I received a pack of these bad boys from litecig today, and THEY ROCK! The draw on them is very smooth and very light. I thought it would be too light but vapor production keeps up very well. The easiest way to fill them is through the connector. Its very easy to fill it through the hole, and its almost like they were machined for it. There is a nice dimple that fits a single drop perfectly, that is not found on k808 or the odd ball smoke51 cartos.

The vapor production is easily comparable to that of a fresh 510 atty and has decent throat hit. I will definetly be buying more of them.

Here ya go: YouTube - A Great Way To Fill Cartomizers

I use this method to fill my 510 cartomizers, but I put the mouth piece in first. When I see the juice about to bubble out of the battery end, I stop. Works like a dream!

Thanks! That does look super easy.

Now to decide between the cartomizers with the straw going the entire length or 3/4th length. I haven't a clue what those straws are for... only saw others talking about them. Anyway, these carts would be great for those times when dripping is not a good idea... like driving.

i bought blanks from vaporkings.com. They look very much like kr808 but with different thread. With the megabats i am using the 510 cart has too much airflow compared to a kr808 with adapter and relatively weak vapor production compared to 510 with PTB mod or 306a direct dripping. (same juice)

I filled with condom tachnique and it loads about 2 times more juice but seems to have weak flavor and vapor so far. I have been using the condom method but will try some other approaches. ( i also don't find that the refilled KR808s have as much zap either but i have noticed large differences in just the three suppliers i have tried so i think its a lot harder to generalize about cartomizers since you can't easily see the innards and there is no branding info about who the manufacturer is, how long ago they were filled (some have seemed dry on arrival) etc.

i'm not confident the juice is really soaking into the carto filler so when i have some time i will pop the lid and find out if i have the tube type. any other comments on the vaporking 510 blank cartomizers and best filling practices?

seems perhaps that like the premium vs regular kr808 there are better and worse 510 cartos out there

added EDIT
dripping (as opposed to condom method) seems tobe somewhat like priming the atty on the 510 and improves things a bit--but still too much airflow

I also got mine from vaporkings.com. I've notice the airflow issue, but I'm getting good flavor and vapor, so it's not bothering me really. What DOES bother me is that I tore one apart tonight (getting that cap off is no small feat!) and there was a burnt spot in it. It was tiny, but it was there. :( Now, I'm wondering if it's because I used it for 3 days. But there's no way of knowing if it happened on day one or day three so I'm kinda scared to use these now. I'm really sad about it. I love the two piece simplicity.

Yesterday, I had to do some research to answer a question in the ATE forum about where to find a video on the condom refill technique for 510 cartomizers. What I learned may have some use to readers of this thread, so I'm reposting it here. [NOTE: I have no personal experience with 510 cartomizers; all information is second hand.]

It is said that the teacher learns more than the student. That certainly is true for me: in this case and in many others.

I must have had tunnel vision during the past couple months, because I was unfamiliar with 510 cartomizers until preparing to answer your question.

I now have conducted some research and may almost have caught up to you on this. Although you have found that video at least once, whereas I can't find it at all. I can tell you the following:
  • There are two types of 510 cartomizers: smaller capacity tan/cork colored soft carts (e.g., from NHaler and LeCig) and larger capacity black colored hard carts (e.g., from LiquidXpress, DIETsmokes, and VaporKings.
  • VaporKings is the only supplier I know of who offers blank (what you call "dry") 510 cartomizers. Rob specifies that these are not made by JoyeTech but will work with Joye 510 and eGO/Tornado batteries and 510 adapters. They have a capacity of 28-30 drops of e-Liquid and are 2.7 Ohms resistance.
  • I've read differing opinions on which end to insert into the condom when using Dogbody's Carto Cap Filler Method. If I were to do it, I'd start by trying it from the battery end.
  • Many videos of this method (using Kr8 carts) can be found on YouTube by searching there for "cartomizer condom", "CCFM", or "carto cap" (quotes not needed). I like Doctor Vapor's presentation the best:
Although I wasn't able to find that particular video for you, I hope this helps. Thanks again for teaching the teacher, Warrior!

i have these from a couple different suppliers. the ones from litecigusa have a hard plastic cap. ( this can be removed easily by holding with plyers on the battery end, submerge the mouthpiece end in a boiling pot of water for about 45 sec then it comes off)the ones from vaporkings have a nice soft silicone mouthpiece that comes out easily. they are easy to refill and clean by boiling , i have filled one four times and then cleaned and reused four times. not sure of voltage but the ones i have gotten from nhaler seem to work better with mega batteries. the tube down the center is pretty delicate i wouldn't recommend trying to pull the filler out. The way these work is the atty is structured through that tube in the center there is a special material surrounding it that wicks the juice from the outside in not upside down , get it ... soon as you taste a little difference in flavor refill .there is also a trick called the taryn twirl , what you do is take a cart put the plug on the batt side drip in you liquid , when it looks like it is full put it in battery bag batt side down grab the string swirl it like a helicopter , remove add more fluid . i can get just under thirty drops this way.

Just a heads up on the new cartos...

I got mine from Litecigusa (great site, btw!), and they are pretty good.

However, I just tore one open that I had used for a week (probably about 6 refills), and the thing was burned pretty well.

