Yeah, another lone vaper here. All my friends, especially smokers, think I'm crazy and are not interested. I NEVER see anyone vaping in public. I live in a large metro area and there are at least 5 B&Ms within a five mile radius, all really nice and staffed with friendly, knowledgeable people. These places all do a huge business, with customers usually lined up at the counters. I visit these places just to be able to enjoy my vape with other vapers. Sad, I think vaping should be a social occasion, but not in this area!

Thank you. I think it helped that I have young adult grandchildren who don't look that different than the people at the vape shop! Still, I had to psych myself up a little before I walked in. I'm so glad I did.

I am another old lady vaper you are not alone.

Our only vape shop in this one horse small town is a single counter in a Tatoo parlor/ head shop/adult toys store. Yeah it took me (an old goth from way back) awhile to screw up my courage to set foot in the place it is that bad. The kids in there were very condescending to me until I pulled out my REO and blew a huge cloud. The looks were priceless. :)

I am a lone vapor as well. TO this day I have never seen another person vaping. Even in that shop I am not sure any of them actually USE the devices. ECF + Youtube have sof ar been all I need.

No it sucked. I had about a year of trail and error and it was so expensive. Just emptied out a drawer of ecig junk that wouldn't give to my worst enemy. Made a vaping buddy, they sent me here, went to a Vape meet and life got much better. And I am not really comfortable with people, ya dig? But I will be heading out to the Vapefest in DC, cause I find being able to try new things and hear about other peoples experience saves me pain and cash.

The tough part is it is so personal, what I love you might hate and you just don't know till ya try it.

I so just imagined this in my head and it was awesome. Never judge the book by the cover.

Lone Vaper have one friend who vapes but just SVD with Evod MT3, no one understands when I talk Vape and people say "I don't understand how it works?" sometimes i have the patience to explain sometimes it's the same people and that does my bonce in! I'm hoping to convert my m8 into rebuildables as he does seem interested but since both got Padawan it's hard to find time.

I'm not sure if it is allowed, but recently I discovered local vape groups on FB (I hope I'm allowed to mention this here) and gone to a meet.
Maybe you can check those out, there are lots of vape groups out there.
I just tried that and found 4 Vape Stores. Two I had already heard about, the other two I hadn't. And, I know of 2 more that weren't there because one of them has commercials on local radio, and the other one is the only B&M that I've ever actually been to.

So, there are at least 6 B&Ms in San Antonio!!! One of them even mentioned a Vapemeet last October. I guess I need to start following their FB page. Thanks for the idea!

Of course, by the time I discovered even the first one, the only one I've been to, I had already been vaping for close to 2 years. So, there wasn't much to do there but browse/sight-see. I did get to see a Provari and a Silver Bullet in person. They're much smaller than I had thought. The Silver Bullet was much prettier than I could have imagined. But, I don't have that kind of money right now. Oh, well.

I guess I don't have to be a lone vaper anymore. But, I have ECF. There is one thing I would like to see about though. I would like to go to a coil-wrapping class. That might help boost my self-confidence and help me get better at it. I've only wrapped one coil so far. It was passable, but not good. I keep putting off trying again.

I love it! I wish I could have seen their faces! I sometimes get a shocked reaction from people when they find out just how much I know and what I think. I'm overweight, old, and shy. And, I was raised at a time that I was afraid I would be burned as a witch if I ever expressed my true opinions. I hesitate to express my opinions. But, when people get a hint of what I know . . . . . You should see the looks!

We should start a lonely vapors club.

I am so down with this!

You know what makes me twinge with jealousy? The people complaining about their spouses taking their vape stuff. Not that I'm in any hurry to get married, or even in a relationship, but a guy would go up a million points in my book if he vaped with me :2cool: It just sounds like a fun thing to do together :)

Yet another lone vaper here... Everything I know about vaping I've learned here on the ECF - this place rocks! Almost at the two week point of vaping - don't miss the analogs at all. Just found my first B&M here in Houston, one exit down the freeway from where I work. Lunch was very interesting yesterday, chock full of flavors as they had a tasting bar of 100+ cartos to sample.

