 batteries at 60-80 watts.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I know there were prior versions of both of the Vinci pod mods that I was sent for review but before now had never tried any of the Vinci devices. I have however reviewed and bought other Voopoo devices and liked them very much besides the occasional coil seeping liquid.

When I first opened the Vinci 2 and Vinci X 2 I thought both had a very nice appearance. I received the carbon fiber version of both. Both units have the Vinci name at the top of the display with the battery level indicator. Below that is the set wattage and the mode indicator. There are two modes Smart and RBA. I prefer the RBA mode but the Smart mode can be good for new users to prevent damaging new coils. Below that is the puff counter, coil resistance, voltage of current puff, and time of current puff and finally an arc indicator on the bottom that highlights more dots the longer the you fire the mod so is essentially a visual puff time indicator. There are two types of display to choose from which are Iron and Core. Iron is a vertical display while core is a horizontal display. All of this will seem very familiar to you if you have used other Voopoo devices like the Drag X, Drag X plus, etc. as it uses the Gene chip in both of the new Vinci pod mods.

Vinci 2 menu operation:

- Press the fire button five times to turn the device on and off

- Press the fire button three times to switch between the following ignition modes: (P) Press fire button only/ (Auto) Automatic draw only/ (A&P) Double ignition mode, press fire button or auto fire

- Press fire button and + button to lock the entire device

- Press fire button and – button to clear puff counter

- Press + and – button to choose between Smart and RBA modes as well as Iron and Core themes. Once selected, long press to return to return to main screen.

Vinci X 2 menu operation:

- Press fire button five times to turn device on and off

- Press the fire button and + button to lock the entire device

- Press the fire button and – button to clear puff counter

- Press the + and – button to choose between Smart and RBA modes as well as Iron and Core themes. Once selected, long press to return to the main screen.

- The Vinci X 2 does not offer Auto draw operation.

Facing the display side of the mod with the fire and + and – buttons, on the right side is the sliding airflow control lever that protrudes a bit and is very stiff to move on the units I received. I think it’s a good thing though since it isn’t moved accidentally. Near the bottom vertically is the Vinci name in raised letters. On the left side is the other side of the airflow opening. On the Vinci 2 the USB-C charging port is right beside that. On the Vinci 2 X the charging port is near the bottom of the mod. On the rear side of both units I received there is black carbon fiber with the Voopoo name running vertically and the Gene name horizontal on the bottom. On the very bottom of each mode is the CE rating and “Designed by Voopoo” and “Made in China” with no visible venting holes.

Vinci X 2

IMG-5056.jpg

IMG-5057.jpg

IMG-5059.jpg

IMG-5060.jpg

The pod for the Vinci 2 and Vinci X 2 are the same and interchangeable which I find very useful. The pods have a duck bill type mouthpiece which I have found very comfortable. The pods are clear which I simply love since it allows me to easily see the liquid level. I wish more manufacturers would follow suit and make their pods clear. Some I’ve tried, I’ve had to actually hold a flashlight up to them to see how much liquid is in them. There are four magnets on the bottom of the pods that hold them securely in place and I had no issue with them coming out accidentally.

The 6.5ml pods use the PNP series of coils that are used in many other devices made by Voopoo. The Vinci 2 included the .3 coil which is rated for 32-40 watts and also the .8 coil which is rated for 12-18 watts. I found both coils to have good flavor and vapor production. The .8 coil had considerably less airflow available and the auto draw function seemed to only work well with the airflow control about 80% closed. Since the Vinci 2 is only 50 watts maximum it is not compatible with all PNP coils.

The Vinci X 2 included the .3 coil rated for 32-40 watts but also included the .15 coil which is rated for 60-80 watts. The Vinci X 2 is compatible with all PNP coils. I ran the .15 coil for about 125 puffs before removing the pod to check it and found that the coil was seeping liquid from the center of the coil. After closer observation, I saw that the center pin of the coil was off centered and most likely why it was leaking. I’ll chalk that up to just getting a bad coil since I then installed the .3 coil and had no leaking with it. The pods are side fill with a rubber plug that sticks up just a little on one end that makes it easy to get a hold on to open it for filling. The fill hole is plenty big in my opinion and was easily able to fill with a 50ml bottle with no mess.

VOOPOO-VINCI-X-2-Kit-6-5ml.jpg

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really ended up liking the Voopoo Vinci 2 and Vinci X 2. I thought both were very comfortable to hold and use. Having used other devices from Voopoo, the display and operation were very familiar. I like that Voopoo decided to go ahead and stay with the PNP coils for these units. It makes it easier in my opinion for users to add new devices to their arsenals without having to start over deciding and stocking up on new coils.

