Just wanted to make sure that everyone that feels like sharing their knowledge is welcome. I think it will have a more valid/ serious thread if its not just one person ( especially me) is sharing their knowledge. I dont want to have people think, here we go again , another person showing off their toys and why they are the best.

I also think that looking at this topic as what it is, topic on mechs, semis and hybrids , not a specific brand is good, clone devices are welcome. I dont want someone to feel they cant learn or share important safety information just because they have a clone. Safety is for all :)

Of course, I figure starting at the bottom and heading up would be a way, since the bottom of hybrid tube mechs and mechs are similar. I dont have a mech box, but I guess I can take of picture of my reg box bottom, since its just wood. :)

If you all rather start at the top, its no problem, actually It seems a more direct...... YES, lets start at the top. Lets get some good photos of Mech, semi-mechs and mech box top caps. If anyone has a side by side, share it please.

Ok, lets do this, seems like we have few people here that seem to have experience on these so lets just keep this going.

Lets start at the top with photos of what we think are good top caps. Since Hybrids, semi-hybrids have significant differences and a few very important safety features needed, lets get some good photos. They dont have to be your own photos, what ever portrays the feature best.

Truehybrid example
nemesis + 3d rda

Now for those who dont know, is this a unit that was made for each other or an atomizer that has the right threading to be able to be used in hybrid form?

Its actually a threaded hybrid atomizer made to go together with the Nemesis mod, designed by the manufacturer of the nemesis.

That would be a true hybrid device. The modder designed the atty with that in mind so very little chance of problems. Thanks so much, we need more Hybrids and explanations and definitions.

It's the atmomixani nemesis and the atmomixani 3d rda;
nemesis is m20x0.5 threaded and so is the 3d.

m20x0.5 threaded means 20mm diameter tube with threads that at 0.5mm apart.

Most of the mods I have seen are m20x1 and m21x1.

I have several m21x1 mods: chiyou, king, astro; and my sigelei zmax and vamo's are m21x1.

Another truehybrid setup is the elm rda and tree of life mod.
I believe that the theading on those is m20x1.

I think my gp paps is m20x1, but I hardly use it because it didn't come with a kick tube.

The description 'hybrid' for this sort of setup, is actually unhelpful.
The accurate description would be the threading,
so for the 3d rda, it is an m20x0.5 thead(male) (plus it comes with a 510 adapter to use on other mods)
for the elm rda, it is (I believe) an m20x1 thead rda.

For the vapelyfe setup, I dunno what thead it is.
If the threading were advertised on the rda, more people would by them.

Another item that needs to be made are thread adapters

Vapelyfe hybrid mod is M20x1.
I use the atty on my launcher and GPs too.

I thought these might be relevant. I dont know if they are for adapting 510 atomizers to Hybrid tubes or the opposite.
They can be used to replace the 510 top cap for a fake hybrid look, slightly reduce the overall height of the mod, & allow a direct atty / battery connection.

They are extremely relevant to this discussion with pro & cons that will be important to understanding of the mech.
