Smell is important to your taste sensation. If you block your nose you loose most of your flavour. We have a couple of folks back home that have no sense of smell (from birth) and they rely on eliquids that are made to give mouth or tongue sensation.

I can't cope with the floral scents in eliquids and once in my nose everything is tainted.
Andria needs to just tape a gardenia petal to the outside of her carto tank and tootle some jasmine tea flavored juice?

Hmm an aroma therapy attachment for your mod?

Ok, Tootlers, a question.

A very generous member (Hi Sean!) PIF'd me an iS 30. I need to get a 510-Ego adapter for it though.

I see 2 styles, one, like the ELeaf factory one with the knurled disk at the bottom, and one without any disk.

Is one preferable to the other and if so, why?

Bruce, I've found that with certain tanks with ego threads (my T3S tanks especially) that some ego adapters block the air holes in the tanks. Innokin adapters, in particular, block off the air holes completely. The one made by eLeaf seems to work best with those tanks. So depending on what tanks you're using the adapter for, you might want to keep that in mind.

I've looked at those, good-looking tanks, but it doesn't look like the coils can be rebuilt, so that would be a huge step backward -- got sick of the replacement costs MONTHS ago. And factory-built coils are really a crap-shoot; could be a good coil, last a long time... or could be a dud right outta the box.

I also just got an email from VaporBeast about the new Innokin isub or whatever it's called; anyone tried those? I realize they're "sub ohm" and thus not strictly tootle-puffer hardware, but I know a lot of Innokin fans in here from the iTaste vv3 thread. I can't find the actual resistance of the coils for it listed anywhere -- and they're like $2 per coil; $9.49 for a 5-pk of the coils, even at a cheap place like VaporBeast. I thought they were nice looking, which is really the only reason I have any curiosity about them at all.

Just got one from the trade thread.... Not a tootle puffer for sure!
The coils are .5 ohm... Air flow is massive. For the price range, they give the sub tank a run for its money on performance (though no where near the build quality).

Yeah that was about what I figured about that iSub.

I looked into the GS Airs a little bit; it seems that it needs a dual coil setup, which I absolutely LOATHE in all its forms. A tank that's made to be used with dual coils is going to have a LOT more airflow than I want, even in its tightest configuration, so I gotta pass on that; evern if I could rebuild it with a single coil, being unable to tighten the airflow would make it completely unsatisfactory to me. Bear in mind that someone told me that the Derringer could be closed down tightly for tootle puffing, and that is a lie, it's airy as all get out, and if the tiny-opening genie driptips don't fix it for me, then I won't be using it; I want a TIGHT draw, not a big whoosh of air.

Andria, they work great with a rebuilt single coil. Probably a little better in flavor. Also the GSA has the best air adjustment of any atty I own. It's necessary to use a small screwdriver but once you set it it stays. And it will adjust down to zero (no air) completely blocked. I highly suggest you try one even with your concerns. You won't regret it. :)

What's a tootle Puffer? Someone bother to explain?

"An affectionate term for vapers generally using lower watt devices with atomizer resistance of 1.0ohm or above and who utilize the Mouth to Lung (MTL) style of vaping. The opposite of a cloudchaser."

From this post... :)

Hmm... well in that case, the GS Air M or MS? Does it matter, does one vape better than the other?

I haven't bought the MS. The GS Air M vapes as well as the GS Air. It just holds more liquid and has an air ring adjustor. The MS is a short version of the M.

I dunno, I see the little bullet looking thing the coil is in, and apparently it will mean going tiny again, like when I rebuilt T3S and Mini PT II coils... I really don't think I want to do that; being able to actually see and manipulate the coil at a scale that's comfortable for me has been a great boon, since I went to Kayfuns. The GS Air is only 16.5mm so it's not even a "full size" tank; it would look pretty good on the rounded top of my Galileo, but kinda lost on a 22mm mod, or the iStick itself.

Think I'll just stick with tanks that I know suit me well -- kayfuns.

Well, if you didn't like building T3Ss then you won't like the GSAs. The Mega is bigger but uses the same coil. You would like the Lemo 2 though and it's airflow. But you're probably better stayin with what you know and like. :)

I do think the Lemo would suit me better -- what is the diff in the Lemo and Lemo 2? I had thought that the 2 might be airier, but maybe not? How do they differ?

The Lemo 2 is top fill, which is a very nice and convenient feature. The airflow is adjustable to zero so you can dial in the draw you like. You would probably want to change the wide bore drip tip though.

I'm in the mood......finally :)
Before my time but a great piece of music history

Ahh! The good ol' days when white people could dance. We had a couple of professional dancers move to the neighborhood when I was about 7 or 8. All the kids my age on our street (namely me and all my friends) were suddenly attending their acrobatic rock 'n' roll lessons. I'm trying to both forget about this tune and not imagine what was going on at home 3 nights a week. There was not a single birth in the entire neighborhood following that, which adds to the mystery...

You know, it just occurred to me, that those who perhaps started as tootlers on their cigalikes or egos or what-have-you but have since moved on to 'cloudz yo' probably see us as irretrievably stuck to our old habit.

Or perhaps we're merely more focused on the actual reason for vaping in the first place, to knock off the coffin nails.

Andria

Perhaps it was love at first vape and they're jealous we didn't need to keep looking.

A Tootle Puffer is a vaper who just enjoys a nice moderate flavorful vape without doing heavy cloud hits.
A Tootle Puffer is a vaper who vapes for enjoyment not show. As long as I'm getting a satisfying vape I don't care if there's a big cloud or very little.
