Does anyone know offhand if Varperfexion's Airflow Stainless Bottom Cap would match the diameter of Elegance Top Cap?

Also, there's a great little carto tool over at Hoosier Vapes that I hadn't seen mentioned in this thread.

The link didn't work, here you go Tank tool. That's nifty looking. OMG, I said "nifty".

I have Vaperfexion's Pro-V tank and an Elegance tank. They will NOT match up.

Hmmm. Links to Hoosier Vapes not allowed perhaps? Your link doesn't seem to work either dlsw.

Thanks Baditude. I tried the VPX delrin bottom cap in one of my leftover Elegance plastic tubes when I got home last night. I thought it worked, but maybe not. Or maybe the VPX SS is a different size then their delrin. I may just chance it and get one anyway.

Love the Elegance and Bella tanks at Hoosier Vapes and have replaced two of the three I have with their fused quartz tubes. The reason I'm in search of a matching bottom cap is that I also picked up a full SS Elegance where the tube part of the tank and bottom cap are one piece. Thought it might be nice to be able to convert that to glass as well since I like to see my juice level.

Smooth and nicely finished. You might be able to tell what one of the edges looks like in this picture:

Vermillion River now carries Stainless Steel & Quartz Glass tanks. Pretty sure they made or had these made themselves. I've only had it for a few hours now but the glass is quite thick so I'm thinking it'll be more durable then some others I've bought elsewhere. The stainless steel end caps look almost exactly like the SmokTech Stainless Steel DCT tanks and the bottom cap has a small recess for flanged cartos.

The thickness of the glass really has little to do with durability issues, it is the quality of the glass itself and if it was annealed to make it more durable, from what I've heard from "glass people". Regardless, $28 is a nice price for a glass tank with stainless steel endcaps. Glad that you are happy with the tank, and thanks for sharing.

Been awhile since I visited this thread. I see where you said you replaced the polycarb tubes with quartz tubes. Just in case you wished to customize your Bella or Elegance tanks more, the clear tubes from Phiniac will fit them. I ordered a color sandblasted design tank from Phiniac and it fits perfectly on my Elegance tank.

Yours is probably the best looking tank combo I've seen anywhere and I've actually looked at doing something similar many times. Can't tell you how many times I've had a Phiniac in my cart but just been unable to pull the trigger on it.

I actually haven't used my Bella or Elegance tanks for about a week now. Not exactly sure why, but every carto I put in them ends up leaking. The same cartos do fine in other tanks and I have a theory that it's because there's not an airtight seal at the top but I'm not sure how to test or remedy the situation. I've tried leaving the white cap in the carto, tried an o-ring, even tried cutting the closed end off a carto condom. All three of those either ended up not making a good seal or, in the case of the condom, just not fitting at all. At some point I want to try to flip the white cap of the carto up-side-down so it doesn't seat into the carto itself, but just sits up on top of it up inside the tank top cap.

Thanks for the compliments. :)

I was about to mention that its recommended to leave the white plug in the top of the carto, but you're already doing that. If you go over to the thread, "Show us your Bella Tank" here on ECF, there are two instances that I'm aware of of some of these tanks leaking. It seems that some of these tanks are off just a milimeter or so in certain dimensions that is allowing leaking to occur. Go check the thread out if you haven't already. I believe the other two customers got new tanks, or parts, free from Hoosier Vapes if I'm not mistaken.

I love his red-eyed frog ones, too!

I do think Baditude can qualify at this point as the ECF "glass tank expert."

It's also nice to see somebody really enjoying a certain genre of delivery systems and really getting into it, and being pleased w/their vape.

I've never even wanted a tank, but looking at the nice stuff here makes me think I must surely want one now.

I do love my cartotanks. At this point in my vaping experience, I feel like I have found my sweet spot in juice delivery devices. At some point I'll likely try one of the more affordable RBA's, but for the time being I'm quite content.

My Mom would LOVE that and if she didn't play with vaping I might save money to get her 1 but she doesn't do it seriously. grrrrr

tanks above are sick. im getting to my buddy's house, getting on the lathe and making a boro tank...thankfully i blow glass. never thought to make one, so simple. anyone know the right size to use to fit some popular tanks? I need to get new batteries for my caliper.

Hi thecatanddog! You blow glass? Very cool! You might check into blowing drip tips too - some of them sell for ridiculously high prices and aren't that complicated. As far as the size for tanks, for reference you might want to get some grommets or caps from vendors who already sell glass tanks, since the exterior & interior diameters would already be the correct size for cartos. I suggest silicone, since many folks (like myself) use glass because of juices being incompatible with polycarbonate and acrylic. There are some pretty acrylic grommets/caps out there, but they will melt with certain juices. Cartos themselves, standard & XL, can give you a reference for length. Cheers!
