Anyone try ordering from Fasttech since the shipping ban?

Mine they could have made it easy and put "wire", but instead they put the sku number, the gauge, and then kanthal wire.

I think wire is pretty safe because it has so many uses outside of vaping.

My order was placed on April-26 & shipped on around May-17 via "China Post" but I stipulated "USPS".

fasttech posts an image of the package on your account & decribes the contents as "metal tube"!!

Hope it makes it ASAP!!

Dang it - "metal tubes" sounds much better for Customs!? (unless of course one is known to have ulterior motives).

I dunno, I'm thinking customs knows better. In regard to potential danger, a "metal tube" sounds more dangerous to me than an vape tank. Hmm, pipe bomb good, vape tank bad? Yeah, let the pipe bomb through, lol.

Someone mentioned on ECF not to long ago that "metal tubes" could raise some eyebrows. A pipe bomb is a metal tube.

Just me but I don't think it matters what it's "labeled" as to customs. Just guessing drugs and other prohibited items being smuggled are not being listed as drugs (or what they are) on any labels... X-Ray machines don't read labels. FT has already changed a lot of their practices yet packages are being held up in their own country, China. Only time will tell the real effect on shipping vaping products to the US after the vape mail ban goes into effect, right now it's business as usual.

In my opinion, they label things however they have to, to get it out of the country since up until they start actually banning the mail of vape products in the US, the higher restriction is likely in the country of origin. My ex from Singapore used to tell me all the time that they'd have to label stuff all whacky just to mail out/receive stupid stuff like gum or sex products - which is outlawed in their country.

.....I've got tons of coils, mesh, wick and similar stuff coming... and some lightbulbs, because I'm a flake:

Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Oh dear ! I also liked the look of those bulbs and ordered a pair. They arrived pretty quickly. That's the end of the good news. I plugged them in and awaited the soft, dancing glow to fill the room with ambience. Nope. They basically flickered on and off like a neon tube just about to die. Good job there was no one around who suffers from epilepsy.
Still - they were cheap.

note to self - next time shopping for vaping gear remember to buy light bulbs.