I was able to get about 200 puffs on the Vinci 2 with the 1500mah battery while running the .3 coil at 33 watts. I felt like that was fairly decent battery life. The Vinci X 2 uses an external 18650 battery so depending on which coil and battery used the results will vary. One thing I had almost forgotten about with the Gene chip is that it takes one click of the fire button to activate the device before you can fire and take a puff which I assume is a safety feature so the devices don’t get fired by accident. It kind of reminds me of how you can set the number of button presses needed before a dna color device is ready to fire.

So would I recommend the Voopoo Vinci 2 and Vinci X 2? I tend to lean towards units with replaceable batteries but I really enjoyed using both of these devices. So, yes I would recommend them and whether you prefer built in or external battery devices, there’s a Vinci for you. The Vinci 2 is maximum 50 watts with the built in battery while the Vinci X 2 is maximum 80 watts.

Thanks goes out to Chloe and Voopoo for sending the new Voopoo Vinci 2 and Vinci X 2. Also, as always, thank you to the readers for spending time listening to my thoughts. Below are links to the two Vinci pod mods if you’d like to look for yourself.

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh 1.jpg

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh
Along with the AIO Sensis Find-F Kit packed with innovative features (which I recently reviewed), Innokin sent me a new device.
This time it is a "starter kit" of the classic Endura series, specially developed for MTL, therefore aimed at that range of users who intend to start the vaping experience on the right foot.
In my view this kit despite not having a revolutionary chipset like that of Sensis Find-F is quite effective in several respects.
Enjoy the reading

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh 2.jpg

Packaging:
Also this package turns out to be 100% recycled, good Innokin keeps it up.
On the front side we find; the stylized design of the Kit, a label that recalls the name of the new atomizer and the introduction of a new 1.7Ω coil.

On the back are listed the same warnings present on the front, the packing list, the scratch & check, the Qr-Code and the address of Shenzhen Innokin Technology Co., Ltd.

On the sides of the box there is still a very long "to read" series of warnings and an image of the kit with the current batch number.

Color range:
Ruby Red, Royal Blue, Steel Gray, Blushed Silver, Rose Gold, Matte Black.
All color versions of Endura T22 Pro respect the "minimal" spirit of this kit without weighing down the line. I received the Matte Black colorway which is probably also the most elegant of the lot.

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh 7.jpg

First impressions:

The small Prism T18E Pro tank is available in 3 colors; black, ss, gunmetal. The tank retains the characteristic armor of the previous series but with a new design. Technical improvements have been introduced starting from the new 1.7Ω Ka resistance up to a new type of refill.
The tank, taking its cue from the Innokin Zlide Tank, has therefore been updated with a renewed sliding system and can receive up to 2ml of e-liquid through a non-leakage rubber membrane.

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh 8.jpg

Innokin Endura T22 Pro MTL Kit 3.000mAh 9.jpg

Endura T22 Pro is powered by a large 3000mAh built-in battery, yet the Mod appears incredibly small ... The Endura family starts from afar, initially it was made up of tube-shaped devices that used batteries around 1,500mAh and then moved on to the first 2,000mAh version of T22 which had a "box" look like this.
So the performance improvement even compared to the original T22 kit is remarkable! For an Mtl starter kit with these characteristics, we can safely speak of a large reserve of energy for a long autonomy before recharging. This version uses USB-C 5V / 2A charging, which means that even if the battery is bigger, the device will charge fast.

Disposables

Hi there,

I am looking for some help finding a replacement disposable to try.

I stopped smoking 5 years ago when a friend suggested trying the White Cloud Fling disposables. They were such a great replacement, I did not really have a need to look at others. Until now.

The Mail Ban has caused White Cloud to stop shipping so I went on the hunt for something else. However, no matter what I try from local vape shops, they always hit my gag reflex and leave me felling like I just tried to puff from a Harley tailpipe. I have tried Hyde, PuffBar, AirBar, Dinner Lady, and a bunch of others that look exactly the same as those that I cannot remember their names.

What can I look at that will let me know what a good replacement would be? I know the amount of nic has something to do with the hit but the hit is not really the problem. It's just...everything. Is it DTL / MTL, is it the VG / PG thing? Salt or Freebase? I have googled till I can't see any more and I see a lot of talk about these things but I don't see them listed anywhere on the disposables and the vape shop workers just send me home with a bag full of the same stuff. Is there a way to compare without dumping a bag of money down the toilet to try everything?

I am willing to accept if the new stuff is just to "powerful" for me or if the market has just moved on from what I am comfortable with, I just thought I would ask here to see if there is some way I can find something else before just going back to the old cigs.

For reference, I was a pack a day (more or less) 100's smoker for 15 years. For the last five years, I have been using one 3.0Ml, 3.6% disposable (Fling Wide) a day.

Thanks!

