Nothing special, sounds impressive, but you nailed it.

It's only the most technologically advanced PV to date, by far. Completely computer controlled, programmable feed system (touch to manually feed, or simultaneous feed/fire with customizable flow rate), touch driven interface with "buttons" like your touch screen cell phone, juice scavenging (no more juice leaks or wasted juice), built in USB passthrough/charger, boost circuitry gives the same vape regardless of battery charge level, pump draws next to no power meaning it won't negatively effect battery life... the list goes on and on, but I've got to head out the door to work before it gets any later.

When it comes to PV's, different strokes for different folks, but frankly this thing is impressive as hell.

I got on the list back in January or February and was going to be all over it but I kinda lost interest in it as time went on. I think I’m just content with what I have finally.

Glad to hear you've found satisfaction with the devices you have, and thanks again for mentioning the Eclipse when we were talking a few weeks ago otherwise I probably would have missed it. The Darwin came back in stock a few days before the Eclipse was released and I almost ordered it, but decided to hold off a bit and I'm really glad that I did. :)

Werd I am order #24. If I do not like it I am sure I can get the majority of my money back. I have spent $300 on stupider things ;)

You isolated my post out of context. I merely answered "wood's question", outside of the pump and VV what is special? ... and the answer is nothing. All the electronic mumbo jumbo of which the majority is found in most electronic PVs, with the exception of a few things e.g touch screen technology.

You are right wrt different strokes for different folks. The development of this particular PV took too long to come out, some of its unique features are now out dated.

Ok, so take away the pump and the touch screen tech and there still isn't another PV on the market that can touch the Eclipses feature-set when you get right down to it. Others come close, but are still no match. Then you add back the pump and touch screen tech and it simply blows everything else out of the water. :)

What I don't get is 100 people spending $175 of their hard-earned money on VAPORWARE.

The idea of people jumping at the prviledge of laying a considerable amount of money for something that won't exist (if they're lucky, that is) for another 4-6 weeks just blows my mind.

They have been promoting this thing since LAST SEPTEMBER. That's 11 months from announcement to (supposed) delivery.

Hype works, I guess!

Sure, they've been developing it for 11 months, probably more; but going from the idea stage, to R&D, alpha and beta testing, etc all takes time. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was this.

At this point we've seen videos of the assembled devices, we've heard of beta testers, we've seen video reviews, so it's really no longer vaporware because the device has passed the planning stages and is now actually in production.

4-6 weeks of waiting I can handle. Now, would I have laid out the coin 11 months ago with no end in sight? Absolutely not! At this point though we're so close I can taste the vapor already. :)

thats a joke this mod does nothing fancy , lol even the darwin has more impressive features , the eclipse is not smart it just pumps for u and has a ridiculous amount of controls and pres 3 times for this and then 4 times for that , most of the "features" are protection features , and then the fact it looks like a bar of soap

What exacty does the Darwin do that is not featured in the EQ? Nothing... I can think of. I was just about to order a Darwin after trying out it and the Provari. Granted the EQ makes the Provari menu look simple but I do not plan to be swapping out juices too much on the EQ. It will be loaded with Humming Bird Nectar or WTF "The Joose". So, once I "punch up" in my voltage that will be that for at least 6ml. Also you will always have a nice wet vape and a recycling system so no wasted juice. PLUS a cleaning cycle! LOL

the darwin calculates everything for you you pick a voltage which is essentially the most acurate way to hit your sweet spot
after you pick your wattage it automatically calculates the resistance of your atty you choose to use and automatically sets the voltage to what it needs to be with the resistance atty u have to achieve the desire wattage , the eclipse does nothing even close to this thats a smart mod but i dont like the looks of it unfortunately
i want another ali'i or a reo as i dont mind pumping my own bottle
