Did you get that from froginfog by any chance? It really looks great and they also have the Origen Genesis V2 MK II in 6ml's (want) as well.

Yep, Frog in Fog, best price I found. And I think I'm going to order another, I like it so well. :D I did the experiment, laying it down on its side overnight (I did put some paper towels down, just in case!). Not a single leak! YAY! Fancy that, an rda that doesn't leak!!

My *only* complaint... since it's both threaded and o-ringed on both the topcap and the "body" of it, the topcap is rather difficult to remove -- it's so slender, top to bottom, it's hard to get a grip on it. But considering it's those o-rings backing up the threads, preventing leakage, it's kinda hard to complain about it.

The guy who did the video review I watched had removed the "screw" from the airflow control thingie, the way that people often do to Kayfuns (it's the same exact type of airflow control, using one of those L-shaped "allen" wrench things). It really is a tight draw, much tighter than kayfuns -- as he noted in the video, after a hit, you'll be feeling your lips to see if you got ejuice in your mouth -- but it's just that the flavor is so "juicy" and intense.

Here's a similar one that's been cloned (Diver):

Don't forget to get NR-R-NR wire to go with it (also available at FT).

Can someone explain this to me, about the NR-R-NR wire? Why do you need that? Why not just a regular coil? I'm very tempted to get one of these, since I didn't win the sophia, but... I don't know about this NR-R-NR wire...

Okay Andria I looked this up because I was wondering the same thing. Here is what I found and I copied it to paste it here.
Ok... So do you guys know what the difference is between resistance and non-resistance wire is?

One gets hot (resistance) and one doesn't (non-resistance). They do this as a two piece in these devices specifically to prevent getting 'hot legs' in your coil and burning the rubber insulator (if you haven't experienced this, it's godawful and can ruin a tank) as the legs extending through the base and insulator won't get hot, where solid Kanthal can, and often does, especially if chain vaping.

The NR-R-NR wire looks like this, you can see the little bumps where they weld normal wire to the coil Kanthal.

The Diver has a ceramic cup that sits half way up where the slots are, the coil wires run down the sides to the base in the bottom unit. You don't want the wires in the base heating up or adding a lot of extra resistance so they use NR-R-NR to coil it with.

The Ithaka is the same way the NR wires run down the side of the ceramic cup to the 510 connector which you can see in the center of the picture.

FT has premade coils if you want to get into that type of device.

Good to hear about the no leaking, I am going to have to get one of those!

Yes they use NR-R-NR coils in all the Kanger/Aspire coil heads so the insulator doesn't burn. It's a lovely taste you get from the burnt rubber.

Hmm... I'm wondering what sort of pre-made coils they offer, if they might have the 1.3-1.7 Ω that I prefer. Guess I'll have to go peruse 100 pgs of their site, to find out. But actually... I'd have to have one of those Divers in my hands, to know if it would fit. All that is why I haven't already acquired one of those; my coil building skills are fairly limited, and the thing about the NR-R-NR wire just threw me for such a loop, I kinda just put it out of my mind. :(

A lot of them use the NR-R-NR wire as opposed to the premade coils. This allows you to wrap the Kanthal around your wick material and then the NR legs are ready to connect up.
$2.29 Pre-made Welded Wires - NR-R-NR (100-Pack) 100-pack - 0.2mm (32 AWG) / 1.5ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

IMHO the Diver looks to be a large PiTA to use, but I could be very wrong.

FT has them already coiled up like that or straight as well, in case you wanna make your own. ;)

And thanks for explaining that so I won't have to!

Plus it's more efficient, cuz all the heat goes up where the action is.

It's the same thing Andria, if you prefer to wrap your own - you just want the little nubbins where they were welded to end up at the ends of your coil. Only downside is that once in awhile (not often), they break apart at the weld while you're fiddling with your build.

I'm just kinda half-heartedly trying to find a way to get some use out of my cartotanks; I've got a gorgeous gun-metal one, and a dear friend -- you know who you are! ;) -- also PIFed me a couple, a cyan-blue and lavender one, with the lock-rings I like just like the gun-metal one, but with my gunky DIY, cartos might last a few hours -- at most! Figured if I had a sort of "rebuildable carto" maybe I could go back to using those.

But with my extreme pleasure with this Achilles, I'm not even sure I'll keep using my Kayfuns very much. :D Who'd a thunk it, an RDA that leaks less than a Kayfun! Simply amazing. :D
