This one will go to the graveyard due to the missed wrap on the upper left of the photo. But, not too bad for a first attempt. I'll have a set of these picture perfect in a couple days I'd guess.![]()

2nd wrap in from the left near the top. It's not missed just doubled up and infuriating. Can't even see it without the macro, but I'm a weirdo.Where is the missed wrap?
I reread my post and I made it sound like I owned one which I don't,my bad. But, in doing research there are a ton of different manufacturers that make GoPro adapters for Nikon to Leica lenses. There's also a ton of people making DIY GoPro macro lenses that work as good as if not better than a premade one.Which adapter do you have & what kind of lenses does it take? The standard fish eye lens gets old after about 10 minutes. I have the hero 3+ black, I would have gotten a hero 4 black if it had an adjustable lens. The reason I like the rib cage is because you can take out the IR cut filter inside the stock lens, which helps in low lighting situations. And it's basically a different camera when you put the new faceplate on
Yeah, I look at builds on IG for ideas, I don't wanna straight rip off something somebody else built. I like to find something and make a way to make it mine, by changing some aspect of a build.
That's what people want though, they want already invented coils. They want something cool and trendy, not something they've never seen before.I have to agree with this and it ultimately makes me think that I'm only building already invented coil builds for other people. I need to step back and rethink this.
Super, what a beauty coil. Well done! What is the exact name of the coil and are there any build videos? I would love to try one...2nd wrap in from the left near the top. It's not missed just doubled up and infuriating. Can't even see it without the macro, but I'm a weirdo.
I made 2 perfect ones tho. Barely fits in my Twisted Messes, like not even 2mm top cap clearance.
I took a ton of pics... Tried some new stuff, used some paper towels / flashlights for lightning and actually cleaned up some of the pics. I got some pretty cool shots.
Sorry for the wall of pics but... worth it. Oh. I can't get a pic of both coils that I'm happy with... I've got a birthday coming up that might just fix that...But this build duals at .07Ω nice and spicy.

It's called a staplestaggerton. No videos that I know of. It's staggered ribbon with 26g fused to the outside. There are some more pics of the staggered ribbon on the last page.Super, what a beauty coil. Well done! What is the exact name of the coil and are there any build videos? I would love to try one...
Those are a b*tch to wrap. Keeping both of the wires on the sides of the spaced staple (you can use a Clapton as the central core) while wrapping them together for me results in a fail that ends up looking like it started off well but ended up as a double suture. Think of a king cobra, how it flares out at the head then just looks like any other normal snake below the head. That's how mine come out lolIt's called a staplestaggerton. No videos that I know of. Yo @Superfecta_ you shoulda held out on that box you just got...
That's what I thought until I saw the Reuleaux by JayBo Designs and Wismec. Triple series 18650 DNA 200 instead of a LiPo pack. Comes out mid November and the price tag on it is around $169, so I'm gonna get one.I saw this a few days ago. Looks nice, I have no interest in triple para though. No need, rather keep my tiny form factor. The thought of marrying sets of 3 batteries is a huge turn off for me.
What's the name of that cool atty?Welp, learned my lesson here. This is thin, very thin nickel wire and it was so low in resistance it wouldn't even test fire on my Sigelei 150 TC. Think it read 0.03 ohms or 0.02. Learnt lesson when using nickel wire the resistance needs to be built into the coil so it can fire. Interesting mistake, have on there now a replacement wire which does fire made of Kanthal. At least it looks pretty in the image.
