Question to you A7 users. Have you been able to spin the posts at all? Mine are set up with the holes pointing in in completely different directions, making for odd coil shapes and long 'legs'. Not at all set up like the Chalice posts where the holes line up for an evenly centered coil.

I half heartedly tried to spin one but it didn't budge and I didn't want to force it too much.

Does yours look like this?

i thought it weird at first, but after i made the coil it made sense... maybe you just fed the coil through the wrong side?

and yes the posts do come out... take a paperclip feed it through the hole and spin the post, but if you manage to snap one i am not liable...

No, mine don't look like that. One is roughly in that orientation, the other is clocked so that the wire hole is almost directly facing the air hole/center post.

Will try spinning it this weekend.

maybe it was overtightened during assembly, a small twist with the method i suggested SHOULD set it right...

Hope all goes smoothly.

Lost track on this thread for a while

Has anyone taken down the 'feed' nipple, sealed off the air holes and drilled a new airhole on the shell to make this ERA style?

Not that it needs it, I maintain that this thing kicks azz, and the gurgle/draw is a nice change of pace from the ERA, which simply doesn't work like a 'regular' atomizer

I have sealed one hole to make a tighter draw and for me the draw is great now but no I haven't sealed both holes and drilled a new one up top. I do like the A7 very much. I'm still on the original coil (3 weeks on it) that came with it and I'm looking forward to it dying and trying one of my own.

the only thing I don't like about the A7 stock is how sensitive it is to over squonking, as the juice can run down to the sides of the chamber instead of just back into the bottle

I do set my coil low though, which makes an oversquonk turn into a massive flood from the point of view of the coil anyway

I'll try and pull it up and see if it just wicks out of the chamber like a mini CE2 ;)

I've had my A7 with juice even to the top of the feed tube inside the A7 and its not flooded and vapes well. I can vape a long time before I needed to squonge. I have been blind squonking only as I found it was really hard to gauge the 'push" with a regular squonk.

blind squonk for me as well.

I have been using the wick loop around the feed tube like amnate suggested with the era. I have experienced zero flooding or leaking with my a7 or era using this setup. If anything I have had to squonk way more than usual to keep it wet. This setup has been fantastic for me. :)

if you get bored please link me to this post? if I get bored I"ll search!

EDIT: I see that was an ERA suggestion. Well I have zero isses on the ERA. But I'm guessing for the A7 you're wrapping it around the nipple?

Yesterday I made my first coil. I got my A7 a little over 3 weeks ago. I have been using the A7 with the original coil and have been satisfied with it but I started itching to try one of my own coils so I took out the old one. I used 32 gauge kanthal and 2.5mm silicon wick. I doubled the wick over and did 4-5 wraps of the wire.

I stuffed a lot of the wick down into the bottom of the A7. I had to trim some off because I had made the wick a bit long. The wick is a lot larger than the wick that came with the A7. ITs hitting great, The fatter wick combined with having more of it in the bottom has made the vaper increase, slightly less hot and the sqounking is even easier than before. I am using a Kicked Grand...me happy.

I guess it's hit or miss with the fit on the VVW. Mine is a miss. Doesn't fit. Not even that close really. Bummer

Im sorry to hear that. The A7s fit on both the wifes and my VV Woodvil perfectly, with a little room left over.
The ERAs on the other hand arent even close, those are strictly for the VV Grands.
