2012 Juice of the Year Awards?

Yeah I'm thinking that sticking with one tobacco category is best, mainly because I can foresee some debates on what belongs in a category. For instance I would consider NLV's Line Rider a 555 where someone else might not, and let's not even get started on RY4's (I really don't want to get publicly schooled by billherbst )

I think that we need to limit it to an overall top flavor... and either 4 or 5 other categories... but I would really like to see one for best new juice.

Yeah I think that would definitely warrant an interesting category, but as some have already mentioned how would we find/verify that information other than me having to contact every vendor about each juice nominated (or mwa, who has since joined this venture to make 2012 the new 2011)? Any ideas are welcome!

Any ideas are welcome!

Would you really need to contact them all... or just the ones that were competing for the title? I suspect that no more than 5 or 6 flavors will have a lead on the rest... at least if it is like last year and like most votes...

That does keep it nice and simple... and prevents people from asking why not menthol, RY4, 555, fruits, bakery, desserts, etc...

What if a juice won in more than one category? Like overrall and new? OR... tobacco and overall etc? Would we want the overall winner to take precedence and have the runner-up behind the overall take the other category?

Are you saying we wouldn't necessarily vote for "Best New Juice", but whatever juice that is determined towards the end to be a new juice with the most votes gets that title?

Categories are good, and how I would like to go, with an overall Best juice of the year in each, but open to suggestions of course, Last YEARS 2011 ECF's juice of the year Awards went very well, Sa Da Tay did a great job at tallying everything up. We will get all the rules set in this thread using any and all suggestions to come up with how it will all be done OK ? THEN make a new thread on DEC 1ST to start the awards thread. So anyone that has suggestions please post them here. I like the categories below with having overall best juice of the year in each category as well as having an overall Best juice of the year ???

Haha, yeah that's what I'm not looking forward to. I still think that we'll go by the last indicator in whatever string o' flavors someone nominates, like in your example it would be a tobacco. If someone wants to nominate a Cherry-Chocolate 'nCream-Daquiri-Menthol-Tobacco, that shiznit is going in tobacco

Btw maybe I'll have to start tallying the votes for how we're going to vote, and make a spreadsheet about the spreadsheet. Should we vote on whether to do this?
