I don't think cigars/pipes are NEARLY as addictive as cigarettes... I've known quite a few who might have a cigar or smoke a pipe *occasionally*... but nearly all cigarette smokers I've known, did it pretty much continually. I'm thinking it's because a) cigar/pipe tobacco doesn't contain all the additives which are added to cigarette tobacco *for the express purpose* of increasing addictiveness, and b) pipes/cigars aren't generally "inhaled" but are used more like vaping, slow draw, slow hang-around in the mouth/throat, slow exhale via the nose as much as the mouth -- so you don't get the near-IMMEDIATE uptake of the nicotine and the other chemicals, as you do with cigarette smoking, which are nearly always inhaled very quickly and deeply.

If a former cigarette smoker now vapes, but occasionally enjoys a pipe or cigar, I don't think that really jeopardizes their non-smoker standing.

My dad was a non-smoker but as a child I do remember him sharing a cigar with his brother on Christmas Day!

I view smoking a cigarette like I view eating at Taco Bell, it's something you do to remind yourself why you don't do it. :D

A smoke on your Birthday or a special occasion is fine as long as that smoke doesn't turn into an odd packet, before you know where you are your back to full time smoking again. The odd cigarette or cigar ain't going to kill ya, it's the 40 a day year after year that will.
I had a roll up a few weeks ago it was foul but then my wife had left me for her secret 8 month affair so I thought, what the hell. I knew that pre nup would come in handy.

This going on several threads so I can find who dunnit...

The big deal for today was getting VAPEMAIL! Not only did I get some juice, but a box that I did not order (and if I won it, no vendor has told me so). Lannie claims she did not order it either. And there are only about three people on this forum that I am aware of (not including all the vendors) who know my mailing address. But someone bought a brand new iStick TC40W Limited Edition and had it drop-shipped to me. This person did not forewarn me and, so far, no one has even suggested this might happen. If it was you, or if you know who did it, please PM me so that I can thank him/her personally.

I say this is Limited Edition because these things come in silver, gray, black, or blue. The wood grain is NOT a cheap wrapping. It was manufactured that way.

My dad was a heavy smoker, until on day he said "I'll be damned if I'll pay twenty five cents for a pack of cigarettes". He never smoked again.

Yes, he did have a heart issue though as well. So we're not really sure it was the smokes. Sure it didn't help though.

no, and that is common with people who have heart ailments. The smoking puts an added strain on the heart which often leads to massive coronaries.