Trying to decide between Aegis kits and tanks - Need advice

Greetings folks!
Gods, I've been away from the vaping stuff for a while. I haven't done much of anything since my friend who I used to hang and vape with passed away (terminal illness' are just argh.), so I've not kept track of trends, and more importantly, of advances. Heck, when I stopped, I feel like temp control materials and sub-ohm had just started to hit the mainstream.
So, I've decided I want to come back to it, now that I have a few friends working on quitting again, but I've got an issue. My eleaf pico 2 dual has just never been reliable, it seems to always end up with burned cotton on my coils, be it if I do the coil making, or if I use premade stuff for Smok tanks and other brands. And since I run preferably in the 35-50 watt range, I'm not likely running things overkill. So, I've decided.. time for new gear.
Now, I've got a thing for making sure my gear is built like a tank, and I've been reading around in the forums, and I found that the Aegis series and the Jackaroo both fit that bill.. but the Jackaroo seems to be discontinued and out of stock bloody everywhere, except a few places where the mods are massively overpriced.. so that brings me over to looking at the Aegis more.

As it stands, the tossup is between an Aegis Solo 100, Aegis Max, Aegis X, and Aegis Legend, with either the Zeus/Z, Cerberus or the Aero tank.. And it's a hard choice since depending on where I pick it up online, with which tank, and which sale, the prices are pretty close together.
I'm hoping someone can give some opinions on this. Also, some opinions on the three tanks would be nice. Notably, my style of vaping isn't going to match most folks.. It's mouth.. aaand that's it. Never been a smoker, and I vape without nicotine.. but it's helped get a number of friends over the years to quit cig's and go to vapes, and then slowly down to nearly no or flat out no nicotine. So. My goal is definitely going to be flavor at the mouth end of things, and not sure which of the two tanks there to chase, -or- if I'd be advised to just get the mod, and pick up a separate tank. Suggestions are very welcome on this. The problem is, my total spending is going to be around $50 or less, so.. I lean towards kits, understandably!

In anycase, thanks for the time folks, and rock on for continuing to be the most informative place to look into all things vape. :)

What wire on spool to order for DIY coils

Hi forum,
I need advice on what wire to buy to make coils for the Geekvape Zeus X RTA.
I need prebuild wire on a spool and will be building the coils from this as I do not have the skills to build wire myself.
A cooler vape would be to prefer but could be on the warm side too if that is needed to get nice flavour.
I prefer Kanthal and Stainless steel only.

Mods wear out?

I’ve been vaping the same 2 mods for over a year and 1/2. They are Geekvape Aegis 100watt with Cerberus tanks. I use a couple of tank fulls per day. Lately I’ve been getting short battery charge life regardless of new coil or not, old batteries or new. I recently changed from .3 to .2 ohm coils, does that make a difference? Do these things wear out? I thought the only thing that ever needed replacing was the coil. I have 6 of the same unit in stock. Is it time to replace and pitch?

Greetings and a question?

Hello my fellow Vapers! It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance. Though I don't currently vape that often I joined due the most informative information I've ever read within the blog regarding rechargeable batteries. I do have a question regarding another product in which we use rechargeable 18650 batteries and hope it not be considered inappropriate in this forum. Maybe even possible that a new forum subject be added regarding questions on various products that also use rechargeable batteries as it is unusual to come across an individual that can make the subject so easily understandable but has the knowledge of the blog author Badatitude. The product I am referring to is 1000 or more lumen tactical flash lights and the best batteries for there usage as the subject is so very hard to read up on as clearly as explained batteries on vaping. If someone reads this and knows where I should post my question please reach out to me. Thank you kindly, T.Roe

Looking for nic salt unit to replace Vaporesso Renova Zero

Hi y'all, noob here. (reposting here as suggested by @BrotherBob)

I 'MTL' only nic salts, and have been using Vaporesso Renova Zero for a while. I love the size and features, but frankly the pods SUCK. I mix my own flavorless juice, and the pods usually 'burn' after a day or two (or less). And they're not cheap (like $2.50 each). I've tried both the 'ceramic' and the 'mesh' coils.

So I'm looking for something with better, cheaper, easier-to-replace coils ... but prefer something small.

Looking at Aegis Boost, Voopoo Vinci, Innokin Sceptre ... any advice or other suggestions?

I really prefer (not sure what it's called) when you draw to fire, I do not like having to push a button.

Thanks for any advice/suggestions!

Question about acetyl Pyrazine

I love this stuff. I have many of the little bottles from TPA, and have been trying to get something close to what they used to make in the local vape shop by my house.
I've rifled through older threads about this, but they're not very clear about origin, dilution, etc.
Does anyone here know what percentage would give me the maximum AP flavor? On a chart, one said .28. However, it's not close enough for what I'm looking for.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
