Any thoughts on Alien Vapor?

In fact, it's not a bad idea to do it anyways on any new vendor you have not tried before. Search here. See what people think, BEFORE you buy. You will get the good an bad, but typically some good advice. My 2 cents.

I've learned practically everything I know so far about vaping from ECF, in fact, I'm here RIGHT NOW asking about it, so . . . what was your point again? LOL

CJ, you inadvertently stepped into one of the touchiest subjects around. Folks LOVE them some Boba's Bounty, it is arguably the most iconic and beloved of juices among those in the know, whether deserved or not. It's technically a tobacco, but honestly it tasted more to me like graham cracker. Pretty good, not my favorite, but in my top 10. That said, Alien Visions can be a pain to deal with. The demand for the juice is so much higher than they are able to keep up with that they only keep their online store open long enough to sell the amount they can produce for the day, then shut it down. From what I understand it's gotten easier to get hold of, but when I first started vaping in June it was quite the rite of passage for a vaper to actually get a hold of some genuine Boba's Bounty. It has a rabid following that is VERY bitter about Alien Vapor pitching the knock-off, as you have no doubt noticed here. I am a little curious how many of those folks kicking up a stink about the knock-off have a K100 or Sigelei or one of those fasttech Nemesis clones......

it all started with Boba's Bounty ... a lot of people love the original ... word spread... then Alien Vapors came along and decided they would hijack the brand.

I have read Alien Vapors have even applied to trademark the name Boba's Bounty ... and trademarks are not cheap.

What is obvious IMO ... whoever is behind Alien Vapors ... has money.

It's capitalism. You have to own a brand name for it to be hijacked. Creating a brand name without any protection is just naive. I don't find it surprising at all and wouldn't be surprised if others start using the brand name as a generic term. The original creator should be honored that his juice is so popular people are using it as a generic term for a flavor, sort of like styrofoam (99% of what you call styrofoam isn't ACTUALLY styrofoam brand).

I totally agree with that logic. I'll probably end up buying some of the original now. I just won't be able to get it out of my head until I can compare the two and see for myself if what everyone is saying is right.

I would never order those flavors. Sounds gross to begin with. I like how Alien Vapors allows you to request extra flavor though. If I like the mint I'll probably order a bigger batch of 36 mg with extra flavoring just to use it to mix with stuff.

Extra flavor doesn't mean the juice is going to taste good.
I've got 6 bottles from ECBlend- all with 'double extra flavor' and guess what.......you can barely taste any flavor in all of them.
There's another site (can't recall the name) but the same thing- extra flavor taste like no flavor.

95% of my juices are 100% VG so that could be why.

What I don't understand is if Boba's Bounty became THAT popular, iconic even, then how come Alien Visions can't afford a lawyer to protect the brand name. I would think if that much of it was sold he must have made some money, no?

Alien Visions is much better at juice making. Alien Vapors is much better at capitalism, albeit using dishonorable (but not illegal) tactics. AVE could sue if they wanted to, but it seems their current level of business is more than they can handle anyway.

Let us know how you like it. If you want to try the BB everyone raves about, go to AVE.

ECF used to have a great search engine powered by google that would take you to the top hit of anything you were looking for, starting by the OP title. Now, it seems you have really use the advanced search or wade though thousands of hits, you then have to further decipher.

I might be wrong, but with Google, you get whatever comes up and it's usually determined by your cookies plus whoever has the best marketing.

Edit: okay, yeah, go to google and add ecf.

It's really pretty good juice. It's one of the ones that really gets better after a week or two of steeping though. It's THICK though, so be sure whatever you are using it in wicks pretty well.

See now I haven't tried the high VG vape yet. The Boba knock off I have coming is the MAX VG so it's possible I won't even be able to taste it that much, which is good since I'm not too fond of tobacco flavors.

I wouldn't sweat it too much, in my experience most "tobacco" flavors don't really taste much like tobacco.

Please don't insult my intelligence. When I get my juice I'll make up my mind and I assure you, the fact that they are selling a juice that has the same name as someone else's juice will not come into the equation. It will be whether or not I like the juice and like their service. So far it's been so far so good. I didn't just base it on the quality of the website but on the quality of the variety of choices and the fact that they serviced my order correction on a Sunday also plays a big part. I'll make up my own mind eventually but just thought someone might have something say other than about that one juice flavor out of their dozens of other juice flavors.

Someone asked if anyone has tried the fake BB. I have. It's not BAD, bad. It's just meh. If anyone has had Indigo's "Eastwood" or "OOHRAH!" mixed with BWB, but only done very, very, very badly, that's what it kind of tastes like. At least to me. Graham cracker and coffee done badly.
