I've had my Aspire for about two weeks now. I'm on my 2nd head now because I got that awful burnt rubber taste with the first head after a few days. Now my 2nd head is starting to get it too. I love the draw and the vapor production of my Aspire but I can't figure out where the burnt rubber taste is coming from. Too much chain vaping? It has occurred a couple of times when I first started using it again after leaving it alone for hours. Do I need to take a dry hit first in those situations? I guess I'll clean a 3rd head and get it ready because the burnt rubber taste is awful!

Are you possibly overtightening the coil or the tank base to your PV? I wonder if you could be either choking the airflow off or even the juice flow to the wick? You may want to try taking a few dry hits to see if it gets any better. I do not put the coil into the base too tightly. Just snug.

When you turn the tank on it's side and then upright again, do you see air bubbles rise? Kind of thinking out loud here. If the wick is dry, you will get a burnt rubber taste.

Good luck.

I put a couple drops into the atomizer to prime- works great
I am wondering if the people getting the burnt taste from these are not getting juice to the wick. I put a clean coil in mine the other day and not thinking to let it sit for a few or take a few pulls from the tip to get juice to the wick, I took a draw and got a nasty burnt taste. It was easily remedied by taking a few draws without activating my mod. It did make a light bulb go off as to what may be happening with the few that are reporting this taste though.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Salemgold. Maybe I am tightening the coil into the base too tightly. I'm used to EVODS and Protanks-Those coils need to be tight. I'll keep experimenting. I really did love them the first tank or so.

Mine is lasting about a week before I change it, not throwing the old one, clean with hot water and then soaking in vodka for 24 hours.

I agree with Nailz. I do rinse mine under hot running water about every 3 days. I have not needed to soak any yet but, I am sure that day will come.

Salem I've heard restricted air flow can cause wicking problems...When air flow is restricted negative pressure in the tank is lost...The Pro-Vari was singled out as not playing well with the Aspire due to the tight fit between them...I'll see here shortly as an Aspire is heading this way and the Pro-Vari is my go to got too...

Last week I added a Innokin VV3 running a 16....Small Puff Daddy right there....I love it!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday Innokin again....MVP 2...Bet your bottom dollar I had the Aspire in mind when I purchased that...So far all is well...Even with a Pro Tank 2....

Yep, I know another person here that had an airflow issue using the Vivi Aspire and his Provari. I don't know exactly why but, I like the Aspire Vivi Nova least of what I have. I like the Aspire Davide best and the Aspire Ego ET second best.

LD, do let us know what you think once you try them. The difference was night and day between the Kanger stuff and aspire for me.

ETA- And darn it! I keep looking at the MVP 2 but the fact that the battery is not replaceable has been a turn off for me.

Salem the non-removable battery is what I like the best...The little VV3 has great run time...MVP 2....I haven't run it down yet...both accept my cell phone charger....

Yes but, once the battery is shot you pretty much just have to toss it, right?

Yes that would be correct....

I have the Glassomizer and Vivi coming with 2 packs of coils.....Likely I'll add the small one as well but I'm burning thru my 16 stock first....So I look for the Davide Aspire and only find it at GotVapes and in the UK....GV looks familiar so I try and log on...It works so I look at my purchase history....That's where those dang Fluxomizers came from!!! What a bust that was....just try and fill it!!!! While I'm smiling at that the dang Davide Aspire sells out.....You got any other source stateside?????

I'm with you Salem. I was ready to pull the trigger on a MVP 2. But I can't see spending money like that on something that is going to die when the battery dies. Or even when the battery is half dead. Crazy that they did that.

If it lasts a year, it comes out to about 11 cents a day. Call me crazy, but that seems like a good deal.
