Yes it's a 2.5mm, if you click on the link in that post it will take you to Stem Engine showing the specs on the build. Others build with 28g but I find it a little too flimsy when trying to run a wick through the coil. Verticals work in it as well and provide a straight up airflow, you have to have the negative coil lead on the bottom so it won't short out against the chimney. I couldn't get enough wick tight to the coil, so I didn't have much luck with a vertical build. Dual coils in the Rose are just a waste of battery power, much easier to wick but too hard on the power for what you get out.
I use the split wick method, mount your coil and pull the wick through on the diagonal. Then instead of folding the wick back over itself and around to come out the other juice channel. I split the wick (Rayon or KGD) tail in half and pull the halves out each channel. Trim off the excess but you don't have to have it razor flush with the opening. The scissors I use leave a tiny bit, this little excess lets me know how far to screw on the chimney. Juice up the wick, fill the tank by moving the chimney up a few mm so when you push sideways on the DT end, the chimney will tilt to give you space between it and the tank.
Screw the base onto the tank and screw in the chimney, I just screw the chimney on till I start to feel that little bit excess wick providing resistance. I have run all different ratios of juice through it this way and have never had it leak, gurgle or dry hit. If the juice is high VG I sometimes tighten the chimney to the resistance point then unscrew a little less than 1/4 turn.
You'll know the spot, there should be bubbles rising with after each vape.
Busardo's review of the Rose is good for a watch and a laugh, especially the opening. Turns into a comedy of errors as it progresses. The guy is so long winded...
Also, here is Eden Mods Split Wick Tutorial where then bend the cotton back over itself.
Hope you get it vaping good, the Rose is one of the top flavor tanks out there.

Forget the screw drivers, forget the mods, forget the zombie's. I love women that vape, full stop, why ?
Ya gotta love a woman with an oral fixation![]()
Well you did it without warning, I never even got chance to floss..And what a selfie from taking your pic while looking at that![]()
He is indeed great at what he does, but a little to .... with minor issues sometimes. I like watching Todd, Matt from Suck My Mod and for high end stuff Damien from A Bloody Good Vape is great. I admit I do watch Rip for all the foolishness and I absolutely can't stand Indoor Smoker or Twisted 420.Thanks again. Yes, I did watch Busardo in that review - actually I watched him twice, once before getting the Rose and again when I actually had it in my hands. He is long winded but I do like watching hi, especially if you have an hour to kill.Once you watch enough of his videos you realise they all follow the exact same formula which actually works because he is so down to earth and only mildly theatrical. Some other reviewers are just over the top and some seem to have the patience of Job. Busardo is long winded but he is always saying something... not just waffling because he wants to fill the time or because he really has no clue what he's on about like some others.
I did use 28 gauge in my first build but I agree 26 would work better and there is ample space for it on that deck. I have tried both the split wick and the sort of up and over wick - both worked although I would say the split wick (which was my first one) worked better. I'm not a fan of vertical coils so have not tried that and like you said, I don't think there is any need for dual coils in the Rose.
I don't know if it is just me but when you chain vape that atty it gets sooooo hot. It is truly a great big hunk of steel. I like it though perhaps not as much as the KF 3.1 ES. For the same level of airflow my KF3 is tops.
Those bags were designed to have the charger itself outside the bag and the Li-po pack inside it....so has anyone come up with a definite answer as to why the lipo guard bags are or are not a good/safer way to charge your batteries in because I have been using them for the past 4 years without issue or heat some mentioned.
I live on the edge. I just lay my Ego batteries on my desk and charge them.I am curious how many vaping batteries have blown up on the charger and how was these batteries used before the said incident.
I can understand some nitwit takes some batteries that they picked up for 5/$1 and tried to pull 40 amps from them, yeah, they will blow up. I can also understand someone who went from sub-ohming straight to the charger without letting the battery sit for a little while. Thats asking for trouble. I cant understand decent batteries being treated properly needing steel boxes and safety bags just to charge them.
And an automatic Halon system.
Over the last eight years I have had two cordless drill packs pop and one 18650 vent on the charger. All were in contained firesafe areas. All three were caused by the charger failing. The two packs were on a station when it's blower fan failed and they over heated. The 18650 popped because the charger did not stop at 4.2v. Looked like bimetallic corrosion between the board and the voltage sensor.I am curious how many vaping batteries have blown up on the charger and how was these batteries used before the said incident.

With LIPO cells only the battery is inside the bag, the charger is outside the bag. With our regular batteries we put both the battery & the charger inside, and that generates a lot of heat which can be a problem.
I set my charge box on top of a laptop cooling pad.

My Kindle and cellphone both get charged on my nightstand while I sleep.I don't know of anyone who charges their cell phones in a bag, and many of those have li-po cells in them. If it were that big of a hazard, I would think we would be hearing of more office buildings burning down and stuff.

Gives me those Adrenalin filled dreams.
