Are You a Social Vaper, or a Lone Wolf?

I've got a few friends into the vaping world. They're pretty excited about it and we talk vape-set-ups. For the most part I'm on my own so I vape on my own. But I do tend to vape more when I'm around others to particularly show off my device. I mean, come on, who doesn't want to show off what they're vaping? Especially when the flavor even smells so yummy.

I pretty much use mods and vv/vw around the house, or around friends who know how much I like doing this. If I'm around family or working, I still use my ego's.

I have no one to talk to about it I've known a couple of people who tried the earlier cig-alikes from gas stations, and maybe tried a newer kind, but that's it. I got a friend an ego kit for her birthday, but she's not vaping right now. My husband just kind of spaces out when I talk about vaping with him (which I guess is only fair because I do that when he talks math or computer stuff, sometimes). My only vaping socialization is here and on twitter. Mostly here, though, because I think all my twitter vaping friends have fallen off the face of the planet

Most of my fellow employees have them and we even turned our boss onto his. He was originally dipping so that's a big improvement.

Of all my friends/acquaintances, I was the only one that smoked and only a few even knew that I did. I don't know anyone that vapes, and nobody knows that I do.

Unless you count dragging my husband along on the ride, I guess you can put me in the lone wolf category. He's not interested in talking about anything, but he will try anything once I get it. Eventually, he'll start playing with it on his own, and then he'll borrow it and never return it. If he was interested in talking about it, I'd have known to buy double of whatever I buy. There is one client I work with who vapes. We talk and show off equipment occasionally.

I'm a lone wolf about everything. Downright antisocial as a matter of fact. That doesn't mean that I can't enjoy the aesthetics and functionality of good equipment, though.

I thought I was going to be a lonewolf. Then I find out there are 2 other vapers on my shift. For two of us it is a hobby and we geek out, trade gear, etc. One guy had a Blu cigalike and was not too happy, but the other vape geek hooked him up with an ego battery and he seems just fine with that.

My other buddy was a smoker (today was the first day I saw him without smokes) tried Blu and got a bum battery. Took it back for a refund, but he kept checking out the gear of us two vape geeks. Another guy on first shift talked him in to picking up an ego battery, and I bought him a little vision nano clone and some juice. Yesterday he said "I don't really want to smoke anymore."

Another loner here. LOL For me, it isn't by choice though. I don't know anyone who vapes here apart from my brother and sister in law, who I hardly see. How do vapers meet? I've wondered if there is some kind of meet up or convention type thing for vapers.

Lone wolf. I have not seen another vaper in my area. I really don't care what others think about what this is since I'm using it for battery life and ease of use. I could use cig-a-likes or a more discreet setup but then I would have to carry too much stuff with me. I've been using this setup since December of last year and is just as easy, for me now, as smoking used to be. If not easier since I don't have to worry about lighting a cig in the wind

My setup is Provari with extension cap and nova 3.5 on top. Not a cig-a-like or pen style by any shape or form. Fresh battery in when I leave the house and small bottle of liquid in my purse....good for the day! Just like having a fresh pack of cigs and a lighter back in the day.

EDIT: Wow, I never would have thought, at the beginning of my vape journey, I would ever say that last sentence! Learn your device and all it's quirks and will get easy for you.

And that is exactly how my journey began! It had to be as easy as carrying a pack of smokes and a lighter, or I would have given up on vaping! Sadly, that is exactly what cost me so @#$#@ much money as I kept buying the wrong things ... for the ease of use ... NOT the quality of the vape!

Well, as for meetups, there is if you start one! I have seen a couple of conventions advertised here on the "right" coast, but haven't had the chance to attend any ... yet ...
