Well, I'm about tired of finding ejuice all over the top of my iSticks; not sure if it's just condensed trapped vapor (the consensus of the kayfun lite thread) or there are actual leaks, but I'm using my 510/ego adapters and flared cones to keep those kayfuns up OFF the iSticks, so they don't get ruined with ejuice, whatever its source.

Thx! I'm thinking I might use my chrome straight cone instead of the chrome flared; for the black, all I have is the flared, so it'll have to do. I just finally came to the conclusion that the source of the ejuice is somewhat irrelevant -- *any* ejuice from any source could potentially ruin a battery, and those being new, I don't want to kill 'em before they're even a month old! So I lose a bit of the low-profile feature, but maybe it'll keep my iSticks from being ruined.

I have an adapter on my Vamo, partially for that reason. However, I covered the ego part with layers of duck tape. My last Vamo died from juice on the inside. Fortunately, this one got stripped 510 threads, and therefore will not die from juice OD.

I bet if you switched over to a GS Air you would never have another leak! :)

I've looked at those, good-looking tanks, but it doesn't look like the coils can be rebuilt, so that would be a huge step backward -- got sick of the replacement costs MONTHS ago. And factory-built coils are really a crap-shoot; could be a good coil, last a long time... or could be a dud right outta the box.

I also just got an email from VaporBeast about the new Innokin isub or whatever it's called; anyone tried those? I realize they're "sub ohm" and thus not strictly tootle-puffer hardware, but I know a lot of Innokin fans in here from the iTaste vv3 thread. I can't find the actual resistance of the coils for it listed anywhere -- and they're like $2 per coil; $9.49 for a 5-pk of the coils, even at a cheap place like VaporBeast. I thought they were nice looking, which is really the only reason I have any curiosity about them at all.

Andria, there's a whole thread dedicated to the GS Airs, much of which is devoted to rebuilds. You should check it out. There's a blog and everything with a video on how to rebuild them. I've been using them with my Isticks for a while now and have never had a single dud or one that lasts for less than a week. Just my :2c:

Yeah, I think some juice got into my Vamo too, when I used the cartotank on it all the time; there's a little "washer" looking thing, supposed to be attached at the top of the battery tube, but it falls out everytime I change the battery, so I have to put it back in and shake it around until it lays flat. Paying only $17 for my Vamo, I'm a bit surprised that it's still working after 8 months, including 3-4 months of hard daily use with cartotank, but I'll take it. :thumb: I don't use it a lot anymore, which is maybe why it's still hanging in there. :)

Well that's good news indeed, being able to rebuild them, so I may be over there to scope it all out. Thx! :thumb:

Push those tanks LVM :) they are one of the best if not the best BCCs out. My :2c: too. I hope you get to feelin better..

I just built a vertical coil for the M and not so good. I did a 2.5mm tryin to get more air flow but it didn't leave enough room for much rayon around it. I may try again with a 1.5mm. The air inlet won't allow more than that through anyway. Maybe I should drill it.

Not to mention ELeaf made the GS's FOR the ISticks...

Andria, I've read that whole thread. It's a monster. I just got an iS 30 and the first 2 cartos I'll buy for it will be GS's.

From Cheech's vid, the main difference between a rebuild for the GS vs an Evod/PT is the 1 layer of gauze wrap and getting the
shroud on over that. Doesn't look too difficult though.

I think I used the 16 gauge needle which fit in the air hole of the bottom plug...
I hope that makes sense? Kept the process stable while putting it back together.

I didn't have a problem keepin it stable. I just built it too big (no point in goin over the size of the inlet) and couldn't get enough wick material around it and then lined it. I had to pack what little rayon I could get around it and line it with tampon de gaze. I did a great .088 nickel build in my Lemo though:) much easier.

Not trying to be a debby downer - nor stop a very instructive and informative discussion, however I think it's time to rename this thread . . . The RBA/RDA and How to rebuild coils . . . So "Tottle Pruffer's" can achieve "Cloud Nirvana" . . . JustSayin' . . . ;)

Good morning/evening fellow tootle puffers :p

A big thanks to the folks that headed me off to find the anyvape davide glassomizers. I bought a couple and they arrived yesterday. I bought the version with the additional collar and Finally I have a tank that I think looks great with my other tanks does not weigh a tonne on spinner/twist batteries plus it means I can use the aspire BVC coils that work so well in my billet boxs. (Seen in tray with neon pink battery)

I also received a freebie gift of an ego one atomizer which I also set up. That has been working quite well. Its borderline for me and works better with a lung hit. I am not very good at that but the flavour is good. I don't like not seeing the Eliquid levels (too paranoid about dry hits) I have it on a heatvape defender and its a nice compact TP device
