    1st point... very true

    Every point... embarassing.

Every person here has been around stacked, explosive, acid filled batteries our entire lives.

    Car batteries... stacked and explosive.
Everything battery powered in the 80s... stacked and explosive.
Every flashlight prior to the last few years. .. stacked and explosive... and used for bludgeoning. ETA... In the name of public safety
Lithium metal cased cells... explosive and stacked in a device we don't think twice about in nearly every home.

Lipos... get real hot and gassy, pop exactly like mylar balloons and flare up. Not much more potential danger than an ego...

I have a vtc4 I can spare. I might just see if I can't vent it for you like the lipo youtube sensations with a car battery... we'll see

    Interesting

    No explosion

And no sign of the cause

How would I know about the explosion sensationalism?

    First hand experience....

P.S. purchased from the same retailer as the one in your vid... hobbypartz

It was shorted the same way the AW IMR was.

Confine that venting inside a mod!
The quantity of the gasses vented is the difference.

    Have we learned nothing?

    NEVER CONFINE VENTING

    that's how you make explosives.

    Doesn't matter the chemistry.

I Don't want to EVER see anyone get Hurt when a Battery Fails (well... Maybe the Rag Man - but not Too Seriously).

But if any Good can come out of a Mod Blowing up, then it is to Remind People that a Mod that Can't Vent can be Very Dangerous.

And to that person I say "good luck with the rest of your short lived life"

Yeah... I don't think Most people understand just how much force can be Generated inside a Mod if the Venting Battery Gasses have Nowhere to go.

That is why I said Earlier in this Thread that I hope the Guy in Ramona is OK.