I am so happy you are not giving up on vaping. I have a few things to say.
1) My husband and I own a shop and we are 48 and 55 years old. We have been doing this for 4 years now and it has saved my life. We have so many success stories and that is why we do it.
2). I don't like someone saying, go to the local shop, find what you like then order it online. If you don't support your local B&M they won't be able to stay open to be there for you when you need them.
3) feel free to message me with any questions, all I care about is your success. We encourage all our new customers to try the EVOD starter kits and my husband makes all of our juice.

I run into smokers on the job or in the neighborhood. I usually bust out my mod. Tell them how I quit analogs after 20 + years after loving smoking for so long. And how I can't pick up a stinky now without getting nauseous. I encourage them to try it out, and offer to help them with whatever questions or problems they might have about gear, juice, whatever. I previously thought I'd probably die from smoking related illness in the future, cause I just couldn't quit. I think about these people chained to an addiction I can relate to, and honestly want to see them live a longer life for their friends and loved ones. I know today's culture conveys the message we're not supposed to care about anyone or anything. That's a load of crap. We're all brothers and sisters on this big rock. We've got to look out for one another.

hi all

i've also started out as a lone vaper from the circle of friends and people around me. Making matter worse, ecig is illegal from where i live, so you can imagine how much trouble i went through to get my hardware and supplies. On top of that, I can't really recount the hours i spent on researching online to get more information on vaping. But since the day i 1st vaped on my very 1st disposable, i am convinced at that instant, i have found a solution to quit or lest reduce on my 25yrs smoking habit.

Along the way, i've introduced vaping to 2-3 of my friends who are still on analogs and i'm glad it has helped them to reduce reliance on smoking to cure their nicotine addiction. But sadly, they are contented with their current basic setup and juices thus couldn't share my enthusiasm onto better device and juices available. It has been a long way since where i came from, from disposables to my first refillable kit and on to ego with tons of compatible clearo/tanks available on the market. Trust me, every vivi nova, protank, ego-cc i bought was preceded by hours of laborious information gathering online. That is inevitable as i don't have any access on seeing the real stuff prior to purchase, even if i can find vaper here, everyone is hush-hush on their stash due to the strict legislation here and hell i would have even did the same thing.

On my latest venture, bought myself regulated mod and mech, its kinda sad when i can't share the joy of the new vaping experience i get outta these stuffs. Of next which i would like to explore onto rda/rba, and it is a daunting task for a noob like me without sufficient technical knowledge. At times i cursed for not having someone to show me the how-do on it but i hope i can overcome by reading more and asking more. This bring me to the point of saying its not very encouraging to ask like a noob at times. Be sure some forumer wil not hesitate to jump on gun to take your uncertainty, lack of knowledge and fear as "some ignorant a%$ who is lazy to do own homework". To these people i wouldn't think of getting back at them, just wish that for everytime when u're ready to unleash hell on noobish post, you gotta be reminded that not everybody share the same resources, knowledge etc as you are. Yes, i do know there are tons of self-help video online, but when these people direct their criticism and sarcasm at noobs like me, do they know about the person situation? For the record, most of the days i have to travel to developing countries due to my work nature, whereby telecommunication may not be their priority. A 20mins Pbusardo review on youtube will probably take me more than 40mins realtime if i am lucky not having to reload screen more than once. For that, i always remind myself be kind and spare some patience. I couldn't say much more good thing about vaping so far and slowly i got to know and even met some vaper in person. For anyone who encounter similar situation as i did, i hope you wouldn't give up.

Many thanks to the OP and much apology for my lengthy post. This thread allows me to summarise my thoughts and getting it off my mind for once.

I was an alone vaper... I converted a few people to vaping. I have a general idea of what works and doesn't now. So I usually show them the different styles that are relatively reliable and they decide which style they prefer best. Now this thread makes me jealous of them. I had to figure this out all on my on doing research on here lol.

I have been vaping for 2 1/2 yrs, and I am a lone vaper. I have never even seen another person vaping in real life. I started DIY within a month of my vaping journey, so I have always had good e liquid to use. E liquid is a important aspect of the overall vape experience, and I hope you have found something to satisfy you.

I agree I have been at this for awhile, what I find these days is people want it easy quick and with no thought involved. I have given kits away at my expense to help those in hard times. They quit at once when you stop giving them equip liquids heads etc. I have given up on helping people, if they take the initiative on their own- I can help otherwise forget it. Seems everyone is looking for a free ride and I won't play anymore.
