1st RX200 SS TC test
316L 24g single coil @ 0.6 ohm, power set @ 40W & temp @ 350F vapes like a champ!

Just used the same settings on a Goliath v2 with 316 - first time using SS for TC (normally use Ni) it's probably the best TC experience I've had on any device I've owned.
I'm impressed by this device, especially considering how cheap it was.

TC just not there at all...

If you click it more then 3 times like in the videos it will never change in to temp mode. Since there is a 4 click function it doesn't matter how fast or slow you click. It's just 1 2 3 then stop. Sometimes the change isn't instant and take a 1/4sec. Patience is the key.

You are also doing 4 clicks....which is a different command....3 quick clicks [emoji14]

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
I guess you don't understand the video. If seen the video you should notice the first 2 times i hit the button 4 times showing nothing happens. Then i hit the button 3 times twice showing it change to temp mode. Given my statement with the video i thought it was obvious what I was showing. Sorry, i should have known better and restated my point in the video.

At one point I put in an SS build which had a tiny short somewhere, it went into wattage mode and wouldn't come out of it - until I installed another build which was okay.

It allowed me to switch between modes fine after that, it was like a reset of sorts.
Three clicks within a second - give it a go!

No idea what went wrong here Guys

Hoping it was user error as I have one in the post

Damaged battery wrap or not 30A cells maybe

Am sure I read here the Rx200 monitors individual cells when in use and holds a balancing charger

That's not good!

Any more background on this?

I'm suspecting three different batteries with different capacities and amp ratings.
This is the problem with devices that have such high outputs, some folks that don't have any knowledge of vaping will buy these and will just throw in the nearest 18650's.

They probably should have sent these out with appropriate batteries installed.

If this particular device went thermal with the correct batteries installed then that's really worrying.

Exactly, this screams user error. Either mismatched batteries or nicked battery wrappers or something of that nature.

Happened in a B&M from what little info can gather so far

From what I read 'Possibly' only two batteries were married and the third just chucked in to make up the numbers

You would still expect inbuilt protections in the mod to stop this happening.
