What fillers are you talking about?

My LR 808s I am awaiting should vape better than anything else at 3.7V in the AFS.:D

I saw another vendor selling LR 510 cartomizers but was sold out. Resistance is 1.6 - 1.7 ohms. Lisa what is the resistance of the LR 808s and where are you getting them from?

  1. I'm not doing 510 cartomisers, I don't see the point.
  2. Not prepared to reveal my resistances in public, specially not before I have got them in and tested them.
  3. China :D

I was just asking since people in the USA can't order from you. Thanks anyway.
No worries, I can't reveal resistances of stuff that I've ordered before it's actually in because:
  1. China rarely send exactly what you ask for
  2. Competitors jump on the bandwagon and I lose trade.
You can't order from the wholesalers that I order from anyway so it's best to see what Rob comes up with in the US for GG customers.

Been using the same carto for over a week now and still going strong. The taste and throat hit are much better than the 901 IMHO. They simply work amazingly well in the AFS. I will be happy to try the 510 but for now I will stick to what is working well for me. And Emonty, I get the same kind of performance you are. Just watched the video and was matching your vapor production.

Mine went for a couple days, it never actually popped, but it started to have a really tight draw.

I opened it up and the the polyfill was filled with black gunk. Not sure what it was, unless some of the poly got burned, as I was HV vaping.

Anyone have an experience like that?

no problem with the carto I have been using, still going strong for 5 days. Don't vape higher then 6V!

Bristow, Ok.
waffle, smoke an i6 at 7,4 volts with 2x18650 batteries!!. To me, the combination of i6 at 7,4 is the best vaping experiense so far

That is a great combo but I only use it for special situations. It is very long. I wanted to try the cartomizer but I can't make a hole in one without tearing it up. My husband tried to do one and he destroyed it too. I hope Rob will sell them with holes in them already. :):):)

My advice is to make a slight indentation with a cutting tool and cut a slight dent or groove in the side before you use the drill.

I also suspect the carto is a lot more forgiving in where you put the hole. Next carto will be 6mm i/a/w imeo's advice to see if it will help get very last bit of juice out of the tank. Good luck.

I got one drilled but then it wouldn't screw on the connector. I think that I better get someone to do this for me. :confused:

Update on the AFS V2 with carto's:

1.) Any (901) Cartomizer will work perfectly :p
2.) be sure to prime (minimum 10 drops) the empty carto prior to use it in the AFS!!! (to prevent burning taste and/or burning the wick permanently). Once the carto is burned, you can put it in the bin!
3.) the hole can be made between 6 mm and 8 mm counting from the bottom of the carto;
4.) first make a dent in the carto and then make the 1.2 mm hole (easier to make a hole);
5.) don't close the CR ring while vaping leave it wide open;
6.) no primal draws needed (so don't close the CR ring and inhale) to prevent overfeeding;

What sort of life is everyone getting out of their cartomizers at 3.7 and 6 volts with the AFS?

And does it make a difference between the two voltages?

Yeah, they're cheap and relatively easy to alter, I know. But:

1. If the consensus is that a carto at 6v will give out on the 7th-or whatever-day, I'd rather just pop in a new one in the morning at home instead of risking it going out on me 80 miles from home.

2. And if 3.7v will allow me to get drastically more life out of one, this along with not being so battery/charger dependent would be enough to justify going 3.7 on them despite the lowered vape.
