Thanks so much :) Luckily I had done some DT shopping, so right after I built this built I was in the bag trying on new tips. :) I agree, I think this tip is perfect for the Aqua. The one you have on yours is handsome too, gives the whole tank a different line .. more structured. Isn't it neat the way a DT can make or break an atty?

Well, now I need to do so shopping...found your link to that tip. Agree, they are such an important piece to the overall look. You hit the nail on the head with that one though. Footoon should hire you.

I agree the v2 is drier. Definitely easier to build.

I don't get a metallic taste from Ni200. I do go through the process of cleaning it and ever so lightly torching it. Then I work hardened it. And I do gently glow the coils.

Frankly I just prefer Kanthal but Ni200 has some advantages, mainly builds stay cleaner longer.

One day sedge, I hope you get around to a single coil build. Only ones I have found have the reach around type wicking. I think I just need to go duals and learn how to build this to it's design and capability.

Maybe that is why I had the metallic taste? I didn't do any of that .. I did try torching the Ni200 before building with it, but I never got to the point of getting a glow on the coils because both the Ni200 and DNA40 were new to me, so I started firing at around 300F, all the while wondering why I couldn't get the coils to glow. I figured that Ni200 just didn't glow :facepalam:

But I do agree and did find that the builds stayed cleaner for longer and I was using a real coil gunking juice at the time as well.

Initially I was going to do a single coil build, which is usually my preference. But I had hear that you needed to lay wick across the open channels to keep the Aqua V2 from flooding. Somehow I didn't like the idea of wicks soaking up juice that I wouldn't actually get to vape  I had one small bottle of Doctor Custard at the time and I wanted to taste/vape of it!

The Aqua has actually made me appreciate dual coils a lot more, with most atomizers I find them to be overrated.

Turn of TP and set watts to 10 to 15. Glow just for a second while gently pinching with ceramic tweezers.

Aha .. duly noted, so when I get my next TP device ( got rid of the VS) I will know what to do. I am a fan of the Vapor Flask, have been for a long time too, but the SXmini has temporarily stolen my heart  .. but I still have my eye on the VF though :)

Now that would be my dream gig .. Vapeporn consultations, seriously I would LOVEEEEE to do that. I am always telling my Vape buddies what they should be pairing together for their set ups  If they are honest, they will tell you that I am usually right to :p

To know me is to know that I am all about the vapeporn!

I want to say 2.5mm but it could be 2, I dont remember. When I go to refill I'll look at the wraps and size. Ive found I really like 35w on Powerful with this build and juice. The initial 45w brings out the caramel hard on the beginning of the inhale and vanilla and custard toward the end.

Wow - I just dialed the wattage into 29W with powerful mode. Holy cow - that's dripper status. My wicking wasn't quite keeping up with chain vaping. I need to let it recharge a bit to keep blowing huge clouds, but if that isn't impressive I don't know what is.

This RTA can be taken from a sweet mild mannered flavor chaser to a pole dancing harley riding cloud cannon with a few twists of the AFC and a little tweak of the wattage. Color me impressed. ;)

Anybody know what oring size was used to stop the wobble? Mine definitely wobbles a bit. There's no leak and I don't think it will actually come loose, but if there's an easy fix with a larger oring it sounds worth trying.

I just changed the installed oring with a spare and it stopped the wobble.

Who makes the SX mini, I think it's a nice looking mod!!!

I guess it's easier to follow tutorials and look at pictures but I for some reason like to know how they function to get a better understanding of how to wick it properly. I know kayfuns and orchids rely on leaving space for airflow in the channel but it seems like with this there is always juice contacting the wick even if the channel was stuffed with wick in this particular design or even the vapordna silverplay.

Does this work like a kayfun with the vacuum or does it simply just allow juice through the four holes then to the channels and soak into wick?

Vacuum just like the Kayfun. Its the exact setup as the Kayfun V4 but Footoon came out with it first. Instead of having the juice channels open straight into the tank the bell has holes in it that allow juice into a sub chamber that goes to the juice channels, which allows you to control juice flow by raising or dropping the bell.
The juice channels are so big however they have cotton tails running down them instead of leaving them bare.
