I still do. I didn't start vaping with the intention of quitting cigarettes, I started because I went to an out of town conference and knew I couldn't smoke in my hotel. I found I really liked vaping, and kept it up more for the enjoyment than anything else. I thought I would save money, but I've bought so much vape gear I am so far not saving any! Now that I have the mods I really like though my only expense is maintenance and liquids....so the savings may start. Some days I still smoke and some days I don't. Just depends on my mood I guess.

been vaping since 05-13 and I still have a ciggie with my morning coffie

was at 2 PAD for 40 yrs.

Yep! I refuse to feel guilty for still smoking some....after all, it's the cigarettes we don't smoke that count! I have found my health has improved even with cutting back on the cigarettes . Also my sense of smell and taste, I am sure if I quit smoking totally that it will get even better.

We started vaping at Christmas, and I never quit till the end of Feb, my wife the middle of March. toward the end we were down to 2 or 3 analogs a day. One day I got up and it was cold and windy outside (we have never smoked in the house) I just didn't want to go out so I didn't smoke, I vaped and I haven't looked back since. My wife being the thrifty lady that she is kept smoking until the last of our existing analogs ran out then said no more. Even while she smoked the last of them and I was vaping I didn't crave on at all. It's different for everybody. When you are ready you will know it.

I bought a Halo Triton in order to quit smoking. The day it arrived in the mail was the day I smoked my last analog. With a decent device and good liquids in hand, I just knew this was the path for me.

I gave my brother a Triton starter kit. He took a few days to completely transition.

I gave a family friend another Triton starter kit. After 4 months, she's down to 1 analog every few days. She's ecstatic, and my wife and I encourage her. I expect her to quit completely within a few weeks, if that.

Everyone's different.

Unfortunately I can't have a cigarette here and there. I have to stop completely or I just jump back up to constantly smoking. Unlike a lot of people on this site I still love smoking. It doesn't gross me out. I love the smell. The taste. I miss it. But I know what's best for me and won't touch it

How long have you vaped exclusively before trying a cigg? Myself I waited a full month and took a drag off a cigg. it tasted just fine on the inhale.. But the exhale was AWFUL!
just curious how long you quit before trying one..

I have quit for a week or two at a time and always went back to cigarettes. Even if the taste irritates me or the exhale burns, I know my personality. So addictive. So I'm just not gonna touch them. At this point I haven't touched a cigarette in a week and a half. I'm dedicated this time. I can't touch one. I also bought myself a pair of high end speakers. My roommate is holding me accountable. If I smoke I HAVE to return them.

I haven't had a cig for a little over a week now. Been vaping for maybe 3. At first I think part of it is physiological. I smoked maybe a half pack a day and a little more on the weekends for the past few years. But for me I associate smoking with activities like eating, drinking, etc. I like sitting out on the back deck early in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee and a cig but now I still do all that except I vape instead. At first I still smoked cigs but they were fewer and fewer. And actually went out and bought a pack when I thought my vape setup was bad. I bought an evod glass tank and didn't realize they were fickle. Mine flooded and eventually leaked out on me while driving and I nearly pitched it. Anyway I think everybody smokes and vapes at first. Just helps to ease the transition.

tried an ego on a saturday last June, was totaly blown away by how good it was (I was easily pleased back then!)so decided that after the sunday night ,the romance between me & golden virginia was over, however sunday morning I still had over half a packet & as I had paid for it ,I wasn't going to throw it away.By the end of sunday night I was the same colour as the packet ...green!Monday onwards was vape only & I've never looked back, though have to say that without all the info &advice given, here on ecf ,things might have been a bit different.
And just to add ,if people on here still smoke & vape ,its no big deal, your'e still cutting down on the cigs by alternating with vaping.
