No offense to the older vapers, they have been a huge help to me getting started lol. I was just curious about the demographics of under the age of 30 people who vape. I've met about 8 or 9 people in my real life who vape and they were all very long term smokers, who were much older than myself, who have either cut down or quit altogether. It seems vaping and ecigs in general just haven't really caught on with the younger crowd.

I wonder if younger smokers just dont feel the terribly ill effects of smoking yet so they just dont care or if they have an image conscious agenda and vaping a 7 inch long advanced pv just isn't as cool as puffing on a cancer stick lol.

Thoughts?

I'm 23 btw.

in a box.
19 and have smoked analogs for 5 of those years. Vaping is so much more better than analogs. Why smoke when you can v
vape wonderful flavors.

Whenever I vape with my group of friends who smoke and are around my age they seem to never let me enjoy my own APV because they usually take it from me and keep it to vape. I have met a lot of young people who really want to purchase a e-cig

Im 23 had my first cigarette at 9, ya I know, spare the lectures. But here at my unit (us navy) there is about 30 people in there 20s that are using ecigs. Alot of people just can't afford cigs anymore or doing it for health reasons. And I am constantly telling people about em. I have a big mouth and very persuasive. I've converted 6 people in last week to ecigs. Not just dabbling in em. Im talking full starter kit conversions lol

I'm 24. I started vaping in 2010. I had been a smoker for 8 years.
I've never seen a stranger vaping. The only person I saw that I didn't personally convert was an older coworker (50s+), and I've known another person in that age range who used vaping to quit smoking.

I've known a couple people closer to my age who tried it, but it didn't stick.

I don't think it's that it's uncommon in our age range, I just think it's uncommon.

Awesome! lol I was beginning to think I was the only one out there, I just never see the younger crowd in real life vaping. Anytime I pull out my APV and start toking on it at work, I get flack from other young smokers for it lol.

Ignore them. Politely say that they don't look at all cool puffing away on something that will inevitably kill them. Dying young isn't at all cool.
