bnrkwest, What size are those tanks. It doesn't say. I'm looking for a cheap glass tank that will fit my 35 mm boge cartomizers.

Most of them take a standard size carto (35mm), so your Boges would work fine. That's what I use in the frog tank they made me.

It looks like I have a XL 45mm carto in it in the second pic. Probably an earlier photo taken before I got the Boges for the tank. All my other tanks use 45mm cartos, so I had those already on hand.

Thanks. I really like the frog tank :thumb:

Fused quartz or fused silica is glass consisting of high-purity silica in amorphous (non-crystalline) form. It is different from traditional glasses in that no other ingredients are added to lower the melt temperature. Fused silica, therefore, has much higher working and melting temperatures than soda-lime or borosilicate glasses.

With what we are using them for it shouldn't matter much what type. I may be wrong but It would only matter if we were getting the glass to near melting point.

Thanks for the info, xMackx, and I realize that our e-liquids don't get nearly hot enough to melt glass... but I wonder if having a higher melting point means that it will be a stronger, more crack/chipping resistant glass somehow? I have some glass tanks that seem to chip easily and others that don't.

Here's a Valley View Vapes Triple V on a Silver Bullet. I love the Storm Trooper vibe of this setup. It just needs a black aluminum or white ceramic drip tip to complete the look.

Would go great with an all black darth vader mod. Then figure out a way for the air hole on your atty to sound like a breathing apparatus. :vapor:

Do you happen to know what the difference between "fuzed quartz" and "pyrex plain glass" is?

one other difference I found in researching this question myself, was tensile strength. fused quartz has a Lower tensile strength than pyrex. I'm assuming this means that it can more easily crack under strain. so...don't strain :)

I have had a few online conversations with OCD, the glass man of IBTanked concerning pyrex, quartz glass, shatter resistance and durability factors, etc. Since this thread is devoted to glass and pyrex tanks, those who may be interested in his opinions can find them here in IBTank's supplier forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/339809-do-you-fiddle-your-thingy-6.html#post7649464

 OCD explains at the beginning of the thread that IBTanked sends their tanks out to customers inside of clear plastic bottles with caps. Just another way to protect the tanks during transit. I believe the daughter had been holding one of these bottles, opening and closing the cap when someone asked what was she doing. She replied that she was fiddling with the thingy. It became a family inside joke.

What they discovered by accident was placing a juice filled tank inside one of the "thingy's" and "fiddling" with it, ie opening and closing the cap, air bubbles could be seen leaving the holes of the carto and rising up through the juice in the tank. Doing the "fiddling the thingy" seems to prime the carto due to changing the air pressure within the "thingy".

Whew!! That story was more difficult to tell than when I remember reading it...

Fiddling with your thingy is great. Last time I did it I had to have a nice long vape afterwards ;)

I have had a similar experience. I love, love, love these tanks and the price point! I just got a new one with acrylic caps and what a great way to dress up the tanks. Thanks for a great product!

Cant talk business outside of my thread Baditude but you know where the thingy thread is.

Suppliers may not discuss their business or products outside of the E-Cigarette Suppliers Forum, Reviews of Suppliers Forum, or Commercial E-cigarette Reviews Forum

I just wanted to chime in on the fiddlin with my thingy issue.
