I haven't tried out just side air holes & actually idk if I ever will. Im getting the best flavor with bottom holes wide open & side afc about halfway open. I'm definitely a flavor chaser, clouds are cool but completely secondary to me, but I like having the option if I wanna blow a big cloud to get on my wifes nerves.

There is a learning curve for coil building on the aqua2. I have now put my 2nd build on and love it, initially I didn't understand having post holes all the way around but now I take advantage of them, I build so that my leads go in straight but come out the side holes so that they don't get in the way of the coil on the opposite side, I'm guessing that this was the intention for having post holes all the way around.

Hey guys, just looking for some build ideas. I've never been a fan of dual coils but my first build on this was a dual. I did a 1.2 OHM coil and was finding it wasn't wicking fast enough. I then took that out and dropped in my usual single coil at 1.5 Ohm. The single coil build started to flood pretty quickly. Have you guys tried a single coil build? Maybe I don't understand how the juice flow works but in single coil mode, aren't the four holes where the juice feeds all still open?

Working from my experience with the Aqua V1 I pack the side wick channels really tight. I get as much wick in there as I can, while still allowing the tank to screw on easily. I have done 4 or 5 different builds to date and have not experienced any leaking at all.

I have not done a single coil, but you would still have to have wick material in each of the four wick channels would you not? If you are leaving any of them without wicking material I would think you would be leaking like crazy.

Doghouse...can you post pics of the build or give us more detail (gauge, wraps and ID) and what mod you are running. Mech or regulated. Watts or volts if regulated. Type of wicking material.

Look back at my pictorial and see how I taper the wick ends to allow better wicking.

You'd have to plus two juice channels pretty well to run single coil in this.

Thanks sedge. I will try to post a pic tonight but my dual coil was 8 wraps of 30 gauge kanthal, 2 mm Id, wicked with KGD. I was using it on a rDNA at about 13 Watts but I think at 1.2 ohms the rDNA was just giving me the battery voltage. I think I will give dual coils another shot and try to wick differently based on your pics to get better wicking.

Ok so after giving up on the dual coil build, I got this thing humming in single coil mode. Here's what I did. Plugged one of the airholes with the extra supplied screw. Built a single coil at 1.5 ohms, 29 gauge, 8 wraps, 1.5 ID. I wicked it with cotton. I basically cut the 2 tails of the wick into 4 tails. Stuffed two on the opposing side channels and two in the channels on the side where the coil is.

The build seems to be wicking amazing and producing fantastic flavour and vapor. For whatever reason, the dual coil build wasn't producing nearly as much vapor and the hits, while not dry, definitely didn't feel saturated; I was also getting a really harsh throat which I suspect is a result of semi-saturated wicks. In any case, seems to be working amazing now. Will update if something changes (i.e. flooding issues).

Thanks everyone for your input.

Anything new to report on this atty sedge or anybody else? Has anybody else checked the dripper kit out? I've pretty much found my sweet spot on my first build so I've been sticking with it, I think its 7 wraps of 26 gauge kanthal, coming out to .45 ohms. I could definitely go lower in dripper mode. The only problem I've found with QC is the short hybrid pin did not come with threads so I can't use it, although I haven't needed it, I have mostly been using this atty in hybrid mode on my gp paps and my anatolian mod, the standard pin works fine with those 2 mods but still thought I'd mention and see if anybody else has this problem.

I've been using the original build with Ni200 and loving it. I'm too busy the past 2 weeks with work to try any new builds.

Your reports has given me incentive though. I know I won't see light for another 5 days at least.

Cool sedge, I've been extremely busy at work also. It be awesome if you keep me posted if you try anything new with the aqua2. One more thing, I see you've been using your aqua2 with a Vapor Flask DNA40, just curious if the coils still get gunked up when controlling the temperature, with the aqua v2 or any other attys? Thanks in advance!!!

How is this compared to say a Erl or Squape R, or a Lemo. Anyone with either of those and this that could chime in would be great. Ive been eyeing this thing as ive been on the hunt for a new tank but im on the fence. I dont like restrictive tanks (IE: Kayfun) so I try and be cautious about what I buy so if anyone could give any insight id be much obliged.
