Just an amateur bass player here. I only play at home along with YouTube music videos, but for a few minutes I can imagine I'm a rock or jazz musician. Yamaha RBX-170 four string with Labella Deep Talkin flats and a 12" Hartke bass amp. I did the pin-striping myself.

Used to have a Fender Stratocaster Bass back in the late 80's/early 90's. Luckily, I realized my limitations on it and had fun in high school and college. After that, I moved on to more profitable activities. I did enjoy playing.

That's a new one on me. I knew Fender made the Precision and Jazz bass, but I thought the Stratocaster was a 3 pickup 6 string electric.

The thing is Eddard, I just play because I like doing it. I have had to take a break due to excess work, but every time I pick it back up, I have fun. I just don't feel that I have to be a rock star or have any real goal in music but to have fun with it. =)

I could get all metaphysical, but I won't. I will say that I feel that music is good for the soul. :)

^I don't think they make them anymore, if they did.

5-string Fender jazz + Korg r3 to get down and dirty with basses. Turning a cutoff knob makes you feel like a rock star..:)
I have the Pandora Korg PX5, too. Nasty good sounds come from using this.

:headbang:

I'm old school rock from the late 60's and early 70's. Favorite bass player was Mel Schacher from Grand Funk Railroad. Love the distortion and fuzz he could make with overdriven amps like in this soundtrack. Pure nastiness.
