It's only 33 watts. From what I understand it's okay to vape in wattage mode on a TC device. I just don't go very high with the wattage. :)

smoking nickel bad juju.I used to play with a bottle of mercury I used for extracting fine gold,it's easier now with my third arm.just sayin..

I have a few juices that get dark while vaping. I am under the impression that it happens mainly because of added sweetener and sometimes just the components of a particular juice. It doesn't sound like the juice is getting burnt, just turning dark, right? If it isn't a temperature issue and your flavor isn't off, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The ceramic will turn dark after a few tanks full anyway. :)

I clean mine by dropping it into a small bowl of warm water with a denture cleaning tablet and letting it soak over night, then boiling a mug of water in the microwave and dropping the coil into that for a few hours. I rinse it off and let it dry, and the ceramic is still dark but the flavor is back. I got a good 20 tanks worth of juice out of my first kanthal coil by cleaning it this way after the first 10 tanks and I probably could have cleaned it again after the second 10 but had another coil so I actually sent it to 100%VG so he could inspect it and perform some of his own cleaning tests on it to see what he could find.

I hope this helps! All of this is purely based on my own personal experience and fiddling, so don't go citing my work in any journals or anything. :D
Right. I'm pretty certain it's not the juice because, this juice is clear, I've used in several other tanks many times for long periods of time and it hasn't ever turned dark, or any color at all for that matter. But it happened with this coil on my first coil ever like this, so it had to be something in the coil. But I went and bought another one and Ima try it out and see what happens. Another thing, a lotta people that work at the vape stores like to do everything for you, even if you already know how to do it, and regardless of what it is, they have a habit of wantin to do everything for you. Including priming your coil even if you've been vaping for a long time. But anyway, it may have been somethin the guy that put it together for me did because instead of letting it sit, he said "let's just jump it on up there." And he started with it at 35 watts. So idk. I guess so many different variables apply it could be so many different things. But I really appreciate your reply and the initiative to help me out man. Thank you.

I'll try to address your situation.

I couldn't find anything in Crystal Smurf ingredients that looks like it would do that, but I don't know everything about it. I found a recipe that is supposed to duplicate it, so that was not an exact recipe.

Have you vaped this juice in other tanks? Does it stay clear in other tanks?

One of the things the cotton padding around the ceramic does is filter what gets into the ceramic and to the coil.
I haven't noticed any backflow in and out, nor have I seen anything like you have, but I can see that happening under certain conditions. Whatever the brown substance is, it has to be very fine to make its way back through the cotton.

What Wattage are you using on that 0.9Ω Kanthal cCell? It is rated from 20W to 35W. Exceeding 35W too much can damage materials in the Coil Head

NOTE: Just in case...
The Ni200 cCell should not be used in Wattage Mode. Doing that has a potential to damage the Nickel because the temperature is not regulated, and that could release Nickel particles into the vape.
.
I normally run it at 30 watts. And yes I've used this juice in several different tanks and this has never happened so it has to be somethin to do with the cCell coil itself. But I appreciate your input man and the initiative to help me out. Thanks a lot man.

Coil aside, which of those tanks is generally considered to be 'the best' assuming money isnt an issue
Can't say which ones the best, but I can say I own a Triton V1 and a Herakles and the cCell coil works good in both, the Tritons airflow seems a little restricted, and the Herakles does too but not as much as the triton. I do like the top fill on the triton as to where I have to take the kerakles off every time.

No problem! I'm sorry I wasn't any actual help, lol. :)

I buy dark juice so I don't have to think. It hurts mah head.
I have found in some cases, the sweetener in the juices turn the color and the different heads but with all things being created equal, coils are not. Some will fire hotter and have hot spots as others will be cooler so I never go by the recommended wattages,I feel the wattage out at a lower temp then up it to a vape I like. What is perfect on one coil with the same juice is not always the same with a new coils or same coils in a different tank with same juice.

example here for me.I used the original .09 coil.which showed on the mod as .09 ohm in a target tank and it was firing awesome at 34 watts, got some new coils and now it wants to vape at 29 watts.I put the old coil in same tank and it bogged down at 29.I also noted that with usage, the used ceramic coil ohm dropped by 1ohm to .08 ohm exactly after more than 10 tanks but on the new stated.09 ohm coil it started off at .85 ohms without any usage.

I may be wrong, too. I just assumed as long as I don't go over what I set the wattage mode for when it's in TC mode it would be okay. It never gets hot but it responds a whole lot better in wattage mode than it does in TC. I don't get any funky taste from it... I better go do some research. I don't wanna grow a third eye! :)
On a good note,if anything,you'd be worth a nickel. ;)

@ Vaporesso

Would you please consider to release a smaller diameter / higher gauge wire coil for the mouth-to-lung folks.

For comparison purpose here is the 0.9 ohm kanthal head next to the Triton 1.8 Ohm which works really well MTL.

With a tight airflow the 0.9 head is not usable. It starts producing some vapor at 17W, but it's hot and very harsh - a sign of overheating because it doesn't get enough air on the coils.

I bet you're right. Lowering your nic level will probably resolve those pesky headaches! :)
I went to my local shop today where I got my juice from. He added some 0mg nic. I immediately went back to my cCell, been vaping it for about 12 hours now...no headaches. :vapor::banana:

Yay! That's an added benefit I didn't know the cCell provided! :) I'm glad you got rid of that pesky headache. Being nic sick is NO fun!
