2015 - New Bottom Feeder Mod from China!

I bought and received a KUI Bottom Feeder. It is a true 1:1 copy of the Reosmod. First impressions: sturdy as a rock, works with all my 510 BF atties including all RM's, adjustable 510 connection, uses Reosmods parts (tubes, bottles etc.), only 2 colors available so far (silver and black), included atty is pretty good! Fire button is very sturdy with locking feature. Overall, I am very impressed! Just wanted to pass this info on! Available here: Kui bottom feeder mod | Scans Mod.

I agree with pennysmalls, guess they're jealous of what Reo's can do and they're trying their hand at it.

I don't think Rob is the type to do anything about this sort of thing but he does have a patent on the Reo and could probably do a lot about it if he ever chose to do so.

Rob will never have a problem selling REO's. He offers great customer service and such. If a part on one of these breaks you'll probably have to buy a new mod completely. That and the fact that the price isn't that much of a difference probably.

I did some searching on Kui bottom feed mod, and found a thread on UK vape where the maker was selling them through PM's and paypal as he finished batches. Price for the Mech was roughly about 70$ as far as I could tell. Variable versions are coming down the pike. Alibaba has some info on them as well, and I found a fast tech thread on their forum, but no product that I could find. I'm choosing the bright side of the coin, and if these things take off, there will be a whole lot more BF ready atiies available down the road.

Scans Tech has sent me one of these things to review - should be here in a few days. As the owner of two Grands, it'll be interesting to see how closely the Kui has copied Rob's design.

Just from pics, they're comparable with the milled version of REO. They don't have the well like the originals.

I have 6 Reos, 4LP's and 2 Mini's 2.1, that I "baby" to death. Just needed a 'beater' BF mod that I could risk getting roughed up a bit. The KUI Mod will never come close to the REO's in Quality, Performance, and Customer Service. But for the price, its a great value.

I can understand that, oh just noticed you're in Ajax, my girlfriend lives there and I went up in August. Beautiful place, but that 401 up there was terrifying haha. Plus that town is so busy with after work crowed going home. The Go Train was an interesting experience. Never been on a train til then.

but I mean with the way I treat my Reo's and the way super_x_drifter threw his and played hockey and basketball with it. I'm 100% certain this Reo can take any abuse it's given. I'd post the video here, but a moderated moved it away from this sub forum, but there is a thread in the Reo Sub forum of it. Not sure I ever seen you in there yet. I'd use it, but I wouldn't buy it personally. I have 2 reo's, I don't need more mods although, the desire to get a third will always be in my mind haha.

Hey man, you live in Ajax eh? Im out in Whitby. Where do you do most of your shopping, B&Ms or online? I get most of my stuff from online, was just at the new B&M in Ajax tonight. Why does everyone say the 401 is scary? I dont think its that bad, I commute into Toronto for work since I bought my home in Whitby. I know of some local gems where you can get premium juices and such. I know of a lot of good shops. PM me man, its cool to see an advanced vaper liveing literally so close to me.

Definitely not a 1:1 clone. The KUI has a Zinc body and a different fire button & mechanism.

Well, technically one can use any dripper, just like with a milled REO. But as you said, only those that are modified for bottom feeding can be used as bottom feeding atties. Otherwise the bottom feeding feature won't work & it's just a simple mechanical box mod.

Sure, but that kind of defeats the point of a bottom feeder.

I don't really see that putting much of a dent in REO's, most people that want a Lexus but can only afford a Hyundai weren't Lexus customers to begin with. With something like this more people that couldn't buy an REO can check out the idea cheaper and if they like it they can move up.

Looks interesting...but even after only having used it for a few hours, I still love my REO and don't think I could ever go to a clone.