I should have known that something was up when I filled it using the condom method, and there was black stuff floating in the "condom" after I did (this was probably after the 3rd refill).

I don't have any pictures, as I already tossed it, but it was quite scorched.

So... take home message: I'd give these 2 or 3 refills, tops, before tossing them, as they seem to get burnt quite badly after that.

Otherwise? They're pretty awesome!

remember on carto's if you go vaping them totally dry, they may burn, if you think to yourself "wow it's been awhile" you should always drip some in there, if you go dry, toss it, they are disposable and made to be so, not made to turn into your brand new all the time atty, otherwise they'd be atomizers and not cartomizers :)

Thought I'd add my 2 cents...

I just received a pack of 510 cartos, KR808D cartos and premium KR808D cartos from LiteCigUSA. (I haven't tried the V4L stuff yet..it's next on the list). I got my 510->Kr808D adapter from MadVapes. I've previously only used 510 atty/carts so this was all new for me.

First thing was trying out the 510 carts. These were pre-filled with USA Mix-24mg. I vaped on it heavily for about 2hrs (major headrush)..just to see how long they'd last under serious conditions. Then I couldn't stand it anymore so tried the condom method to refill..and immediately flooded the crap out of it..LOL! So having no idea how to get the extra out..I popped the top..and of course I tore it up! So now I'm really bummed. I kinda felt like I was trying to refill a Bic lighter! Very frustrated. I did manage to sop-up the excess liquid with a kleenex and did figure out how to blow the excess out the end after another search on ECF. I just wasn't ready to give up on this one sacrificial unit yet. I was trying to figure out what to use to cap it off...I took the cap piece off one of 510 carts and tossed that in there but it's too loose. Then it hit me! My drip-tip! Wow! It fits!! I vaped that whole cart again! And what's more I actually liked it better!

My biggest difference with cartomizers vs atty/carts is that the cartomizer does heat up nicely for the warm vapor you'd expect from an analog, but it also warms the metal tubing just a bit much for me...but the drip-tip creates a heat shield from that and also allows more vapor to escape from the chamber. I think it's ideal!

My only complaint with the 510 cartos vs the KR808D's is the noise level. My girlfriend is used to the slight gurgle or hiss from my normal 510 atty/cart rig..but she was visibly distracted by the 510 cartomizer. It definitely has a roar to it. The KR808D carto was completely silent in comparison.

I'm still figuring out fill levels and tweaking a few things..but I truly enjoy having 2+hrs of hassle-free vaping. No tweezers, no kleenex, no bottles, no mess! And once the initial cap and glue is removed from the carto..refilling takes about 20 seconds!

I just got my 510 cartos today. I love the no-fussiness of them! The draw is very light... would appreciate any tips on tightening it up. I got mine from Health Cabin and their $5.50 right now. I didn't see any blanks so I got USA Mix, RY4 and Flue Cured. Only tried the USA Mix and the flavor and vapor are both very good.

LOL, Wolf, "roar" is a great description of the of the noise level...the only word I could think of was "frizzle", but roar is better.

Just finished my first 5-pack of blank cartos. Going back to regular atty has been hell for me, in all honesty. I'm really eager to get more cartos, but I can't find any empty ones in stock anymore and I'm allergic to PG.

I prefer them to the standard KR808 (both on 510 bat and a VaporKing) and to the 510 atty. Best vaping experience I've had yet.

I just got mine this morning and they're even better than what I read. From now on it will be my Ego and 510 cartos all the way. I have been vaping on this one since early morning, and just topped it off for the first time a few minutes ago and the taste and vaper are fantastic!

Must order some more. I just got 10 from LiteCig. I like them so much better than the 808D-1 cartos. :)

Time to toss in my two cents. I bought a pack from LiteCig.us of blanks. They have the cap glued in. I just pried them out. I started out using the cart condom method and it worked okay. The taryn spin or whatever it is works well to pack the juice in tight.

My impression is that it doesn't have as much flavor as a standard 510 atty. However, the consistency and huge vapor make up for that in my opinion.

I am using mine on a 510 regulated 5v box mod. I have since switched to using a syringe to refill. I slide the needle down the side, between the wall and filler, then fill until I see the juice creep up to the top of the filler. I also preform a quick blow from the mouthpiece end to clear out any juice trapped in the center chamber before vaping with it.

I have been using one 510 carto for almost 5 days now. I am waiting on an order from Eastmall of 70 cartos. The one I am using is still going strong.

I also rinse it out under hot water every day and let it dry overnight before I fill in the morning. So far so good. Will post a disection of my heavily overused carto when I get in the new stock.

I have an 808 are these the ones that I should be getting? I know they work but will they have the different cap and tube design as well as the lower ohms?

KR808d-1 PREMIUM Blank Cartomizers

Hi! :) This is a thread about cartomizers that fit 510 batteries. You might need to ask this question somewhere else to get an answer. Or maybe someone who knows will happen upon it here.

Any tips on getting the last of the glue out?

I think the condom method only works well with the glued in white piece. The soft, removable ones keep falling off while you fill. But the Taryn spin seems to work great with any refill method.

Also, the KR808 people found that ammo cases are great for storage. Has anyone tried them for the big 510 cartos? They seem to be the same diameter but longer than the 808s -- I'm wondering which size ammo would match.
