Lots of things were acceptable that aren't anymore. Remember when everybody was walking around with bluetooth headsets in their ear? It looked stupid, it was a little rude, and I'm glad it's over. Heck, SMOKING is silly. We have no problem telling people that. What's the big deal about calling cloud chasing silly? It is. Hot dog eating contests are silly too.
That's definitely the solution and it's the gas stations and convenience stores doing this which are also the same places that sell synthetic drugs to teens disguised as incense and now e-liquid.It sounds like the solution is to crack down on people who makes vaping gear available to kids then. It seems to me that the self-governing that the industry is doing by restricting purchases to adults is working and the outliers are the convenience stores that don't care who buys their stuff, as long as the buy it. I would be willing to bet that those same convenience stores have no problems in letting kids buy cigarettes or beer either.

If you jump over to the Michigan section of this board, you will find a thread with a news article where legal eliquid manufacturers were being slandered last fall as drug manufacturers when channel 4 news used their product and company name as a prop to describe illegal drugs. These are also the same places that used to sell me cigarettes as a kid.
Since teens are curious to try things that make them look cool or adult like, I had a long discussion about vaping with my son who starts high school in the fall, telling him he is going to probably start seeing these things along with peer pressure. He told me half the kids already have one in his middle school. I asked him to describe the products and he said nobody has the kind of gear I use. They all have the Chinese egos that these gas stations are selling. I believe he said they are charging the kids $20 for a pen and a small bottle of liquid.

All the above.
Which really makes me wonder, how the government can expect to successfully keep kids from getting ecigs when these types that we use are Not typically the kind that kids are using! And the ones we use are the ones they are trying to ban!!! UGH![]()
*banging head against brick wall*
She can't either![]()
All I know is that it's a bad idea to tell teenagers that they shouldn't try something.
There is no better way to insure that they will.
I lika the clouds and i don't judge anyone that does something diffrent than I. However, I do not like blowing them in public places, places that we never smoked in when we were smokers.
I think that young kids in cold weather blowing to see their breath may have been the first cloud chasers.
So there is really no skill here and like the term suggest clouds are the only thing being chased and the only thing being gained.
I beg to differ..... There is a lot of skill involved in building good cloud chaser coils.........![]()
No skill involved in that?
Or how about building a cloud producer on a limited device, say an istick 20w that has a 1 ohm limitation? That takes knowing the proper gauge and diameter ID to get the ideal heat flux out of your build. If its not something you know or care to know that's fine, but don't pretend there is no skill involved, and don't pretend that people pushing the envelope to get the most out of their gear hasn't effected the vape world in a positive way by bringing innovation to the gear we have available.
