It happens so often to me I call those trips/falls carpet checks :)

hehehe... I discovered a couple months ago that klutzy people really shouldn't live in homes with ceramic tile throughout... still got a black and blue bone-bruised knee!!

Be careful Andria. I have an aunt who tripped over a vacuum cleaner cord and fell on a hardwood floor and broke her arm near the shoulder. Do you have a Life Alert? ;)

do they have mods with built in life alerts?

Now THERE is the next feature we need! Life alert built into our always in hand mods. Genius Robert!

You need a shark skin like my Vapor Shark has. It just bounces a little.

No, but I can scream loud enough even for my near-deaf husband to hear me. :D Hitting your knees at full speed on ceramic tile HURTS!!!!!!! Fortunately I only got a bone-bruise on one of them, but they both still ache, and that was about 2 months ago.

the damage to my spinal cord affected mainly my left side (with some right leg involvement) and sometimes when I go to take a step forward my left leg acts like it just isn't there and down I go with no warning! I think my knees are permanently bruised, broken foot and toes from hyper-extension, broken wrist but since I lack a lot of sensation/feeling to the left not much pain. I suppose I could use my walker all of the time but what fun is that :p

I've had slightly similar experiences because I am one of those people called "double jointed" -- which isn't an anatomically-accurate description at all; what it really means is that I have weird connective tissue which can allow my joints to move in ways they were never designed to -- like when you take a step, and instead of your knee flexing in the usual manner, it flexes backward..,. which hurts like the very devil, and boom, down I go. This has happened more than once, but far more often, when trying to turn/pivot, my knees will sorta lock, so that my thigh goes ahead and does the pivot, but the knee does not -- with a loud pop and a louder yell. I hate to think what my knees will be like in 20-30 more years... which I might actually manage to live, since quitting smoking. Maybe I need to take up a new self-destructive habit. :D

Two features that should be in every regulated mod would be really helpful to me. First, the ability to send it a signal from my cell phone and have the mod beep or call me back with gps coordinates. Second, a drop counter instead of a puff counter, so I can keep track of how many times I've dropped it.

A third feature could be useful too - an inactivity alert/life alert. Should my mod remain unvaped for more than 15 minutes from 6am until 11pm, it should immediately call EMS - something must be very wrong!
