I have both butterscotch and caramel candy in 4 oz bottles purchased directly from FW, as well as snickers and kailua. I can only say that I am very, very, very disappointed in them if their claims and labeling of being diacetyl free are indeed false. I am now on my eighth month smoke free and started DIY so that I could know what I'm vaping in order to vape safe. Boycott sounds viable to me! Appreciate the information collected.

Do yours say Diacetyl Free right on the bottle?

saw that, and Vapor Renu.

Also, someone might want to point this guy in the direction of Theravape's lab test

Any diy'ers have any suggestions for Michael? I have contacted him but I'm empty with suggestions on a caramel candy. I don't think tfa is on the persons list. I could be wrong. I don't vape caramel so I don't know. I do have a bottle of FA caramel but never touched it.

while that's all great for going forward, it's no comfort for those that have been vaping copious amounts over the last few years under the impression it was diacetyl free:( It's been a few weeks since they've been notified and no ones heard anything?

USP Kosher Grade Flavoring? Wording on the bottle labels from 08-13 batches I received appear to be the same as this batch from 05-13

Flavor West's website is back online. And they continue marketing products to vapors without disclosing their use of contents having known and serious inhalation risk. They requested 30-45 days to address -- twenty-two have now elapsed.
Our next step is to contact resellers.
I did contact one so far. We need to generate a list. I am referencing DIY vendors.

Excellent. And, while mostly in place, collect remaining balance of legal evidence. Do we need to do these in private? I can set up a private and secure location if appropriate.

What's the one thing you really don't want in your life? That would be a multitude of really irate ex-smokers.
Yes, please include me if possible. :)

Funny thing is Google will pop up info that is older.
View this link: It still states diacetyl free. I forgot how to do a screen shot.

if you're using windows, just go to start menu and search for "snipping tool"

I would just save the entire page as "web-complete".

So what you think the odds are about this flavor containing diacetyl?

HOLY Fn WOAH

If that is true it is a very big concern. Who would do this?

70% EG....

It's not even really any cheaper than PG, a few pennies. Honestly, and maybe Ima sound a little conspiracy theoryish here, but maybe: an effort to discredit ejuice producers?

That someone would do this on purpose, just to make money... or something... is beyond reason.

Conspiracy theory-ish? More like conspiracy realistic-ish! Throughout history, the amount of times "Big Interests" have poisoned the products of those they want to discredit & control (with no concern over end-users) is dismal - it's not that uncommon (and not all that difficult to find/validate).

It is terrible this was found - but it does seem (to us) very unlikely that it would be intentional (what possible reason could there be for a manufacturer/vendor using EG, eh?). Mislabeling is not that uncommon - and with some companies creating juices by the vat, it's not like 'a mistake' would just be a gallon or two - it could have been several 55 gallon drums or 'pallets of gallons' blended throughout many different flavor-combos.

We agree - whatever the reason, it's beyond reason!
