Looks great! I always forget how nice a standard coil could be after running fused claptons for so long. How is it performing for you?
I always keep a "regular/standard" build handy just in case when I'm building something new and it's not working out or when my face is inches from 3 wires watching alien wraps lol

I always keep a back up build too, just in case the new one doesn't want to play nice. It's usually just a redo of the build currently in the atty.
Edit: fresh build in the Kennedy 24. 24g & 26g fused with 40g. 6 wraps on a 3mm bit.

Double fused?
Nah 1 strand 24g 1 strand 26g. The fused 26g was too cool of a vape, but the fused 24/26g made it just right. I also have about 14" of fused 24/40g, but one strand KA1 & one strand N80 to raise the resistance just a bit.

Welp, I'm back from my hiatus with new skin grown on both my fusing fingers...for now. Cat tracks. I've never made 'em before. They light up instantly and give a very warm dense vape. These are right about .09Ω 10x30ka1 fused w/ 30ka1. Flattened.

Something different. I've got a million pictures of aliens, I'm getting alien'd out. Need some fresh blood in the water. Thinking of zippering those 1/2 naked staggered staple I posted a few pages back. Maybe tomorrow. :headbang:

I was just thinking about doing this the other day as well. didnt know if it would be hard to wrap or not, but looks great!

Fused 26ga N80, Clapton with twisted 32ga, and staged with 26ga N80. Was just trying something with the twisted wire to see if I can actually Clapton with it. iTeo style wicking.

Will tinker more. Only have like 30 mins to wrap coils. Sucks.

It is performing well. I put dual parallels on it and it improved flavor a bunch. The obvious comparison is to the Vector. For me, the two attys both have their high points. To say one is better than the other is a big leap for me in that I really am enjoying them both equally.

I will eventually clapton it or zipper it but mostly have been wrapping simpler coils. Thanks for asking.

No clue. I just know that a single 6 wrap 2.5mm 24g N80 fused Clapton clocks in around .15 per coil.

Someone tell me why I shouldn't pull the trigger on a Petri v1.5 & dotmod cloud cap at local vape for $149 right now...it's pretty much a Petri v2 IMO and has moar gold n stuff on it.

I tried some standard 22ga kanthal 3mm coils last night. One single coil spaced in my tfv4 RBA and one dual coil in my Aeolus. Both were giving me dry hits. It only occurred to me when I was dry burning the Aeolus build for the 2nd time that the fumes coming off the tee coils were irritating my nose and making my eyes water and were likely irritating my throat making it seem like a burnt hit. Changed the build out to a parallel 24n80/26n80 dual coil and all burning went away. Looks like kanthal is out for me and I need to get some 22ga nichrome to keep on hand.

I just build a quad fused build in my Kennedy 24 last night. 2x 26g core fused with either 36 or 38g N80 (can't remember, build all the coils about a week ago). It was a ..... to build and took a bit of fineness with a jewelry hammer to get everything in. Comes out to around .08. Not sure how much I like it though. The best build I've ever had in the 24 was a quad fused build (2x 28g core fused with 38g N80) coming in around .12.

The Petri is amazing and worth the price. I have two in my rotation (2x petri v1.5 and a Kennedy 24). The flavor is great, it's really easy to build and it's a gorgeous atty. I don't own a cloud cap yet but the draw is a bit tight with the standard cap and it does get warm. The only other con is that the post holes are smaller than I thought but I haven't had any problems getting fused claptons in there (26 core). With the cloud cap the draw will be a lot better and the heat should be completely resolved. I plan to pick up at least one pretty soon, or another Kennedy 24 haven't decided. I really love the 24 and the petri so it's a hard choice.

Where are these builds you speak of?
I already have a Petri. Yeah of course the draw is gonna be tight when you're comparing it to a Kennedy 24, which is pretty much made for competitions. 4x 3.5mm airholes vs 2x 3mm airholes. But it's really not too tight compared to a ton of atty's on the market. I can fit 26g fused into a Petri v1 that's never been a problem. And the heat ain't bad, it's a great combo of flavor and vapor production
Retro - are you saying the cloud cap is bad? I know the v1.5 isn't bad, they fixed the problems people were having with the v1 with post spin and center pin stripping. I never had those problems though.
I guess I'll just wait for dotmod to come out with a true v2 then, and it MUST be gold plated all around like the build deck. Fxck it, the whole chamber and cap must be made of solid gold.

my first time using kgd, got a pack of ten pads to compare to my muji cotton, although they look slightly different i dont see any difference in wicking or flavour, i will continue to plough through the muji from now on once they are gone :)

It's not that it's bad, but it's a 1.5 with a different cap is all. They even state on the site "this is not a petri v2". I would hold off and see what people are saying about it. One plus is the purple cap will go with your newest mech.
