The Lower the AWG the thicker the wire,,, 28 Awg & 30 Awg, are excellent for Genesis type Atty's in my opinion. and no 28 is not to hard to work with, but any lower then this and it does get tougher to make coils with, I have made some coils with some very thick wire with 12-15 coil wraps just to get 1.5-1.7 ohms, problem you start getting into is you just dont have enough room at this point, and you have to be careful with Amp draw,,, people shouldn't mess with this unless they know what there doing as well.!!!

Ordered some Kanthal A 29awg cuz I couldn't find any of them 28s... I wanna try those "larger surface area" vaping that everyone is fussing about...

So I received my 500 yesterday. I also picked up an Orion v2.1 yesterday at vapercon!! 500 the best thing since sliced bread. WOW. I can't say enough about it. Also, up until this point I've been doing 9/10 wraps of 30 k-a1 on my line with 400. I find that I was getting better flavor than a 4/5 wrap on the 400, but not as much warmth in my vape as I would like. With the 500 and a 4/5 wrap the flavor is really good and the vapor production/warmth is outstanding. Very happy with both the 500 and the Orion. Thanks to BJ43 and emonty as well as many other memebers for sharing their knowledge On wicks and wire my Genny's are amazing!!!

5 wraps of the 30Awg Kanthal is what I set all my Genesis Attys up with too, its a super vape.

Hheheheh,,, that's a blown up picture too,,, I've got that sucker in my Bulli smoker and let me tell ya it's a serious Kick Azz coil, a 2 sec hit puts out the thickest vapor you've ever seen and with seriously great flavor too I've got one in each of my DiD's too with 500 Mesh and it's pure Bliss

With wire that thick it should last forever. Should hold up to a toothbrush scrub when the coil gets gunky.
