hey all, i just got my pack of ni200 ccell's in the mail. i got one in my atlantis on a dna 200 at 500°F 30 watts and.......this coil sux. if i go above 530°F i get the nastiest/strangest tasting burnt hits. it seems like coil is not wicking at ALL. am i doing something wrong? i these were supposed to wick great and have super d duper flavor. i'm using a 60vg 40pg liquid. i want to like these coils but.........
found the problem. only the top wicking hole peaks above the rim on the base of the atlantis, while the bottom ones are covered by the recessed threading, choking the coil. looks like these coils will not work in the atlantis or at least not with 60/40 juice. this sux, looks like $10 wasted.
EDIT....I refuse to lose money. this is my fix. i used flush cutters and a jewelers file to file and cut away some of the gold plated brass to expose two of the juice holes. i see now why these coils are so popular. sooooo smooth........what a vape!

Came here to say the same! I hadn't stopped vaping them, but I'm glad to know everything's pointing towards them really being all that and a bag of Doritos!
Whew! That's a relief! Now, if only I could get my mits on a CeraVape Soter tank. That's the big ol' (25mm?) tank that takes three ceramic heads. I think it would pair very well with a teal and white Reuxleau! Can't afford either right now, so I'm just planning....
Thing is, I don't think GrimmGreen should have started the rumor WITHOUT either having backup for it OR stating the name of the company doing the testing. Had I known it was Vapor Shark - knowing that they do A LOT of independent testing - I might have heeded the warnings. As it was, I thought it was likely sour grapes from Guo (makes of the Altus), or Freemax (makers of the Scylla), or Gigue (makers of the Dolphin), or any number of other "me too" companies on coming to market with their own ceramic coils.

You are using that Target Mod with a Kanthal cCell in Temp Mode? You said both cCells are Kanthal. The Target Mod is supposed to switch out of TC Mode into VW Mode with a non-TC coil. If you are using the Target Mod with a Kanthal cCell in TC Mode, then there is something very wrong with your Target Mod.
What Ohms is it reading. The Kanthal cCell is 0.9Ω, and the Ni200 cCell is 0.2Ω.
And 600°F is the Max Temp, which could burn it out quickly.

Good news indeed, but this whole saga is strange. I get the feeling from what they wrote to Phil that VaporShark is going to keep testing.
I hope they give more context on what caused them to get worried with initial results etc. But who knows, maybe it was them just not understanding and jumping to a conclusion too soon.

Maybe it was multiple shooters on the Grassy Knoll.
Also, am I the only one annoyed that folks can't spell or pronounce VapOresso correctly?!? Grimmgreen and a few others constantly spell and call it the Vapresso...

I'm glad you kept at it until you got to experience the true nature the coil. Idn't it great? 
I may be wrong, too. I just assumed as long as I don't go over what I set the wattage mode for when it's in TC mode it would be okay. It never gets hot but it responds a whole lot better in wattage mode than it does in TC. I don't get any funky taste from it... I better go do some research. I don't wanna grow a third eye!
Nickel does not behave like Kanthal, there is a large difference in resistance, with nickel wire the resistance rises dramatically when heated and you run a risk of vaping some very objectionable stuff if you overheat nickel.
ya i really like the flavor this coil is putting out but i had to contact vapenw to see what can be done. i really don't feel like doing that 'hack' four more times, lol.LOL! Nice "hack."
