Not a full review, but he's impressed so far:

Thanks! :thumb: Great to know that the Kanthal cCell Head tastes so good!

I'm really looking forward to getting mine. Looking forward to both regular VW vaping and TC vaping with it. And since we now know that it works with Atlantis-style Heads, we should be able to use an Atlantis-style rba in it, too. :w00t: Even though that won't be a Sintered Head.

Yes, I had to say Sintered again.

I believe the Eleaf Melo and Melo 2 RBA should work as well.

Ha! I just came by here to get my daily dose of sintered and this is the first post I saw! :D

I love that we can use an Atlantis head. I have plenty of those, but I definitely need to try that sintered one!!

Yesterday I got to use your explanation of how having the juice not come into contact with the coil is what should make it not spit juice to explain it to someone who asked. I never did the ceramic stick thing but I have been wishing for a cottonless coil since forever! It sounds like sintering is definitely the way to go. :)

Yes, Cool. It should be much better. I wrapped the AO Ceramics with 0.1x0.5 Ribbon Kanthal. About 4 wraps made approximately 1.8Ω. But the flat wire made much better contact than regular round Kanthal could, because the AO Wick would not bend and give like a SS Mesh wick could and would, if not rolled densely enough (tight enough). I had been using no-center-hole #500 SS Mesh wicks back then. But the AO Sticks could still spit some at times. With the coil actually inside the Ceramics, this should help a lot. But I have to wonder now.

The first video released that was an Animation by Vaporesso indicated that the Sintering Process actually embedded the coil inside the Ceramics, but in the video posted today, the guy said he could see some of the wraps of the coil. I'll be able to better judge for myself by inspecting the Heads when I get my Kit. Delivery is expected on the 24th, but could be a day or two late, as it must be transferred from DHL to the U.S. Post Office. There is no longer a DHL in my area, so they swap out in the New Orleans area, and then it goes to Shreveport before coming to me. I am in Central Louisiana. Talk about going around the elbow to get to the thumb.

Well, I'll be sintered...

I wonder how it would work for us MTL people. Atlantis and Melo are both DL tanks.

And, err.. do we know what this particular ceramic is made out of? How safe is it to heat up this thing? Any noxious fumes? I sure hope not...

And we shall await you, 100 percent. :)
 You didn't use any form of the word sinter! :sneaky:

These are most likely not going to be AO Ceramics. The last Coil Head that I used with Ceramics was a coil around a Ceramic Tube, much like it is around the cotton in an RDA. The Ceramic was said to be a Diatomic material because it was more efficient. But I have seen no reports of concerns with the use of Ceramics in Vaping so far. It has been around in various forms for years now, like the Ceramic Cups used in CE5-style Atomizers. Silica wicking was used to bring the juice up to the Cup, and a Coil in the Cup heated the juice.

There was a whole thread dedicated to Ceramics called The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks which progressed through different types of Ceramics. This is where I found the AO Ceramic Sticks that I got from a friend.

As far as MTL goes, most of the SubOhm Tanks can be used for MTL by setting the Airflow and adjusting the Watts to match. It would be very similar when using Temp Control. By adjusting the Airflow and Watts/TC, it should be great for both MTL and DL users. :) I'll work with that as well when I get mine.

Well this might the next big thing.....the problem with original ceramic wicks were they were designed to be put in genesis atties. They didn't wick fast enough because the juice had to travel a long way to reach the coils. They were super brittle and since they were exposed they would constantly break. Also you had to have the coil making perfect contact with the ceramic or else you would get hot spots. They weren't worth the hassle so everyone forgot about them.

With these atties the ceramic isn't exposed so it won't break on you constantly. The distance the juice has to travel to reach the coils is minimal. Since they are manufactured I am assuming the coils will make perfect contact with the ceramic....so no hot spots. The only problem with these coils will be gunk. With the original ceramic wicks you could take them out and torch them and they would be like brand new....you obviously can't do that with these. In the video the gentleman said these atties should last as long as the coils but I don't think that is true. They will last as long as it take for the atties to get all gunked up and funky.... then you will have to replace them...just like normal coil heads. They will probably last longer than normal coil heads but they won't last you months. If they are priced like normal cotton coil heads they will definitely be worth a try but at $12 a pop I don't think so.

First. Heaven Gifts has stated that the cCell Head packs will be comparably priced with Aspire Atlantis Heads.

Second. The claim is that these Heads are Self-Cleaning.

Third. The AO Ceramic Sticks that I used were somewhat brittle (I only broke 2 of all the ones I used), but no where near as fragile as the one before (or that started the whole thing in The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks), which was called FC2000. It was gray and very brittle.

This is a picture of FC2000 compared to a 400 SS Mesh wick...

AO Ceramic Sticks were solid white. We used 0.1x0.5 Kanthal Ribbon wire to coil it for two reasons. It made better contact with the Stick by giving more surface area contact, and although you had to keep one flat side oriented to the AO Stick as you wrapped it, I found it much easier and forgiving to work with than regular round Kanthal wires. I could slightly tug on the Ribbon wire and gently twist the AO Stick to get the wire tight all the way around each wrap.

And I never pulled an AO Stick to Torch it. I would Dry Burn mine to clean off the gunk buildup. They would disintegrate a little under the coil with extended use, so I would glow burn to clean, and then take the top wrap loose to tighten the coil for better contact when needed. AO Ceramics wicked very well, IMO. Just about the same as the 500 SS Mesh I had been using, which works better than 400 SS Mesh. And it tasted better. I could get the same vape with less Watts.

While this was my experience with AO Ceramic Stick Wicks, your mileage may have been different, but the only reason I stopped using them was because people stopped making them. I never tried FC2000, but AO was said to be much easier to work with by everyone who had used FC2000 back then.

I don't know the details of the Self-Cleaning Process for the cCell Heads, but I am looking forward to using them! The guy in the Heathen Vape preview said that he Dry Burned them to change juices. I'll know more when I get mine and can read the Manual.

I'm sintered up, waiting to see an in depth review for these coils. We'll see if they can live up to the promises.....
You'll see it here, as soon as I have anything to report. :) Again, not expecting delivery until the 24th at the earliest.
I'm keen to try out the coils, especially if they work on the triton or Atlantis tanks. Not interested in the mod though.
The Heathen Vape guy said the cCell Coils should be compatible with Atlantis, and therefore, anything that uses that Head.

You better clear your schedule and be sitting at the mailbox when it arrives. It's been awhile since I've been this anxious to see a review. The mod keeps growing on me more and more too. I'm thinking X-Wing Fighter joystick. We must defeat the Dark Side of cigarettes.

May the Sinter be with you!!!

Yeah I used the original ones...like the one in your picture. I am a Klutz to begin with and they were definitely not a good match for me. Ribbon wire definitely makes more sense than what we were doing. But if I remember my timeline correctly, I don't think we had ribbon wire when I started using ceramic wicks. Everyone was torching the kanthal while wrapping around the ceramic to get the best contact....it was a real PITA. I gave up on them very quickly.

I don't know about self cleaning.....that sounds like hype to me. However, if by dry burning the coil heads it might get them clean enough so that you can use them for a few more days, then these heads have the potential to last a lot longer than the coil heads we have now. The only problem is you can't dry burn nickel and titanium safely....but kanthal an ss coils should be fine. Yes If you can buy these at a reasonable price they definitely have the potential to be a game changer.
