What if we have a combination there of category =
Tobaccos
Fruits
Desserts
Bakery
Drinks
Candies
Menthols
combination of categories juice ?

Haha, yeah that's what I'm not looking forward to. I still think that we'll go by the last indicator in whatever string o' flavors someone nominates, like in your example it would be a tobacco. If someone wants to nominate a Cherry-Chocolate 'nCream-Daquiri-Menthol-Tobacco, that shiznit is going in tobacco
But if a vendor named there flavor Menthol-Tobacco-Cherry-Chocolate 'nCream-Daquiri it would be a drink
and if it was Daquiri-Menthol-Tobacco-Cherry-Chocolate 'nCream it would be a dessert...
and if it was Chocolate 'nCream-Daquiri-Menthol-Tobacco-Cherry it would be a fruit?

YUP sure is, we dont need to complicate this,,, simple categories is going to happen here,,,, what do you guys/Gals think about having the Combination category ? just 1 of them, along with the other categories ?
I think simplicity would prevent most of the arguments as to what something should be categorized as...

Best New
Best Tobacco or Tobacco Blend
Best Non Tobacco
The only question I could see then would be what if one juice won multiple categories... how we would treat that since technically it could win 3 of those...
Maybe a heirarchy of Best Overall, followed by Best New, followed by the other two which are mutually exclusive.
If a juice was voted best overall, it would be redundant to call it the best new as well... same for if it was best overall to name it the best tobacco or non-tobacco would be redundant... the best overall in fact would have to win one other category.

Last years came down to the same type of flavor,, there are to many vapors now who like different types of flavors at this point. So having a best of each category below would be better, this way many will also want to try each of these categories of juice after the awards go out.

What''s wrong with the a best overall winning one of the categories ?? that would be OK wouldnt it ???? That's kind of the idea of having a Best of the Best overall juice Winner. Look let's not complicate this,, there are so many juice vendors now that I doubt one vendor will win 3 category's but if they are that good then they deserve to win,,,, let's let the people vote, that's what is going to decide no matter what, who is the best in each category, as well as overall Best of the Best in 2012.

I would actually strongly disagree with that statement. I know that some have said that, but none of the 3 top competitors from last year taste even remotely similar to me. Perhaps my taste is just not discriminating enough to pick out the same taste from among the blend... but they were all very different flavors to my taste buds.
I think you're probably right. If you're going to have multiple categories, the only fair thing to do is let the chips fall where they will.
If we're going to be picky, I want best extracted tobacco and best non-extracted tobacco subcategories.
If a new flavor won then do you want it to win all but one of the 4 categories? If you have a lot of categories... then you get into debates about how to classify them... makes it tough...
I'll go along with whatever the consensus is though... I'm not willing to run it... I do not have the free time to do so I am afraid!

Allazar,,,, we can sit here and say what if all day long,,,,,,, a new flavor cant win all 4 categories, it would win the combination category ! There cant be any debates, the total amount of votes in each category will be the winner of that category, with the one who has the most overall votes winning the best of the best, period. This comes down to the peoples vote, no body can control who votes for who, it is what it is and will ALL WORK OUT.

This would fall under Tobacco, if an Extracted tobacco gets the most votes then they would win Tobacco category, keep it simple.
A new juice could win three, but if a new juice wins three, it probably deserves to win all three.
One of the categories can be "Best Overall Flavor." Would that solve the problem? Sorry if I repeated something, I didn't read the whole thread
