I agree Nikki, for me the Aqua V2 just shot to the top of the flavor ladder! even beating the Rose V2  Aqua V2 > Rose V2 > Heron > Modded Kayfuns > SquapeR. i'll see if this stays the same for me after I get the kayfun V4 and Taifun GT2 :2cool:

Yup, I prefer the flavor production of the Aqua V2 over the Rose, and you how much I liked the Rose. I love the Heron too I just wished it had more air flow, but the flavor is excellent. My Aqua V2 by Footoon should be here tomorrow and I am happy, happy .. I plan to marry it to the SXmini

She looks sweet Nikki! Looks like maybe 9 wraps 28 gauge 2.0 mm? I'm trying to land the build on mine - will need to dig through this thread a bit. The first attempt was a complete wash due to the twisty positive post (oops). Second build is working OK, but I'm getting some popping and juice build up in the drip tip. Any tips are most appreciated! Happy New Year folks.

Oh and what drip tip are you using? It looks awesome.

I changed the oring for the afc and now no wobbling. I love this atty, I hate to say it but I think it has replaced my kayfuns until a new kayfun comes out at least.

Anybody know what oring size was used to stop the wobble? Mine definitely wobbles a bit. There's no leak and I don't think it will actually come loose, but if there's an easy fix with a larger oring it sounds worth trying.

Very close hun .. its 27gauge with a 9/10 wrap on 2mm screwdriver, and performing brilliantly. Same build that I did for the clone when I first got it. I meant to mention that you need to tighten up both the positive and negative posts out of the box, a lesson a I learned with the clone as well. It seems that on both Aqua's that the posts were not snugged out of the box. So for anyone who gets either the authentic or the clone I recommend tightening both posts out of the box.

I do notice more spit back with the authentic then I had with the clone, not sure why though. The spit back happens more with a full tank, now that the juice level has gone down some its not happening. If I find an absolute remedy for the spit back then I will let you :)

I love this drip tip for the Aqua V2, it plays really well to the clean lines of the body. Simple yet classy looking :) Here is a link to the DT http://focalecig.com/Product/B....pcs-510-AcrylicStainless-Steel-Drip-TipSilver-22598

Not sure .. I don't have any wobble in mine, but that could be due to where I have the air flow adjusted too (half open) ? Look for the thickest oring in the pack?

Ah close! So she's coming out to around 0.6 ohms then I assume. That seems like a sweet spot for the Aqua's although in Footoon's FB video's he mentions that 0.3 ohms is doable, so there's a nice range there.

I tried a 2.4 mm 9/8 to see how she vaped, and it's working pretty well. I'm more accustomed to wicking 2.4's since this is my goto build for the GT's. I borked the placement of the leads through the posts (again) so one of the coils had extra stretch/tension in it. Learning though - I think the next build will be pretty darn nice. Getting less spit on the 2.4 mm, but still some. And yes - I noticed the same thing that the juicy tip disorder subsides as the juice level lowers.

Yeah, it's great looking. The link didn't work, but I found it searching for the product #. Classy!

I'm using one of the Taifun drip tips now. This one:
Taifun Drip-Tip "gerade" - SmokerStore GmbH - Ihr Spezialist für e-Zigaretten und Zubehör in NRW

She looks good except for the Taifun logo being a bit misplaced. ;)

It seems to come and go on mine. I have a feeling that oring is moving around a bit. One of the times I took the tank section off it was all jostled around and I had to re-seat it. I may try switching it out with one of the spares, but it's working for now.

You are correct dear, .66 on the SXmini :) I think that .5-.7 is the sweet spot on the Aqua V2, I feel like I get the best flavor in this range. I have rebuilt the clone to 1.1, using the same eliquid and the vape wasn't as lush for me, still good, but lower than .8 is better. :)

Glad that your current build is working better for you .. now you just need to sort out your occasional wobble and spitting and you will be good as brand new money. What do you have the Aqua mounted to?

Indeed! Thanks for your help. It has helped reduce some of my R&D time. :)

I've been mostly running the aqua on my hana dna 30 clone box. The accuracy and extra power in the SX mini makes it far more enjoyable, but the mini stays reserved for my Taifun GT II. She is the love of my life and has not yet been displaced by this new darling. But the aqua has so much potential. ;)

Ive been running a .27ohm 24ga, was thinking of trying a 26ga build but this build has been rocking so good

I know you how feel. My 26 gauge 2.4 mm build has become my goto for most things. That said you're making me really curious to try a .3 ohm build. I think I need to grab a spool of 24 gauge and give it a shot. What diameter are you using for your build?

Well I finally pulled out my original Ni200 build that was working so wonderfully.

I went with my usual Kanthal build I have always done with the Aqua v1 so I could compare them. I must say the v2 can keep up with wicking as good if not better. I've been vaping at 40w on my VF. And flavor is noticeably better.

Just a dual 28g, 2mm ID at 0.5 ohms.

I want to say 2.5mm but it could be 2, I dont remember. When I go to refill I'll look at the wraps and size. Ive found I really like 35w on Powerful with this build and juice. The initial 45w brings out the caramel hard on the beginning of the inhale and vanilla and custard toward the end.

So you liked the Ni200 eh? It was ok, but I did find that I got a little bit of a metallic tastes to my vape with it.... I find the wicking on the V2 to be awesome, right down to the last drop of juice and I love that. But I was also able to vape the V1 the same though. I feel like the V2 is a drier vape than the V1, and a little easier to build on as well. I need to get my V1 up and running again, and so some side by side comparison vaping myself. :)

Thanks so much :) Luckily I had done some DT shopping, so right after I built this built I was in the bag trying on new tips. :) I agree, I think this tip is perfect for the Aqua. The one you have on yours is handsome too, gives the whole tank a different line .. more structured. Isn't it neat the way a DT can make or break an atty?

That drip tip matches the tank better than any other combo I have seen, very nice. It's perfect.

I use a modish metals 316, but need to get one like yours..

I agree the v2 is drier. Definitely easier to build.

I don't get a metallic taste from Ni200. I do go through the process of cleaning it and ever so lightly torching it. Then I work hardened it. And I do gently glow the coils.

Frankly I just prefer Kanthal but Ni200 has some advantages, mainly builds stay cleaner longer.

I was enjoying the powerful mode on a different build (1.2) set to 16.5W, and I really like getting that punch at the beginning of the draw. And I like how the SXmini accomplishes this without creating any sense of a burnt hit .. at least not that I have experienced yet.
