You are drying out, turning into jerky to be consumed as wafers, like in "Soylent Green."

When police backup arrives, the seriously wounded and nearly hysterical Thorn confides to Hatcher the horrible secret behind Soylent Green and urges him to spread the word: "Soylent Green is people! We've got to stop them somehow!"

Went to the doc today because of severe pain in my foot. The doc said it was gout. I am a 33 yr old male (if that is important). I would consider myself a somewhat heavy smoker or vapor.

Is there anything in the e-cig that could have caused an excessive amount of uric acid to build up in my body? I didn't ask the doctor about it as I wasn't 100% sure what was in the e-cig juice. I am using mostly cash's juice and some janty. It is my understandng that certain types of food can make your body build up uric acid. And from my understanding the pg can be found in certain types of food. Just wondering if there is a link.

I absolutley love my e-cig and hope it has nothing to do with this problem. If anyone knows the answer please let me know asap.

One other thing, if you have never had gout I hope you never have it. It is the worst pain I have ever had. I would say its about 3-5 times worse than a bad tooth ache.

I tried to post a new topic for this, but for some reason it wouldn't let me.

    Thanks guys

I've been vaping for over a month now and for the last two weeks i've had bad bronchitis and some Mouth Ulcers.

I've been using my Albuterol inhaler for the bronchitis, I've read that anti-biotics will make bronchitis stronger in the long run so i didnt take them this time. It was suggested by someone that quit smoking and got bronchitis to use an expectorant and not a suppressant for the cough as to get it all out of the lungs.

The bronchitis is getting alittle better but i still can't get a full hit off my e-cig with out coughing.

Hopefully when the bronc goes away i can really start to enjoy vaping again.

went to the doc after i stopped breathing in my sleep and got some meds. the bronch is getting alot better.
but that was from running out of my advair and my lungs healing.

the symptoms that have stuck around: dry eyes (makes me think and feel that i'm more tired then i am), my stomach has been acidic and the gas has been pretty bad, as stated to me by my girlfriend. the mouth ulcers have gone away since i stopped getting the liquid on my lips.

The only symptoms I've had thus far is...
Headaches, which i think is because i am using my e-cig way too much and I'm taking in the nicotine very quickly.

Coughing, which i can only assume is because i am not receiving the cough suppresent that can be found in all analog cigarettes. As my body lacks that cough medication it is now trying to expel all the built up "grossness" that i got from the analogs. It's fine with me I'm happy to get that crap out.

Gosh, I feel so normal after reading some of the side effects some have suffered. Mine seem so much less drastic now. I've been completely off analogs since 11:40 New Years Eve after smoking 2 1/2 packs a day for over 20 years.

I think it's vital for us to share our symptoms/ side effects, but I also think we should share in the positive effects as well. I am also interestd in how much/ long some of you have smoked before vaping.

    My bad side effects:

Muscle cramps- (In the shoulder blade area) Bad for the first few days, but have gotten better now.
Indegestion- Been hitting the bottle (of Tums EX) hard for the last few days. (Mostly at night)
Lethargy- Normal for me and my biggest side effect every time I've tried quitting before, but it too is getting better daily. I think it's from reduced nicotine intake.
Fleghm- Probably my lungs clearing from all the cigs I've smoked for so long.
    Flatulence
Vivid dreams- Not necessarily nightmares as some have stated.

    Good side effects:

I can breath better and easier. Nasal passages clearer than I ever remember.
My house and car smell so much better.
    Snoring reduced drastically.
I feel like I've set an example for my Daughter to also quit. (Riddle80)
The #1 best thing for me is I haven't had a single puff from an analog, so proud of the gratifying feeling that I can actually quit those nasty things forever. It gives me hope that I will live to love my (future) grandkids.

I want to thank all of you for your valuable input. I truly feel like I have a great support group to help me succeed, learn, and accomplish my goal of kicking the habbit forever.

Nitewriter, I smoked 30 cigarettes a day for 50 years and have been e-smoking since last January. I have not experienced much of what is complained of here, but your shoulder problem is dead-on. I have an appointment with an orthopedic clinic tomorrow. My right shoulder radiates pain down my arm, to the point that I can't sleep and have very limited movement of my dominant arm and hand.

Propylene glycol breaks down to lactic acid in our bodies and I only hope it has not been somehow concentrating in this area. Lactic acid, of course, is produced by muscles after exercise, causing the "burn" some like and I avoid like the plague.

I'll post something after doctors find out what it is and hopefully what caused it. Yes, I'll show them my Janty Kissbox and explain it.

TB, I just wanted to add that I found great relief from a little pain patch called Salonpaz. It's found in the section where other muscle relief products are located in the drug store. I started taking 800 mg Ibuprophen with some relief but worried about the liver damage and stomache issues. Salonpaz has asperin in it and puts it right on the pain with no internal damage or interferance with other medications. I hope this helps.

I'm anxious to hear what your Dr says too.

    nr,

Just in this short time? I stopped Dec. 11th and not one ... yet. Knocking on wood. A lot of your side effects will go away with some time too. I agree about the good ones. If there isn't one, start a new thread.

I'm smelling, and tasting better. That could be bad though. I love good food. I walked by scented candle burning and it smelled so good.

Most importantly, I feel better about myself for quitting. I know I don't smell like smoke and not concerned around non smokers. I love to hug friends and I don't have to think about that anymore.

I don't know about my snoring. Maybe I should get another voice activated recorder and find out. My one sis will NOT sleep in the same bed with me when we visit or travel. I guess it must have been bad. hee hee

What kind of writing you doing now?

Good thoughts. Thanks nitewriter. Still love that avatar!!!

Thanks Ladybug, I love the avatar. It was a pic named "Smoking makes you old" and I thought it was a perfect reminder of what analogs was doing to me.

I'm new to forums and not real sure how to start a new thread, but I'd love to see one on the positive effects of vaping. It could be encouraging to those ghost reading and contiplating quitting.

I write screenplays for movies, but have not had anything put to film, so I consider myself and sideline writer. (Gotta make a living)

Far out! OOPS, that time stamps me. Sweet! Get this. New one kid's are saying for something nice? "Sick".

Sounds like fun too. Any I might know. I'm 29. heeheehee

Here's how you start a thread.

When you click on a forum's name, you are taken to the list of threads it contains. A thread is a conversation between members or guests. Each thread starts out as a single post and grows as more individual posts are added by different users. Threads can be rated to show how useful or popular they are and may contain polls.

This forum name is at the top of the page: Health, Safety and E-Smoking.

C-ya in the forum. Hey, let me know if you do start one. I'll send you a friend invite, you say okay if your brave enough, and we can talk to each other by sending private messages, aka PM's. PLEASE be sure to click private message. Otherwise, anyone going to that page can read them.

Hope this helped some. You probably know the other but just incase. You'll catch on quickly. If I can, ANYONE can. hhh

I don't think so. Gout happens over a period of time. Longer than you've been vaping.
